The `turban may be placed with the cowl over the head and the trailing portions wrapped around the head in many ways, to suit the `fancy of thewearer., Because of the method of fabricationv herein shown, the cowl may be readily I reversedand the other side "of the turban exposed as the exterior surface. Because of the method of finishing, no seams orfabric edges areexposed and the turban, becauseof the choice ofthe two surfaces, which maybe of diierent textures or colors, is completely reversible and in practice gives the wearer the service of two turbans.

Although the invention has been disclosed in connection with the specic details of a preferred embodiment thereof, it is to be understood that 5 such details are not intended to be limitative of the invention except insofar as set forth in the accompanying claims.

What is claimed is:

1. A reversible turban comprising a cowl and l0 two' opposed trailing portions formed from two symmetrical sheets of fabric cut into substangl tially rectangular form, with a deep slot running from the bottom edge upward in the middle of the sheet and a shallow notch cut downward from l5 the top edge in the middle of the sheet,'the sheets being stitched together along their bottom and Y side edges, the top edges of each sheet being doubled over along the middle of the sheet and each sheet stitched to itself along the top edge 20 and the edges of the notch to form a pocket in each sheet, and the pocket in the one sheet turned within the pocket of the other sheet to form a cowl.

4. The method of making a reversible turban, comprising the steps of cutting two symmetrical sheets of fabric substantially rectangular in` shape, cutting a slot upward from the bottom of ea'ch sheet along the middle thereof, cutting a Vvshallow notch in the top yof each sheet along 1 the middle thereof, stitching the two sheets together along the bottoms, the slot edges, and sidey edges thereof, except for a small opening in one edge,f doubling the top portions of each sheet along the middle thereof, stitching the doubled portions of each sheet together along the top edge and edges of the notch to form a pocket in each sheet, bringing the pocket in the inner sheet within and adjacent thepocket in the outer sheet, turning the turban inside out through the hole in the side edge thereof, stitching the unstitched portion in the side edge of they sheets, and drawing the forward portion of the top portion of the two sheets together to form a cowl.J
