  • FIELD OF THE INVENTION
  • This invention relates to a decorative charm, which would be attached to a person's pants or belt.
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • Various types of clothing accentuating articles have been patented. Those inventions generally address adornments for clothing worn on the upper torso portion of the body, i.e. shirts, blouses, jackets etc. Some patents also exist for the accentuation of footwear. An area where clothing ornamentation has seemingly been ignored is that of garments worn on the lower torso of the body, generally pants. The only other patent in existence addressing the lower torso area is U.S. Pat. No. 6,253,385.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The primary purpose of the present invention is to accessorize or ornament the previously ignored area as stated above, a garment usually worn on the lower torso of the body, such as pants, skirt or any other garment. The decorative charm accessory for pants generally comprises an attaching device, a connecting device and a lower portion. The decorative charm accessory for pants is preferably placed about, but not limited to, the fly area of pants, wherein the attaching device attaches onto the button or buttonhole area, the connecting device which may be comprised of a chain, ribbon, cord or any other material deemed appropriate, fashionable or functional, which extends to generally the lower area of the fly or any length thereof and dangles a charm of any size, type, material, weight or design, all encompassing.
  • The attaching device is preferably a hook of some sort of variable shape or material, which will attach to the button of the garment or possibly a clamp, which attaches to the buttonhole or tab of the top portion of the fly area. The connecting device is preferably comprised of, but is not restricted to, a chain, ribbon or cord, attached to the hook or clamp at the attaching device, extends vertically, and is connected to a dangling charm at the lower portion. Such said charm may be of any size, type, material, weight or design, all encompassing.
  • DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • FIG. 1 is a schematic view of the front portion of a pair of pants, with the present invention attached.
  • FIG. 2 is a schematic view of the decorative charm accessory for pants.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • Referring to FIG. 1, a decorative charm accessory for pants of the present invention is essentially comprised of an attaching device 1, lower portion 3, and a connecting device 2 that connects the attaching device 1 to lower portion 3. The decorative charm accessory for pants is shown as preferably used on a type of pants, not restricted to any other garment worn on the lower torso or any other use i.e. belt, belt loop, pocket, zipper, which may or may not be attached to a garment.
  • The preferred embodiment of the decorative charm accessory for pants as depicted in FIG. 2 is preferably metal in portions 1 and 2 and is comprised of an attaching device to attach the invention to the button of pants, a connecting device preferably a chain, and a charm preferably two-sided which may contain metal, glass etc.
  • Portions 1, 2 and 3 may be integral, homogenous or separate. As shown in FIG. 2, the decorative charm accessory for pants is preferably comprised of an attaching device 1, which may be some type of hook, or loop that attaches to the general area of the button. It may also be a clamping device or anything else deemed appropriate or functional to attach the present invention to the garment or any other item it may be used on. It may be of any shape or design and may be fabricated of any material deemed appropriate, functional or fashionable.
  • As shown in FIG. 2, the connecting device 2 is anything that provides the functional connection between the attaching device 1 and lower portion 3 which helps to maintain a distance so as to allow the lower portion 3 to dangle freely thus serving the purpose of drawing attention to the area it is located on. It may be fabricated from any material.
  • The present invention may be embodied in other specific forms without departing from the essential attributes thereof; therefore, the illustrated embodiments should be considered in all respects as illustrative and not restricting the technical scope of the present invention. It should be noted that any summary change or replacement based on the art of the present invention or any equivalent application shall fall within the technical scope of the present invention. The present invention does not limit its use on a button, buttonhole or tab of pants, skirt, etc., or to garments worn on the lower torso, reference being made to the appended claims rather than to the foregoing description to indicate the scope of the invention and the general use thereof.
