Винахід стосується одержання пористого ксерогелю SiO2 за допомогою золь-гель-процесу із субкритичним сушінням гелю з використанням формованих in situ тимчасових органічних твердих скелетних опор, які наприкінці процесу одержання видаляють шляхом термічного окиснення.
