LIQUID POLISH.

To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, AnsnNio Fnnnnr. MEN- nnz, a citizen of the Republic of Cuba, and resident, at Camajuani, Province of Santa ilara, Cuba, whose post-oilice address is Agricultura and Marti streets, Camajuani, Province of Santat lara, Cuba, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Liquid Polish, of which the following is a specification.

This invention relates to an article of manufacture and its object is to provide as a new article of manufacture a liquid for polishing and burnishing surfaces of furniture,

'15 carriages and all kind of goods made of wood or metal and painted in dull shades.

- The article is substantially composed of alcohol, gum-lac, linseed. oil, banana spirit and camphor in various proportions.

The manufacture of the article is effected by merely mixing up in proper receptacles the linseed oil and banana spirit and adding thereafter the gum-lac and camphor previously dissolved in alcohol.

As an example of the most convenient proportion for mixing up these ingredients, the following is given: linseed oil 4L7 liters, banana spirit (banana juice fermented and distilled) 3 liters.

30 Dissolving then in fifty liters of alcohol 16 pounds of gum-lac and three liters of camphor and adding this solution to the two ingredients above mentioned.

In case the liquid is to be applied to very porous surfaces, to the above ingredients can be added, in order to iill the pores thereof, a solution in alcohol of sandaracresin together with ten pounds of gum-lac a d tiree pounds of camphor (measured by dry measure), tie sandarac-resin in the proportion of three pounds, and adding four pounds of powdered pumice-stone to the solution. instead of the linseed oil any other drying oil can be used. The product obtained in either case is a liquid of amber color and is applied with a cloth Wet in said liquid to the surface to be polished and burnished, rubbing it then with a dry puff of cotton or flannel or wool, or by any other similarmetliod to that end.

Having thus described my invention and the manner in which same is carried out, what I claim is:

1. As a new article of manufacture a liquid comprising a drying oil, alcohol, banana spirit, oamphor and gum-lac.

2. As a new article of manufacture a My uid comprising linseed oil, banana spirit, alcohol, gum-lac and camphor.

3. As a new article of manufacture a liquid composed of linseed oil, alcohol, banana spirit, gum-lac, camphor, sandarac-resin and powdered pumice-stone.
