Abstract

Adornments for dressing up feet are disclosed. An adornment may include an ankle member. An extension member extends from the ankle member and has a proximal end portion coupled to or integrally joined with the ankle member. At least one arch member is coupled to or integrally joined with and extending from one of the ankle member, the distal end portion of the extension member, the intermediate portion of the extension member, and a combination thereof. Another adornment may include an ankle member. At least one arch member is coupled to or integrally joined with and extending from the ankle member. An extension member extends from the at least one arch member and has a proximal end portion coupled to or integrally joined with the at least one arch member.

CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS

This application is a continuation-in-part application of U.S. Non-provisional patent application entitled “Adornments for Feet”, Ser. No. 12/885,313, filed Sep. 17, 2010, now pending, which claims priority to U.S. Provisional Patent Application entitled “Adornments and Accessories for Feet”, Ser. No. 61/334,888, filed May 14, 2010, the disclosures all of which are hereby incorporated entirely herein by reference.

BACKGROUND

1. Technical Field
This document relates to adornments for feet.
2. Background
Conventional shoes are hard to find for infants and often they do not stay on their feet very well anyway. However, because babies' feet are fragile as they develop, the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that babies go barefoot when they are not outside. In fact, shoes could restrict the natural development of babies' feet.

SUMMARY

Aspects of this document relate to adornments for feet. These adornments can dress up a baby's toes and feet in a way that is both stylish and appropriate for a growing baby. These aspects may comprise, and implementations may include, one or more or all of the components and steps set forth in the appended CLAIMS, which are hereby incorporated by reference.
In one aspect, an adornment for dressing up feet is disclosed. The adornment includes an ankle member configured to slip over a foot and be placed at least partially around an ankle. An extension member extends from the ankle member, the extension member including: a distal end portion; an intermediate portion; and a proximal end portion coupled to or integrally joined with the ankle member. At least one arch member is configured to slip over the foot and be placed around an arch and a top of the foot, the at least one arch member coupled to or integrally joined with and extending from one of the ankle member, the distal end portion of the extension member, the intermediate portion of the extension member, and a combination thereof.
Particular implementations may include one or more or all of the following.
The at least one arch member may include two arch members. A proximal arch member may be coupled to or integrally joined with and extending from the intermediate portion of the extension member and a distal arch member may be coupled to or integrally joined with and extending from the distal end portion of the extension member.
The ankle member may elastic and configured to stretch over a foot. The extension member may be elastic. The at least one arch member may also be elastic and configured to stretch over a foot.
The ankle member, the extension member, and the at least one arch member are: separate and distinct components; integral components formed from a single piece of material; or any combination thereof.
The adornment may further include lace, ruffles, and frays coupled to or integrally joined with the ankle member, the extension member, the at least one arch member, or a combination thereof.
The adornment may further include at least one embellishment coupled to or integrally joined with the ankle member, the extension member, the at least one arch member, or a combination thereof.
In another aspect, an adornment for dressing up feet is disclosed. The adornment includes an ankle member configured to slip over a foot and be placed at least partially around an ankle. At least one arch member is configured to slip over the foot and be placed around an arch and a top of the foot, the at least one arch member coupled to or integrally joined with and extending from the ankle member. An extension member extends from the at least one arch member, the extension member including: a distal end portion; an intermediate portion; and a proximal end portion coupled to or integrally joined with the at least one arch member.
Particular implementations may include one or more or all of the following.
The at least one arch member may include two arch members. A first arch member may be coupled to or integrally joined with and extending from the proximal end portion of the extension member and a second arch member may be coupled to or integrally joined with and extending from one of the intermediate portion of the extension member and the distal end portion of the extension member.
The first arch member and the second arch member may be: coupled to or integrally joined with each other at their bottom portions and free and separated from one another at their top portions; free and separated from one another at their bottom portions and coupled to or integrally joined with each other at their top portions; coupled to or integrally joined with each other at both their bottom portions and their top portions; or free and separated from one another at their bottom portions and free and separated from one another at their top portions.
The at least one arch member may include three arch members. A first arch member may be coupled to or integrally joined with and extending from the proximal end portion of the extension member, a second arch member may be coupled to or integrally joined with and extending from the intermediate portion of the extension member, and a third arch member may be coupled to or integrally joined with and extending from the distal end portion of the extension member.
The ankle member may be coupled to or integrally joined with the at least one arch member via: two opposing ends of the ankle member respectively coupled to or integrally joined with two opposing sides of the at least one arch member; one opposing end of the ankle member coupled to or integrally joined with one opposing side of the at least one arch member while an other opposing end of the ankle member is removably coupled with an other opposing side of the at least one arch member with a fastener; and two opposing ends of the ankle member respectively removably coupled with two opposing sides of the at least one arch member with fasteners.
The ankle member may elastic and configured to stretch over a foot. The extension member may be elastic. The at least one arch member may also be elastic and configured to stretch over a foot.
The ankle member, the extension member, and the at least one arch member are: separate and distinct components; integral components formed from a single piece of material; or any combination thereof.
The adornment may further include lace, ruffles, and frays coupled to or integrally joined with the ankle member, the extension member, the at least one arch member, or a combination thereof.
The adornment may further include at least one embellishment coupled to or integrally joined with the ankle member, the extension member, the at least one arch member, or a combination thereof.
The foregoing and other aspects and implementations of adornments for feet may have one or more or all of the following advantages, as well as other benefits discussed elsewhere in this document.
Implementations are the perfect accessories for baby girls or boys from newborn to 12 months, and can be worn on bare feet or over socks. Implementations are stylish, comfortable alternatives to shoes. Implementations can be provided in multiple styles, including those that loop around the toe and those that wrap around the foot.
The foregoing and other aspects, features, and advantages will be apparent to those of ordinary skill in the art from the DESCRIPTION and DRAWINGS, and from the CLAIMS.

DESCRIPTION

This document features adornments and accessories for feet (including the ankles, feet and/or toes) and method implementations. Foot adornment implementations allow feet to be dressed up without requiring shoes and socks and without affecting the growth and development of the feet. There are many features of foot adornment implementations disclosed herein, of which one, a plurality, or all features or steps may be used in any particular implementation.
In the following description, reference is made to the accompanying DRAWINGS which form a part hereof, and which show by way of illustration possible implementations. It is to be understood that other implementations may be utilized, and structural, as well as procedural, changes may be made without departing from the scope of this document. As a matter of convenience, various components will be described using exemplary materials, sizes, shapes, dimensions, and the like. However, this document is not limited to the stated examples and other configurations are possible and within the teachings of the present disclosure.

Structure

There are a variety of foot adornment implementations that provide for dressing up a baby's feet, including the ankles, feet and/or toes, without requiring shoes and socks and in a way that is both stylish and appropriate for a growing baby.
Notwithstanding, turning to FIGS. 1-2 and for the exemplary purposes of this disclosure, adornments 1 and 2 are shown and represent two main styles or types of foot adornment implementations.
Adornment 1 is of the style that loops around the toe. Adornment 1 generally includes an ankle member 10 that can slip over a baby's foot and be placed around the baby's ankle. The ankle member 10 may be elastic and configured to stretch over a baby's foot. This provides for adjustability and adaptability so that many sizes of ankles and feet can be accommodated.
A proximal end of extension member 12 may be coupled to or integrally joined with and extend from the ankle member 10 to a baby's toe. The extension member 12 may be elastic and configured to stretch to a baby's toe. This provides for adjustability and adaptability so that many sizes of feet can be accommodated.
Loop or ring member 14 may be coupled to or integrally joined with a distal free end of extension member 10. Loop or ring member 14 is configured to be placed over a baby's toe. The loop member 14 may be elastic and configured to stretch around a baby's toe. This provides for adjustability and adaptability so that many sizes of toes can be accommodated.
Ankle member 10, extension member 12, and loop or ring member 14 can all be separate and distinct components. Or, they can all be integral components formed from a single piece of material.
Lace 16 may be coupled to or integrally joined with any or all of the component members of adornment 1. Lace 16 could be applied to one or both edges of the component members for example, or the lace itself could include/incorporate the component members. Of course, ruffled, frayed, or any other material could be applied to one or both edges of the component members instead of lace 16.
At least one embellishment may also be coupled to or integrally joined with any component member of adornment 1 at any location. For example, as depicted, embellishment 18 may include a flower coupled to ankle member 10. Multiple embellishments could also be provided.
Adornment 2 is of the style that wraps around the foot adorning the ankle and top of a baby's foot. Adornment 2 generally includes an ankle wrapping member 20 that can slip over a baby's foot and be placed around the baby's ankle. The ankle wrapping member 20 may be elastic and configured to stretch over a baby's foot. This provides for adjustability and adaptability so that many sizes of ankles and feet can be accommodated.
An arch wrapping member 22 may be coupled to or integrally joined with and extend from the ankle member 20. Arch wrapping member 22 can slip over a baby's foot and be placed around the baby's arch. The arch member 12 may be elastic and configured to stretch over a baby's foot. This provides for adjustability and adaptability so that many sizes of arches and feet can be accommodated.
Ankle member 20 and arch member 22 can all be separate and distinct components. Or, they can all be integral components formed from a single piece of material. Together, ankle member 20 and arch member 22 can form an adornment 2 that has an overall shape of a bent 8 (eight).
Frayed material may be coupled to or integrally joined with any or all of the component members of adornment 2. Frayed material could be applied to one or both edges of the component members for example, or the frayed material itself could include/incorporate the component members. Of course, ruffled, laced, or any other material could be applied to one or both edges of the component members instead of frayed material.
At least one embellishment may also be coupled to or integrally joined with any component member of adornment 2 at any location. For example, as depicted, embellishment 24 may include a flower coupled to the transition area between ankle member 20 and arch member 22. Multiple embellishments could also be provided.

Other Implementations

Many additional implementations are possible.
For the exemplary purposes of this disclosure, although there are a variety of adornment implementations, some adornment implementations may incorporate a fastener including, but not limited to, a tie, a button, a snap, and the like fastened behind a baby's ankle to secure the accessory or adornment to a baby's foot.
Thus, for the exemplary purposes of this disclosure and with reference to FIG. 3, adornment 3 is depicted. Adornment 3 is similar to adornment 1 previously described, the principal difference being ankle member 30. Ankle member 30 includes a length with two opposing free ends. The free ends can be placed around the baby's ankle and fastened behind a baby's ankle in a tie or bow 32 (akin to tying a shoe lace). The ankle member 30 may be elastic. While not shown, at least one embellishment may also be coupled to or integrally joined with any component member of adornment 3 at any location. Multiple embellishments could also be provided.
For the exemplary purposes of this disclosure and with reference to FIG. 4, adornment 4 is depicted. Adornment 4 is similar to adornment 1 previously described, the principal difference being ankle member 40. Ankle member 40 includes a length with two opposing free ends. The free ends can be placed around the baby's ankle and fastened behind a baby's ankle with at least one snap assembly.
The at least one snap assembly can include a male member 42 and a at least one female member 44. For example, as depicted, three female members 44 may be included to accommodate different size ankles. A loop 46 may also be provided to removably secure any excess length of the free ends of ankle member 40 that contains female members 44. Of course, the snap assembly may comprise a female member and at least one male member.
Notwithstanding, the ankle member 40 may be elastic. At least one embellishment may also be coupled to or integrally joined with any component member of adornment 4 at any location. For example, as depicted, embellishment 48 may include a jewel coupled to extension member 12. Multiple embellishments could also be provided.
Although there are a variety of adornment implementations, with reference to FIGS. 5-6 and for the exemplary purposes of this disclosure, adornments 5 and 6 are depicted and are akin to “sandals”. Adornments 5 and 6 are similar to adornment 1 previously described, the principal difference being the pair of extension members 52 and 54 and the pair of extension members 62 and 64, as well as ankle members 50 and 60. Adornments 5 and 6 are very similar to each other as well, the principle difference being only the way in which the pair of extension members 52 and 54 and the pair of extension members 62 and 64 couple to toe loop 14.
Adornment 5 generally includes an ankle member 50 that can slip over a baby's foot and be placed around the baby's ankle. The ankle member 50 may be elastic and configured to stretch over a baby's foot. This provides for adjustability and adaptability so that many sizes of ankles and feet can be accommodated.
Proximal ends of extension members 52 and 54 may be coupled to or integrally joined with and extend from opposite sides of the ankle member 50 to a baby's toe to form a V-shape. The extension members 52 and 54 may be elastic and configured to stretch to a baby's toe. This provides for adjustability and adaptability so that many sizes of feet can be accommodated.
Loop or ring member 14 may be coupled to distal free ends of extension members 52 and 54.
Ankle member 50 and extension members 52 and 54 can all be separate and distinct components. Or, they can all be integral components formed from a single piece of material.
Adornment 6 generally includes an ankle member 60 that can slip over a baby's foot and be placed around the baby's ankle. The ankle member 60 may be elastic and configured to stretch over a baby's foot. This provides for adjustability and adaptability so that many sizes of ankles and feet can be accommodated.
Ends of extension members 62 and 64 may be coupled to or integrally joined with and extend from opposite sides of the ankle member 60 to a baby's toe to form a V-shape. The extension members 62 and 64 may be elastic and configured to stretch to a baby's toe. This provides for adjustability and adaptability so that many sizes of feet can be accommodated.
Extension members 62 and 64 can be integral components formed from a single piece of material. As such, extension members 62 and 64 wrap around loop or ring member 14.
Ankle member 60 and extension members 62 and 64 can all be separate and distinct components. Or, they can all be integral components formed from a single piece of material.
Although there are a variety of adornment implementations, with reference to FIG. 7 and for the exemplary purposes of this disclosure, adornment 7 is depicted and is akin to “gladiator” type shoes. Adornment 7 is similar to adornment 1 previously described, the principal difference being arch members 72 and 74.
Adornment 7 generally includes an ankle member 70 that can slip over a baby's foot and be placed around the baby's ankle. The ankle member 70 may be elastic and configured to stretch over a baby's foot. This provides for adjustability and adaptability so that many sizes of ankles and feet can be accommodated.
A proximal end of extension member 76 may be coupled to or integrally joined with and extend from the ankle member 70. As already clear from previous implementations, no loop or ring member is required for particular implementations. Accordingly, the extension member 76 may be elastic and configured to stretch. This provides for adjustability and adaptability so that many sizes of feet can be accommodated.
In this version without a loop or ring member, adornment 70 also includes at least one arch member. For example, the at least one arch member may include arch members 72 and 74 as depicted. Arch members 72 and 74 may be coupled to or integrally joined with and extend from an intermediate portion and a distal free end portion, respectively, of extension member 76. Arch members 72 and 74 can slip over a baby's foot and be placed around the baby's arch. Arch members 72 and 74 may be elastic and configured to stretch over a baby's foot. This provides for adjustability and adaptability so that many sizes of arches and feet can be accommodated.
Alternatively, and as shown specifically in FIG. 7, a proximal end of extension member 76 may be coupled to or integrally joined with and extend from the ankle member 70 to a baby's toe. The extension member 76 may be elastic and configured to stretch to a baby's toe. This provides for adjustability and adaptability so that many sizes of feet can be accommodated. Loop or ring member 78 may be coupled to or integrally joined with a distal free end of extension member 70. Loop or ring member 78 is configured to be placed over a baby's toe. The loop member 78 may be elastic and configured to stretch around a baby's toe. This provides for adjustability and adaptability so that many sizes of toes can be accommodated.
Adornment 70 also includes at least one arch member. For example, at least one arch member may include arch members 72 and 74 as depicted. Arch members 72 and 74 may be coupled to or integrally joined with and extend from an intermediate portion of extension member 76. Arch members 72 and 74 can slip over a baby's foot and be placed around the baby's arch. Arch members 72 and 74 may be elastic and configured to stretch over a baby's foot. This provides for adjustability and adaptability so that many sizes of arches and feet can be accommodated.
Ankle member 70, extension member 76, arch members 72 and 74, and, if included, loop or ring member 78 can all be separate and distinct components. Or, some or all can be integral components formed from a single piece of material.
Although there are a variety of adornment implementations, with reference to FIGS. 8-10 and for the exemplary purposes of this disclosure, adornment 8 is depicted and is akin to “gladiator” type shoes. Adornment 8 is similar to adornment 1 and 7 previously described, the principal differences being ankle member 80 and arch members 82, 84, and/or 85.
Adornment 8 generally includes an ankle member 80 that can slip over a baby's foot and/or be placed around the baby's ankle. The ankle member 80 may be elastic and configured to stretch over a baby's foot. This provides for adjustability and adaptability so that many sizes of ankles and feet can be accommodated.
Extension member 86 may be included. Extension member 86 may be elastic and configured to stretch. This provides for adjustability and adaptability so that many sizes of feet can be accommodated. Extension member 86 may be coupled to (e.g., by stitching) or integrally joined with at least one arch member. For example, the at least one arch member may include intermediate arch member 82, distal arch member 84, and proximal arch member 85 as depicted, though only one or two of these arch members could be included. For example, only arch member 85 could be included. In another version just arch members 85 and 82 could be included. In still another version just arch members 85 and 84 could be included. Whether all included or not, arch members 82, 84, and/or 85 may be coupled to (e.g., by stitching) or integrally joined with and extend from a proximal end portion, an intermediate portion, and/or a distal free end portion, respectively, of extension member 86.
Ankle member 80 is coupled to or integrally joined with at least one arch member. For example, the at least one arch member may include intermediate arch member 82, distal arch member 84, and proximal arch member 85 as depicted, though only one or two of these arch members could be included. For example, only arch member 85 could be included. In another version just arch members 85 and 82 could be included. In still another version just arch members 85 and 84 could be included.
In any of these versions, ankle member 80 is coupled to (e.g., by stitching) or integrally joined with proximal arch member 85. For example, the two opposing ends of ankle member 80 can be coupled to (e.g., by stitching) or integrally joined with two opposing sides of proximal arch member 85 such that when installed on a baby's foot, ankle member 80 is around or partially around the baby's ankle and proximal arch member 85 is around the baby's arch and the top of the baby's foot in front of the ankle. Alternatively, one of the two opposing ends of ankle member 80 can be coupled to (e.g., by stitching) or integrally joined with one opposing side of proximal arch member 85 while the other opposing end of ankle member 80 can be removably coupled with the other opposing side of proximal arch member 85 with a fastener including, but not limited to, a tie, a button, a snap, and the like. Alternatively, the two opposing ends of ankle member 80 can be removably coupled with two opposing sides of proximal arch member 85 with fasteners including, but not limited to, ties, buttons, snaps, and the like.
Arch members 82, 84, and/or 85 may be coupled to (e.g., by stitching) or integrally joined with each other at their bottom portions and slightly fan out and be free and separated from one another at their top portions. Alternatively, arch members 82, 84, and/or 85 may be free and separated from one another at their bottom portions and coupled to (e.g., by stitching) or integrally joined with each other at their top portions. Alternatively, arch members 82, 84, and/or 85 may be coupled to (e.g., by stitching) or integrally joined with each other at their bottom portions and coupled to or integrally joined with each other at their top portions. Alternatively, arch members 82, 84, and/or 85 may be free and separated from one another at their bottom portions and free and separated from one another at their top portions.
Arch members 82, 84, and 85 completely extend around a foot and can slip over a baby's foot and be placed around the baby's arch and the top of the foot. Arch members 82, 84, and 85 may be elastic and configured to stretch over a baby's foot. This provides for adjustability and adaptability so that many sizes of arches and feet can be accommodated.
Ankle member 80, extension member 86, and arch members 82, 84, and 85 can all be separate and distinct components. Or, some or all can be integral components formed from a single piece of material.
Although there are a variety of adornment implementations, for the exemplary purposes of this disclosure, other implementations include a wrapping member around a baby's ankle or around the arch of a baby's foot adorning the ankle or the top of a baby's foot, respectively, and may also include additional fabric or material extending from the wrapping member and placed and secured over a baby's toe with a loop or ring.
Although there are a variety of adornment implementations, for the exemplary purposes of this disclosure, other implementations include a minimal tension bearing coil-like member that encircles around the arch of a baby's foot to maintain an adornment or accessory around the top of the baby's foot.
Although there are a variety of adornment implementations, for the exemplary purposes of this disclosure, other implementations include a minimal tension bearing coil-like member that encircles around the arch of a baby's foot to maintain an adornment or accessory around the top of the baby's foot, and may also include an additional extension member extending from the coil-like member and placed and secured over a baby's toe with a loop or ring.
Although there are a variety of adornment implementations, for the exemplary purposes of this disclosure, other implementations include a single, minimal tension bearing coil-like member that encircles around the ankle and arch of a baby's foot to maintain an adornment or accessory around the ankle and the top of the baby's foot.
Although there are a variety of adornment implementations, for the exemplary purposes of this disclosure, particular implementations may not include any elastic elements or toe loops or rings.
Although there are a variety of adornment implementations, for the exemplary purposes of this disclosure, additional embellishments other than flowers may be used with adornment implementations. For example, such embellishments may include but not be limited to silk flowers, rhinestones, jewels, buttons, sequins, and the like. Any of these could be coupled to or integrally joined with any component member of an adornment implementation at any location. Multiple embellishments could also be provided.
Although there are a variety of adornment implementations, for the exemplary purposes of this disclosure, other materials or features besides lace and frays may be used with adornment implementations as well, such as ruffles, fringe, tassels, and the like. Any of these could be coupled to or integrally joined with any component member of an adornment implementation at any location. For example, they could be applied to edges of component members, or they could include/incorporate the component members for example.
Further implementations are within the CLAIMS.

Specifications, Materials, Manufacture, Assembly

It will be understood that implementations are not limited to the specific components disclosed herein, as virtually any components consistent with the intended operation of a wireless headset holder implementation may be utilized. Accordingly, for example, although particular components and so forth, are disclosed, such components may comprise any shape, size, style, type, model, version, class, grade, measurement, concentration, material, weight, quantity, and/or the like consistent with the intended operation of an adornment implementation. Implementations are not limited to uses of any specific components, provided that the components selected are consistent with the intended operation of an adornment implementation.
Accordingly, the components defining any adornment implementation may be formed of any of many different types of materials or combinations thereof that can readily be formed into shaped objects provided that the components selected are consistent with the intended operation of an adornment implementation. For example, the components may be formed of: fabrics, including lace, silk, cotton, Kashmir, any combination thereof, and/or other like materials; elastics and/or other like materials; rubbers (synthetic and/or natural) and/or other like materials; glasses and/or other like materials; polymers such as thermoplastics (such as ABS, Fluoropolymers, Polyacetal, Polyamide; Polycarbonate, Polyethylene, Polysulfone, and/or the like), thermosets (such as Epoxy, Phenolic Resin, Polyimide, Polyurethane, Silicone, and/or the like), any combination thereof, and/or other like materials; composites and/or other like materials; any other suitable material; and/or any combination thereof.
Various adornment implementations may be manufactured using conventional procedures known in the fabric and textile industries as added to and improved upon through the procedures described here. Some components defining adornment implementations may be manufactured simultaneously and integrally joined with one another, while other components may be purchased pre-manufactured or manufactured separately and then assembled with the integral components.
Manufacture of these components separately or simultaneously may involve cutting, gluing, sewing, dyeing, shrinking, seaming, patterning, fastening, and/or the like. If any of the components are manufactured separately, they may then be coupled with one another in any manner, such as with adhesive, stitches, fasteners, any combination thereof, and/or the like for example, depending on, among other considerations, the particular material forming the components.
It will be understood that the assembly of adornment implementations are not limited to the specific order of steps as disclosed in this document. Any steps or sequence of steps of the assembly of adornment implementations indicated herein are given as examples of possible steps or sequence of steps and not as limitations, since various assembly processes and sequences of steps may be used to assemble adornment implementations.

Use

Implementations of adornments are particularly useful for girls or boys from newborns to 12 months of age as previously explained. Implementations provide for dressing up a baby's feet, including the ankles, feet and/or toes, without requiring shoes and socks and in a way that is both stylish and appropriate for a growing baby. However, implementations are not limited to uses relating to babies. Rather, any description relating to babies is for the exemplary purposes of this disclosure, and implementations may also be used in a variety of applications with similar results, such as with other older children, and even adults under appropriate circumstances.
In places where the description above refers to particular implementations, it should be readily apparent that a number of modifications may be made without departing from the spirit thereof and that these implementations may be alternatively applied. The accompanying CLAIMS are intended to cover such modifications as would fall within the true spirit and scope of the disclosure set forth in this document. The presently disclosed implementations are, therefore, to be considered in all respects as illustrative and not restrictive, the scope of the disclosure being indicated by the appended CLAIMS rather than the foregoing DESCRIPTION. All changes that come within the meaning of and range of equivalency of the CLAIMS are intended to be embraced therein.

Claims

1. An adornment for dressing up feet comprising:

an ankle member configured to slip over a foot and be placed at least partially around an ankle;

an extension member extending from the ankle member, the extension member comprising:

a distal end portion;

an intermediate portion; and

a proximal end portion coupled to or integrally joined with the ankle member; and

at least one arch member configured to slip over the foot and be placed around an arch and a top of the foot, the at least one arch member coupled to or integrally joined with and extending from one of the ankle member, the distal end portion of the extension member, the intermediate portion of the extension member, and a combination thereof.

2. The adornment of claim 1 wherein the at least one arch member comprises two arch members.

3. The adornment of claim 2 wherein a proximal arch member is coupled to or integrally joined with and extending from the intermediate portion of the extension member and a distal arch member is coupled to or integrally joined with and extending from the distal end portion of the extension member.

4. The adornment of claim 1 wherein the ankle member is elastic and configured to stretch over a foot.

5. The adornment of claim 1 wherein the extension member is elastic.

6. The adornment of claim 1 wherein the at least one arch member is elastic and configured to stretch over a foot.

7. The adornment of claim 1 wherein the ankle member, the extension member, and the at least one arch member are one of:

separate and distinct components;

integral components formed from a single piece of material; and

any combination thereof.

8. The adornment of claim 1 further comprising one of lace, ruffles, and frays coupled to or integrally joined with one of the ankle member, the extension member, the at least one arch member, and a combination thereof.

9. The adornment of claim 1 further comprising at least one embellishment coupled to or integrally joined with one of the ankle member, the extension member, the at least one arch member, and a combination thereof.

10. An adornment for dressing up feet comprising:

at least one arch member configured to slip over the foot and be placed around an arch and a top of the foot, the at least one arch member coupled to or integrally joined with and extending from the ankle member; and

an extension member extending from the at least one arch member, the extension member comprising:

a distal end portion;

an intermediate portion; and

a proximal end portion coupled to or integrally joined with the at least one arch member.

11. The adornment of claim 10 wherein the at least one arch member comprises two arch members.

12. The adornment of claim 11 wherein a first arch member is coupled to or integrally joined with and extending from the proximal end portion of the extension member and a second arch member is coupled to or integrally joined with and extending from one of the intermediate portion of the extension member and the distal end portion of the extension member.

13. The adornment of claim 11 wherein a first arch member and a second arch member are one of:

coupled to or integrally joined with each other at their bottom portions and free and separated from one another at their top portions;

free and separated from one another at their bottom portions and coupled to or integrally joined with each other at their top portions;

coupled to or integrally joined with each other at both their bottom portions and their top portions; and

free and separated from one another at their bottom portions and free and separated from one another at their top portions.

14. The adornment of claim 10 wherein the at least one arch member comprises three arch members.

15. The adornment of claim 13 wherein a first arch member is coupled to or integrally joined with and extending from the proximal end portion of the extension member, a second arch member is coupled to or integrally joined with and extending from the intermediate portion of the extension member, and a third arch member is coupled to or integrally joined with and extending from the distal end portion of the extension member.

16. The adornment of claim 10 wherein the ankle member is coupled to or integrally joined with the at least one arch member via one of:

two opposing ends of the ankle member respectively coupled to or integrally joined with two opposing sides of the at least one arch member;

one opposing end of the ankle member coupled to or integrally joined with one opposing side of the at least one arch member while an other opposing end of the ankle member is removably coupled with an other opposing side of the at least one arch member with a fastener; and

two opposing ends of the ankle member respectively removably coupled with two opposing sides of the at least one arch member with fasteners.

17. The adornment of claim 10 wherein one of the ankle member, the extension member, the at least one arch member, and a combination thereof is elastic.

18. The adornment of claim 10 wherein the ankle member, the extension member, and the at least one arch member are one of:

separate and distinct components;

integral components formed from a single piece of material; and

any combination thereof.

19. The adornment of claim 10 further comprising one of lace, ruffles, and frays coupled to or integrally joined with one of the ankle member, the extension member, the at least one arch member, and a combination thereof.

20. The adornment of claim 10 further comprising at least one embellishment coupled to or integrally joined with one of the ankle member, the extension member, the at least one arch member, and a combination thereof.
