To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, STANLEY C. BIAS, a citizen of the United States, residing at Harrisburg, in the county of Dauphin and State of Pennsylvania, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Toys, of which the following is a specification.

This invention relates to an improvement in toys.

It consists in a tube having a movable object attached at one end, and a confection at the other end.

In the accompanying drawings Fig. 1 is a view of the toy in one form it may take, showing a deflated balloon at one end, and a lollypop at the other end;

Fig. 2 is a similar View showing the balloon inflated.

In the toy shown in Figs. 1 and 2, the numeral 1 represents a tube preferably a bamboo stick with an inflatable device 2, such as a rubber balloon, at one end, and a confection, such as a lollypop, 8, at the other end. The tube 1 is constructed and adapted to give a sound, somewhat like a flute or whis- 'tle, when the child places the end with the confection or lollypop in his mouth, and blows through to inflate the balloon, or when the balloon is deflated; and for this purpose a flap-valve 1 may be placed on the inside end of the tube 1. Thus it will be seen there is a combination of three distinct things in one, namely the balloon, the flute or Whistle, and the confection, responding simultaneously to the three senses of seeing, hearing 5 and tasting.

Obviously other forms of moving objects, either inflatable and deflatable, or otherwise, might be attached to one end of the tube, and such objects might be made of other 40 material, as well as rubber. The main object is to provide some object moved by the passage of air through the tube, whether it be a balloon, other inflatable object, or some object moved by the passage of the air.

Other slight modifications would come within the general idea I have in view in the foregoing presentation of my invention, without departing from its spirit and scope.

I claim: a

A toy including a tube having a device at one end for creating a sound, an inflatable device enclosing the latter and a masticable device secured to the opposite end of the tube adapted to be held in the mouth while blow- 55 ing through the tube to expand the inflatable device.
