The fixing plate is provided with two resting pieces which are located at two opposite ends of the fixing plate respectively. The anti-reverse device further comprises a toilet bowl having a peripheral wall formed with an annular flange and having a bottom provided with a draining port. The blocking member is mounted on the draining port of the toilet bowl to block the draining port of the toilet bowl, and the two resting pieces of the fixing plate abut the flange of the toilet bowl.
  • The primary objective of the present invention is to provide an anti-reverse device to block and prevent waste water in a toilet bowl from flowing backward.
  • According to the primary advantage of the present invention, the fixing plate is fixed on the flange of the toilet bowl, and the blocking member is fixed on the draining port of the toilet bowl to lock the anti-reverse device onto toilet bowl so that the blocking member can block the draining port of the toilet bowl closely and tightly to prevent the waste water from flowing back from the draining port of the toilet bowl due to an irregular pressure condition such that the waste water is stopped and will not flow outward from the toilet bowl to prevent from incurring an environmental pollution.
  • According to another advantage of the present invention, the user only needs to rotate and adjust the adjusting sleeve so as to lock the anti-reverse device onto toilet bowl so that the anti-reverse device can be operated and positioned easily and quickly, thereby greatly facilitating the user operating the anti-reverse device.
  • Further benefits and advantages of the present invention will become apparent after a careful reading of the detailed description with appropriate reference to the accompanying drawings.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE SEVERAL VIEWS OF THE DRAWING(S)
  • FIG. 1 is a perspective view of an anti-reverse device in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention.
  • FIG. 2 is an exploded perspective view of the anti-reverse device as shown in FIG. 1.
  • FIG. 3 is a front cross-sectional view of the anti-reverse device as shown in FIG. 1.
  • FIG. 4 is a schematic operational view of the anti-reverse device for a toilet bowl as shown in FIG. 1 in use.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • Referring to the drawings and initially to FIGS. 1-3, an anti-reverse device 1 in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises a handle 11, a blocking member 12 secured on the handle 11, a fixing plate 14 mounted on the handle 11, and an adjusting sleeve 13 movably mounted on the handle 11 and abutting the fixing plate 14 to drive the fixing plate 14 to move relative to the blocking member 12 so as to adjust a distance between the fixing plate 14 and the blocking member 12.
  • The handle 11 is provided with a threaded rod 111. The threaded rod 111 of the handle 11 has a lower end 112 secured in the blocking member 12.
  • The blocking member 12 is preferably a sucker. The blocking member 12 has a top provided with a mounting stud 120 mounted on the lower end 112 of the threaded rod 111. The mounting stud 120 of the blocking member 12 has an inner wall formed with a screw bore 121 screwed onto the lower end 112 of the threaded rod 111 to lock the mounting stud 120 of the blocking member 12 onto the threaded rod 111 of the handle 11.
  • The adjusting sleeve 13 has a substantially hexagonal cross-sectional profile. The adjusting sleeve 13 is disposed between the fixing plate 14 and the blocking member 12 and has an inner wall formed with an inner threaded portion 131 screwed onto the threaded rod 111 of the handle 11. Thus, the adjusting sleeve 13 is movable on the handle 11 by rotation of the adjusting sleeve 13 relative to the threaded rod 111 of the handle 11. The adjusting sleeve 13 has a top 130 abutting the fixing plate 14.
  • The fixing plate 14 has a substantially inverted U-shaped profile. The fixing plate 14 is movable on the handle 11 by pushing of the adjusting sleeve 13. The fixing plate 14 has a middle portion formed with a through hole 140 mounted on the threaded rod 111 of the handle 11. The fixing plate 14 is provided with two resting pieces 141 which are located at two opposite ends of the fixing plate 14 respectively.
  • In operation, referring to FIG. 4 with reference to FIGS. 1-3, the anti-reverse device 1 is mounted on a toilet bowl 2. The toilet bowl 2 has a peripheral wall formed with an annular flange 21 and has a bottom provided with a draining port 22. When the anti-reverse device 1 is mounted on the toilet bowl 2, the blocking member 12 is mounted on the draining port 22 of the toilet bowl 2 to block the draining port 22 of the toilet bowl 2, and the two resting pieces 141 of the fixing plate 14 abut the flange 21 of the toilet bowl 2. Then, the adjusting sleeve 13 is rotated relative to the threaded rod 111 of the handle 11 so that the adjusting sleeve 13 is moved on the handle 11 until the top 130 of the adjusting sleeve 13 abuts the fixing plate 14. At this time, the fixing plate 14 is pressed toward the flange 21 of the toilet bowl 2 by pushing of the adjusting sleeve 13 so that the fixing plate 14 is fixed on the flange 21 of the toilet bowl 2. In such a manner, the adjusting sleeve 13 is moved on the handle 11 by rotation of the adjusting sleeve 13 relative to the threaded rod 111 of the handle 11 to press the fixing plate 14 so that the fixing plate 14 is fixed on the flange 21 of the toilet bowl 2, and the blocking member 12 is fixed on the draining port 22 of the toilet bowl 2 so as to lock the anti-reverse device 1 onto toilet bowl 2 closely and tightly. Thus, the blocking member 12 can block the draining port 22 of the toilet bowl 2 to prevent waste water in the toilet bowl 2 from flowing backward from the draining port 22 of the toilet bowl 2 due to an irregular pressure condition so as to prevent the waste water from overflowing outward from the toilet bowl 2 and to prevent from incurring an environmental pollution.
  • Accordingly, the fixing plate 14 is fixed on the flange 21 of the toilet bowl 2, and the blocking member 12 is fixed on the draining port 22 of the toilet bowl 2 to lock the anti-reverse device 1 onto toilet bowl 2 so that the blocking member 12 can block the draining port 22 of the toilet bowl 2 closely and tightly to prevent the waste water from flowing back from the draining port 22 of the toilet bowl 2 due to an irregular pressure condition such that the waste water is stopped and will not flow outward from the toilet bowl 2 to prevent from incurring an environmental pollution. In addition, the user only needs to rotate and adjust the adjusting sleeve 13 so as to lock the anti-reverse device 1 onto toilet bowl 2 so that the anti-reverse device 1 can be operated and positioned easily and quickly, thereby greatly facilitating the user operating the anti-reverse device 1.
  • Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment(s) as mentioned above, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the scope of the present invention. It is, therefore, contemplated that the appended claim or claims will cover such modifications and variations that fall within the true scope of the invention.
