- The disclosure relates to phone tethers and more particularly pertains to a new phone tether for tethering a phone or other personal device to a wrist of a user.
- The prior art relates to phone tethers and includes devices which are wearable around a wrist of a user and attaches a phone to the wrist. However, the prior art does not disclose a phone tether which comprises a bracelet and an attachment loop, in which the attachment loop can be threaded through an attachment loop associated with the phone and receive the bracelet to tie to the attachment loop, and in which a plurality of bracelet beads are threaded onto the bracelet which abut the wrist of the user.
- An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a bracelet being flexible and forming a closed loop for receiving a wrist of the user. A plurality of bracelet sliders is arranged along the bracelet. The bracelet is threaded through each bracelet slider of the plurality of bracelet sliders, and the plurality of bracelet sliders is positioned to be configured for abutting a wrist of the user. A tie loop is coupled to and extends away from the bracelet. The tie loop is also flexible. A diameter of the tie loop is smaller than a diameter of the bracelet. The tie loop is configured for threading through an attachment loop associated with the personal device and receiving the bracelet.
- There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
- The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
- The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
-
FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a tether apparatus according to an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 2 is a front view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 3 is an in-use view of an embodiment of the disclosure. - With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
FIGS. 1 through 3 thereof, a new phone tether embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by thereference numeral 10 will be described. - As best illustrated in
FIGS. 1 through 3 , thetether apparatus 10 generally comprises abracelet 12 which is flexible and forms a closedloop 14 for receiving awrist 18 of auser 16. A plurality ofbracelet sliders 20 is arranged along thebracelet 12. Thebracelet 12 is threaded through eachbracelet slider 20 of the plurality ofbracelet sliders 20. The plurality ofbracelet sliders 20 is positioned to abut awrist 18 of theuser 16 such that thebracelet 12 does not abut thewrist 18 of theuser 16, which can cause pain to theuser 16 when thebracelet 12 is formed of a thin material that can cut into thewrist 18 of theuser 16. Eachbracelet slider 20 of the plurality ofbracelet sliders 20 has an ornamental appearance. Eachbracelet slider 20 comprises abracelet bead 22 but may comprise a gemstone, charm, locket, or the like. - A
tie loop 24 is coupled to and extends away from thebracelet 12. Thetie loop 24 is flexible. A diameter of thetie loop 24 is smaller than a diameter of thebracelet 12. Each one of a pair oftie ends 26 of thetie loop 24 is coupled to a respective one of a pair ofbracelet ends 28 of thebracelet 12, and the pair oftie ends 26 is positioned adjacent to each other. The tie loop 24 threads through anattachment loop 38 associated with apersonal device 30 and receives thebracelet 12. Thepersonal device 30 may be a mobile phone, a personal music player, or the like. - Some embodiments of the present invention include a
case 32 with anouter wall 34, in which theouter wall 34 defines aninner space 36 for receiving thepersonal device 30. Theattachment loop 38 is coupled to theouter wall 34 in these embodiments, and anouter surface 40 of theattachment loop 38 may be coplanar with anouter surface 42 of theouter wall 34. - A plurality of
collars 44 is coupled to thetie loop 24. Thetie loop 24 has a pair ofend portions 46 and acenter portion 48, and thecenter portion 48 extends between the pair ofend portions 46. Eachcollar 44 of the plurality ofcollars 44 is coupled to both of the pair ofend portions 46 such that the pair ofend portions 46 are retained adjacent to each other. The plurality ofcollars 44 retains the pair of bracelet ends 28 adjacent to each other. The plurality ofcollars 44 includes acharm 50 which has anornamental shape 52 and a plurality ofcollar beads 54. Eachcollar bead 54 of the plurality ofcollar beads 54 has an ornamental appearance. Eachend portion 46 of the pair ofend portions 46 is threaded through eachcollar 44 of the plurality ofcollars 44. Thebracelet 12 and thetie loop 24 are jointly constructed of anendless cord 56 which comprises afishing line 58. - In use, the
tie loop 24 is threaded through theattachment loop 38 and receives thebracelet 12 such that the tie loop 24 ties to theattachment loop 38. Then thebracelet 12 is worn on thewrist 18 of theuser 16 such that thepersonal device 30 is attached to thewrist 18. - With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
- Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
