1. In a train order delivery' apparatus, the combination with a support, of a pivoted post thereon provided with a holder, and a spring latch device engageable with the postto hold the same in upright position, reversible in either direction.

The combination stated in claim 1, said device including a stud, and a spring coiled around the same, the spring having a pair of opposite points at the top and a single point at the bottom having a slip engagement with the stud, whereby the spring may turn on the stud when the post is swung down in either direction.
4. The combination stated in claim 1, said latch device including a stud and a spring coiled around the stud and having a slip engagement therewith, and a nut on the stud to confine the spring, said nut having a pro jection to set the end of the spring.
5. In a train order delivery apparatu's,t-he u combination with a support and a pivoted post thereon provided with a holder, and adapted toswing from vertical to horizontal position, of a bumper against which the post .atrikes When swungdown, a hinged cover plate adapted to swing down over the post when it-strikes the bumper, and a trip device actuated by the post and connected with the cover to close the latter. 7
6. The combination stated in claim 5, said trip device comprising a lever and link connection to the cover, the lever being located adjacent the bumper.

9. The combination stated in claim 1, and a signal light and circuit controlledby the movement of the post, the signal light also having means to illuminate the holder when the post is in upright-position.

In a train order delivery apparatus the combination with a support, of a post pivoted at the bottom thereon to swing down in either direction, said post having apair of holders at the top, a box on each side of the post, into either of which the post may swing down, a cover for each box, and means actuated by the post when it swings down to close the cover of the box into which the post swings.
