More particularly, the invention proposes the construction of an ornament as mentioned which is characterized by an ornament body of wood, composition material or other non-metallic materials, and an adhesive tape associated therewith in a certain way by which it may be comfortably supported on ones ear.

Several forms and embodiments of the invention have been disclosed. In one, the ornament body is hollow and provided with a fastening element around which the adhesive tape may be engaged. In another form, a back closure is provided for covering the hollow of the ornament body and forming a counter-pressure portion to assist in engaging the tape on ones ear. In another form, a wooden dowel pin or similar element is used to comprise the fastening element for supporting the adhesive tape.

The non-metallic cling ear ornament Ill, in accordance with this invention, includes an ornament body I I of any design and construction composed of non-metallic material such as wood, composition material, or the like. The ornament body II is of. hollowconstruction having the interior compass I 4 communicating with the back. The fastening element I2 comprises merely a projection on one side of the ornament body and partially extending across the back of. the hollow I4. The adhesive tape I3 has its adhesive material on one side only. It is slipped across the inner face of the fastening element- I2 and is adhered in this position by its tacky material. engaging the fastening element. The end portions of the tape extend upwards and downwards from the fastening element and are adapted to be cngaged with' a portion of ones ear. The ends of the tape may be cut off to any desired length.

In Figs. 6-8 inclusive, another form of the invention has been disclosed which is very simila',r to the prior form, distinguishing merely in the fact that the ornament body I I is provided with a back closure I5 forming a counter-pressure portion to assist in engaging the tape on ones ear. It is provided with a slot I6 to accommodate the fastening element I2. Therelis sufficient room betweenthe sides of the fastening element I2 and the sides of the slot I6 so that the tape I 3 may extend outwards from the inner face of the fastening element I2.

The slot I6 divides off spaced sections I1 and -I8 of the back closure I5 which are joined together at one side by the'junction portion I9. This junction portion I9 is .of relatively small size and resiliently connects together the portions I1 and I8. Pins 20 project from the opposite sides of the portions I1 and I8 and are engageabl with complementary openings formed upon the inside faces of the body .I I. 2. A non-metallic ear ornament, comprising an' ornament body having a fastening element back, adhesive tape engaging said fastening element andadapted to be adhered upon ones ear, and a back closure for said body forming a counter-pressure'portion for said adhesive tape,
