T0 ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
Be it known that I, CHARLES L. TIFFANY, ofthe city, county, and State of New York, have invented s. new and improved Design for Ornament of American Jockey Club; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, which will enable others skilled in the art to make the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part of this specification.
The drawing represents a front elevation of this design.
The object of this design is to produce a neat and elegant ornament for the members of the American Jockey Club, and the principal feature of the design is a monogram representing the letters A, J, C, the letter A being produced by the stirrups, the letter J by the whip, and the letter C by a horse-shoe.
A represents a supporting-plate or disk, to which are secured the stirrups B, which are arranged in such a form as to represent the letter A. Between the stirrups is secured the whip C in such a position as to represent the letter J and under the whip and stirrups is a horse-shoe, D, which naturally resembles the letter C. By these means an ornament is obtained which shows, in a. neat, elegant, and highly ingenious manner, the letters A. J. C., standing for American Jockey Club.
Having thus described my invention, I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent- The design for an ornament of the American Jockey Club, as shown and described.
