Abstract

A method of air inertial-gravitational separation of granular materials, in accordance with which the particle flux is supplied at identical rate in horizontal direction in such a way that under the action of the forces of gravity the trajectory of flow is curve. Particle flux is blown through from a specific distance by cascade of flat air jets of equal pressure, identical width, which are directed at a right angle to tangent to the curved trajectory of motion at the point of intersection. Separation into fractions is performed in the plane, which is located nearer to the vertical line. A separator for realization of method includes a bunker (1) and a belt conveyor (3) installed under it or gravitational descent for supplying granular material to a separation chamber (4). The nozzles for supply of air (6) are installed from below the flow at an angle and have identical width and are located evenly along the curved trajectory of particle motion at identical distance from it. The separator into fractions (7) is installed in the rear end of separation chamber (5) in the plane, which is oriented nearer to the vertical line. The invention provides high output of the separation process with high quality and multifractional division of granular materials.
