Abstract

This invention provides a cockroach-proof floor drain cover comprising a main body and a plurality of snap-fit structures. The snap-fit structures are disposed on the bottom surface of the main body. With the aforementioned devices, the main body's bottom surface rests against the top surface of a drainage floor drain, allowing the cockroach-proof floor drain cover to cover and secure the drain, preventing cockroaches from escaping through the drain from the drain pipe.

Description

Anti-cockroach floor drain cover

This project is about the structure of a floor drain cover, specifically a cockroach-proof floor drain cover that effectively eliminates pests such as cockroaches from floor drainage.

Every household has a drain hole in their kitchen or bathroom floor, with a floor drain (also known as a drain cover) installed at the water inlet. However, if the drain remains damp for extended periods, it can easily become clogged with dirt, breeding pests such as cockroaches and insects. These pests then emerge from the drain at night or in the middle of the night to forage, laying eggs that can contaminate the environment and tableware, posing a potential risk of infectious diseases.

To prevent infestations, some people use cockroach traps to lure them in and feed them insecticide, or spray them before bed at night to prevent the pests from escaping and causing harm. However, using a cockroach trap to feed the insects only works passively, waiting for the pests to eat. Spraying the insecticide requires daily application, causing considerable inconvenience to the user and failing to effectively prevent the pests from entering or leaving.

In addition, there are two types of drain hole covers: dense mesh type and finger-sealed type. The former is easy to clog and cannot prevent insects, and the latter is inconvenient to operate. Therefore, how to solve the shortcomings of the above structures is a problem to be solved.

The purpose of this invention is to solve the above problem and prevent cockroaches and other pests from coming out of the drainage drain at night or in the middle of the night to move around or forage.

This invention provides a cockroach-proof floor drain cover comprising a main body and a plurality of snap-fit structures. The snap-fit structures are disposed on a bottom surface of the main body. With the aforementioned device, the main body's bottom surface rests against the top surface of a drainage floor drain, allowing the cockroach-proof floor drain cover to cover and secure the drain, thereby preventing cockroaches from escaping through the drain pipe.

In one embodiment, further, the drainage floor drain has a plurality of drainage holes, the drainage hole has an outer contour, the locking structure has a structural shape, and the outer contour and the structural shape are embedded in each other.

Furthermore, the plurality of engaging structures have a first arrangement, and the plurality of drainage holes have a second arrangement, and the first arrangement is the same as the second arrangement.

In one embodiment, further, the body is in a sheet shape and has an outer shape corresponding to the outer shape of the drainage floor drain.

In one embodiment, further, the cockroach-proof floor drain cover is made of plastic material.

In one embodiment, further, when the anti-cockroach floor drain cover is covered on the drainage floor drain, the side surface is spaced apart from the top surface of the drainage floor drain by a distance ranging from 0 mm to 2.5 mm.

In one embodiment, further, the periphery of the locking structure has rounded corners, and the anti-cockroach floor drain cover covering the drainage floor drain can be removed by pressing against the top of the main body and moving toward the outer edge of the main body.

Compared with existing technologies, the advantages of this invention are:

1. Installing this anti-cockroach floor drain cover can effectively increase the sealing effect of the drainage floor drain, improve the ability to prevent odor, cockroaches, and viruses, and at the same time, it is more intuitive and convenient to use than traditional methods.

2. The locking structure is used for closing, and the periphery of the locking structure has rounded corners. The anti-cockroach floor drain cover covering the drainage floor drain can be removed by pressing against the main body and moving toward the outer periphery of the main body.

Please refer to Figures 1 to 4. The present invention provides a cockroach-proof floor drain cover 1 that can cover a drainage floor drain 9. The cockroach-proof floor drain cover 1 includes: a body 11 and a plurality of snap-fit structures 12.

The main body 11 is in the shape of a thin sheet and has an outer shape corresponding to the outer shape of the drainage floor drain 9 .

A plurality of the engaging structures 12 are disposed on a bottom surface 111 of the main body 11. In this preferred embodiment, the main body 11 and the engaging structures 12 are integrally formed, but the present invention is not limited thereto.

In addition, the drainage floor drain 9 has a plurality of drainage holes 91, the drainage hole 91 has an outer contour, and the locking structure 12 has a structural shape, and the outer contour and the structural shape are embedded in each other.

To further illustrate, a plurality of the locking structures 12 are arranged on the bottom surface 111 to form a first arrangement 81 , and a plurality of the drainage holes 91 are arranged on the drainage floor drain 9 to form a second arrangement 82 , and the first arrangement 81 is the same as the second arrangement 82 .

Therefore, the bottom surface 111 of the main body 11 is abutted against the top surface of a drainage floor drain 9, and the plurality of the locking structures 12 and the plurality of the drainage holes 91 are arranged in the same manner as a mirror image and can be embedded in each other, so that the anti-cockroach floor drain cover 1 is covered and fixed on the drainage floor drain 9.

It should be noted that, since the cockroach-proof floor drain cover 1 may be stained with water, scraped and collided with hard objects during use, in this embodiment, the cockroach-proof floor drain cover 1 is made of plastic material, but the present invention is not limited thereto.

In addition, the periphery of the locking structure 12 has rounded corners, and the anti-cockroach floor drain cover 1 covering the drainage floor drain 9 can be removed by pressing against the top surface of the main body 11 and moving toward the outer periphery of the main body 11.

In particular, according to experimental results regarding cockroaches and gaps, a gap height of less than 2.5 mm is required to prevent cockroaches from entering or exiting the gap. Therefore, in the preferred embodiment, when the anti-cockroach floor drain cover is placed over the drainage floor drain, a distance H is maintained between the side surface and the top surface of the drainage floor drain. This distance is between 0 mm and 2.5 mm to prevent cockroaches from entering or exiting the gap.

Please refer to FIG. 5 . In addition, the present invention also provides another preferred embodiment. The locking structure 12 further has a plurality of protrusions 121 , and the bottom surface 111 has a plurality of grooves 112 . The locking structure 12 is fixed to the bottom surface 111 by the mutual engagement of the protrusions 121 and the grooves 112 .

In summary, the advantages of this invention are: 1. By installing the anti-cockroach floor drain cover, the sealing effect of the drainage floor drain can be effectively increased, and the ability to prevent odor, cockroaches, and viruses can be improved. At the same time, compared with the traditional method, it is more intuitive and convenient to use.

2. The locking structure is used for closing, and the periphery of the locking structure has rounded corners. The anti-cockroach floor drain cover covering the drainage floor drain can be removed by pressing against the main body and moving toward the outer periphery of the main body.

Claims (9)

A cockroach-proof floor drain cover comprises: a main body; and a plurality of engaging structures disposed on a bottom surface of the main body. The bottom surface of the main body is abutted against the top surface of a drainage floor drain, so that the cockroach-proof floor drain cover covers and is fixed to the drainage floor drain. As described in claim 1, the anti-cockroach floor drain cover has a plurality of drainage holes, each of the drainage holes has an outer contour, each of the locking structures has a structural shape, and the outer contour and the structural shape are embedded in each other. As described in claim 2, the cockroach-proof floor drain cover, wherein the plurality of the locking structures have a first arrangement, and the plurality of the drainage holes have a second arrangement, and the first arrangement is the same as the second arrangement. As described in claim 1, the anti-cockroach floor drain cover, wherein the main body is in the form of a thin sheet and has an outer shape, which corresponds to the outer shape of the drainage floor drain. The cockroach-proof floor drain cover as described in claim 1, wherein the cockroach-proof floor drain cover is made of plastic material. As described in claim 1, the anti-cockroach floor drain cover, wherein when the anti-cockroach floor drain cover is covered on the drainage floor drain, the bottom surface and the top surface of the drainage floor drain are separated by a distance between 0 mm and 2.5 mm. As described in claim 1, the anti-cockroach floor drain cover has a rounded corner around the locking structure, and the anti-cockroach floor drain cover covering the drainage floor drain can be removed by pressing against the top of the main body and moving toward the outer edge of the main body. As described in claim 1, the anti-cockroach floor drain cover, wherein the main body and the locking structure are integrally formed. As described in claim 1, the anti-cockroach floor drain cover, wherein the locking structure further has a plurality of protrusions, and the bottom surface has a plurality of grooves, and the locking structure is fixed to the bottom surface by the mutual engagement of the protrusions and the grooves.
