Be-itknown that I, PERO? A,.MARTIN,
for combining a monkey wrench and a Still;
son wrench, and the primary object* of the invention isto provide aldevice of this class which shall be simple, Vcheap and efficient.` l/Vith the above and other "objects in view,
Vthe improvement residesin the construction, combination and 'arrangementofparts set forth in the following specification and falling within thescope oftheappended claim. l 7 Y In the drawing: Figurel is a view of a wrench constructed in accordance. with the present invention, and Fig-2 lis a perspective-view of the frame or, carriage.
Referring now to the drawing in detail, the numeral 1 designates the'wrench in its entirety. The wrench includes a shank 2 which has its opposite edges provided with threads 3 and 4 respectively. YThe shank 2 is further provided at one of its ends with laterally extending jawsv 5 and V6 respec-` tively, the jaw 5 having `an inner'smooth workingv face, while the jaw 6 is provided Y or head 8 that is adapted to co-actpwiththe with a toothed working face.
The movable member or carriage is indicated by the numeral 7 'The carriage has one of A,its corners formed to provide a j aw jaw 5. The carriage comprises a frame con-y structed to provide rectangular arms Sal-8aar n extendingfrom and in a line with the active face or sides of the head or jaw 8. vThe head, from the inactive face thereof, is
formed with a flat angular extension' 8b. Formed with and extending angularly from the flange 8b, in a line parallel to the plane of the arms 8a are rectangular members or n arms t3c which are of a greater length than the arms 8a and which are connected by ya transverse member 13. The -arms 8a and 8c are connectedby integral members 8d,- and thel arms 8c, at their juncture with the mem-` bers Stare connected by a transverse member or plate 8e.
