Description
- Many different medications are stored in bathroom cabinets. There is a real need for this invention to improve medicine cabinets, and store medications in a safe and compact “space-saving” device.
- The present invention relates generally to the placement of medicine bottles, and more particularly to the presentation of medicine bottles within containment devices. Medicine bottles holding relatively personal usage of medication have been placed within many containers. Some of these containers are; home medicine cabinets, drawers, and even shoe boxes. The desire for using these containers relies mostly on access to the medicine bottles and their safe storage. This invention relies on a simple device for placing, storing, and organizing medicine bottles safely, and with good access for the user.
- The present invention allows individual medicine bottles to be placed within a container with such container allowing good access, safe storage, and the movement of individual such containers while safely storing individual medicine bottles.
- The inventor has recognized a need for a convenient, compact, and space-saving device to safely store, move, and present individual medicine bottles. The invention allows easy access to individual medicine bottles, provides good presentation of the medicine bottles, and the safe storage and movement of individual medicine bottles carried within the present invention.
- In the preferred embodiment of the present invention, a container is disclosed. The container is defined by an interior chamber, which is formed by an exterior wall structure. The interior chamber acts as a compartment where individual medicine bottles are placed. The exterior is defined as having six walls with one or more walls removable for access to the interior chamber. The interior is sized and shaped to accommodate individual medicine bottles and other items common to personal hygiene.
- The present invention shown in its preferred embodiment consists of a flat wall construction, however a cylindrical, elliptical or variations of these can be configured to accomplish similar conditions for placing, storing, moving, and removing individual medicine bottles.
- The present invention comprises a container and a removable cover, for securing individual medicine bottles while in transport. The invention in its most preferred mode is shown. However, other shapes and sizes are possible with regard to presenting, storing, moving, and removing individual medicine bottles as discussed within this document.
- One other mode of the invention has the container separated in half, and hinged such that it can close together therefore not requiring a separate detachable piece for the cover.

FIG. 2 , theLid 10 is a five-sided container used as a cover. TheBase 20 is a five-sided container used as the storage area. The Shelf 30 is a surface with an upwardly facing front edge for resting medication containers. The Bottle 40 is a typical medicine bottle (not part of the invention) resting on the Shelf 30. -
FIG. 3 shows a section view of the same embodiment at the mid-plane of the article. In this view, the profile of the Shelf 30 can be seen more clearly. When in the closed configuration, theLid 10 is placed-over theBase 20. Note First Seal 50, located on the Base, and Second Seal 55, located within the Lid. In the closed position, these seals form a barrier against contamination or damage from moisture, and serve to keep the Lid in place.
