Abstract

A plastic hinge shaft includes a body, which is made of plastic material and is a solid cylinder. This creation is related to a plastic hinge, in particular a plastic hinge with anti-deformation properties.

According to the information, the cosmetic box commonly used has a plastic cover and a base. The cover and the base are respectively provided with hinge holes and are connected by a metal pin. Usually, consumers directly hand over the entire cosmetic box for recycling after use. In view of this, the applicant has developed a plastic nail pivotally mounted on the cover and base of a cosmetic box and its application to address the above shortcomings. The above metal nail is replaced with a nail made of plastic. Since the nail, the cover and the base are all made of plastic, they can be recycled together to solve the recycling problem.

However, the volume of plastic pins is easily increased or decreased due to temperature changes. When the temperature is high, the volume of the pins expands, and the hinge holes that penetrate the cover and the base are enlarged by the pins. When the temperature returns to normal, the volume of the pins returns to its original state, but the hinge holes have been enlarged and shaped, so there will be a gap between the pins and the hinge holes, and they cannot generate effective friction with the cover, resulting in the cover being unable to maintain any specific angle when opened, causing inconvenience in use.

Therefore, based on the applicant's many years of experience in manufacturing, developing and designing related products, the applicant has designed and carefully evaluated the above-mentioned goals and finally obtained a practical creation.

This invention discloses a plastic hinge, which includes a body, which is made of plastic and is a solid cylinder. The body is provided with a groove, wherein the depth of the groove extends from the outer periphery of the body to the center of the body, so that the groove is formed with a bottom and a top that are arranged oppositely, and the width of the groove gradually expands from the bottom toward the two sides of the groove toward the top, and the bottom of the groove is U-shaped.

Through the above structure, the advantages of this creation are as follows:

1. The body diameter is not affected by thermal expansion and contraction: The body of this invention is provided with a split groove, which can provide a margin space for the body when it is heated and contracted, so its diameter will hardly be affected by thermal expansion and contraction and can also improve the compression performance of the body.

A body 10, which is made of plastic material and is a solid cylinder. In the present invention, the diameter of the body 10 is between 1.4 mm and 3.5 mm. The body 10 is provided with a cutout 11 and is made by injection molding. The depth of the cutout 11 extends from the outer periphery of the body 10 to the center of the body 10, so that the cutout 11 is formed with a bottom 111 and a top 112 disposed opposite to each other, and the width of the cutout 11 gradually expands from the bottom 111 toward the two sides of the cutout 11 to the top 112, and the bottom 111 of the cutout 11 is U-shaped.

In the present invention embodiment, the cosmetic box 20 has a cover 21 and a base 22, and the cover 21 has a hinge portion 211 extending downwardly on one side of the periphery, and the hinge portion 211 is respectively provided with two axial ends. An axial hole 212, the base 22 can be matched with the cover 21, a notch 221 is formed on the periphery of the base 22 corresponding to the pivot portion 211, and a through hole 222 is respectively formed on both sides of the notch 221 and corresponding to each of the axial holes 212, each of the through holes 222 is connected to each of the axial holes 212, each of the main bodies 10 is penetrated in each of the through holes 222 and each of the axial holes 212, so that the cover 21 is pivoted on the base 22.

Since each body 10 is made of plastic material and its diameter is slightly larger than the diameter of each through hole 222 and each shaft hole 212, after each body 10 is inserted into each through hole 222 and each shaft hole 212, a certain friction force can be generated between the cover 21 and the surface of each body 10 when it is opened, so that the cover 21 can be maintained at any angle when opened without falling toward the base 22, thereby improving the convenience of use.

In addition, the arrangement of the slot 11 can not only improve the compression performance of the body 10, making it easier for the body 10 to be inserted into the through hole 222 and the axial hole 212, but more importantly, it can provide a margin space for the body 10 to expand and contract due to heat expansion and contraction, and can prevent the body 10 from changing in volume due to heat expansion and contraction due to different temperatures. Therefore, when the lid 21 and the base 22 are assembled, the nailing machine can be used to push each main body 10 into each through hole 222 and each shaft hole 2 12, to complete the assembly, there is no need to develop another new nailing machine to reduce the cost of purchasing the machine, and because the size of the main body 10 is relatively small, it can be directly applied to the hinge hole of the cover and the base of the known cosmetic box, without affecting the aesthetics of the joint, so the plastic hinge of this invention has a wide range of applicability. In addition, because the main body 10 and the cover 21 and the base 22 of the cosmetic box 20 are all made of plastic materials, the whole can be recycled together when discarded, solving the problem of difficult recycling.

In summary, this invention has excellent advancement and practicality among similar products. At the same time, after searching domestic and foreign technical data on this type of structure, no similar structure has been found in the literature. Therefore, this invention has the requirements for a new patent, and an application is filed in accordance with the law.

A plastic hinge as described in claim 4, wherein the first width is 0.3 mm. A plastic hinge as described in claim 4, wherein the second width is 0.38 mm.
