Bc it known that I, JAMES B. CRUMP, of the town of Portland, in the county of' Callaway, Stat-e of Missouri, have originated and designed n. new Design for a Trade-Mark of which the following is a. full, clear, and exnctl description, reference being had to the annexed drawing, making part of this specification.

My design consists of two columns supporting an arch, with their bases resting upon an inverted arch, both arches being ornamented with scroll-work, and each column having a. vine twined about it. With these are combined the words Crump, Moore, & Co., Nutmeg Tobacco, Portland, Missouri, with scroll-work and leaf' around the words Crump, Moore, & Co.," and an ornament under the word Tobacco."

This design is intended to be used in the form of an engraving or brand, and when used as the latter there will be such breaks in the various parts of the brand as may be necessary to give the requisite strength to the stencil or other plate by which the impression is made.

What I claim as my production, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
