Having thus described my invention, '1 claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent:

1. A device for shipping fragile articles,

' the same including an open-ended tubular body, separate transverse partitions fitting yvith-in' said tubular body and spaced to ac- ;commodate the article, said partitions being formed with resilient cushioning members for the ends of the contained article and with edge flanges projecting at the inner. faces thereof, and retaining tongues of triangular form stamped from the interior of said tubular body and integral along one edge of the body for the tongues to be flexed inwardly to positions at the backs of the partitions to prevent displacement of the partitions toward the ends of the body, said triangular tongues being joined to the body on lines oblique to the planes of the respective partitions, and so located that the apexesof the move in arcuate paths transecting the planes of the partitions to effect a bearing of said apexes against said partitions and prevent. accidental slipping of the tongues laterally out of engagement with the partitions.

2. A shipping device of the class described, including a tubular body, tongues integral with the body, and partitions separate from the body'and adapted to be disposed transversely therein, said tongues joining the material of the body on lines oblique to the planes of the partitions and being-bendable OVGI the backs of the partitions.

3. A shipping. device of the class described, including a tubular body, tongues integral with the body, and partitions separate from the body and adapted to be disposed transversely therein, said tongues joining the material of the body on lines oblique ,to the planes of the partitions and being bendable over the backs of the partitions, said partitions being spaced to accommodate the article to be held, provided with central openings and with resilient members dis posed around said openings to engage the held article.
