Description
本發明係關於一種抗污組合物,該抗污組合物於水生環境之用途,一種抑制水生環境之污著之方法,及一種經塗佈該抗污組合物之基板。
諸如船殼、浮標、鑽探平台、乾船塢設備、產油鑽機、水產業設備及浸於水中之網件及管道之人造結構易於受水生生物(諸如綠藻及褐藻、藤壺、蛤貝等等)污著。此等結構通常係金屬製品,亦可包括其他結構性材料,諸如混凝土。此種污著係船殼的困擾,因為其增加在水中運行期間的摩擦阻力,結果係降低速度及增加燃料成本。此為靜置結構(諸如鑽探平台支架、油氣生產鑽機、精煉及存儲鑽機)之困擾,首先係因為厚厚的污著層對波流之阻力可在結構中導致不可預測及潛在危險應力,且再者,因為污著使得難以檢查結構缺陷,諸如應力斷裂及腐蝕。此為諸如冷卻水入口及出口之管道之困擾,因為有效截面積因污著而降低,結果降低流率。
商業化最成功的抑制污著的方法涉及使用含對水生生物具毒性之物質(例如氯化三丁錫或氧化亞銅)之防污塗料。然而,因為此等毒素若釋放至水生環境中可具有的破壞性影響,故此等塗料越來越不歡迎。因此,需要不會大量釋放有毒物質材料之不污著塗料。
多年來,據瞭解(例如,如GB 1,307,001以及US
3,702,778所揭示的),聚矽氧橡膠塗料可阻止水生生物污著。據信,此等塗料提供生物不易附著之表面,且因此可稱其為污著鬆脫塗料或抗污塗料,而非防污塗料。聚矽氧橡膠及聚矽氧類化合物毒性通常極低。當應用至船殼時,此類防污系統之不利之處在於,雖然海洋生物之累積有所減少,但有對移除所有污著物種之相對高船速之需求。因此,在一些實例中,已顯示,有必要以至少14海里之速度航行,以有效自經此一聚合物處理之外殼鬆脫。為此,聚矽氧橡膠在商業上的成功有限,且需改良此等環境良性塗料之防污及污著鬆脫特性。
WO 02/074870描述一種具有低表面能量及合適彈性特性之替代性抗污組合物。此種防污組合物包括不含全氟聚醚部份之固化聚合物或交聯聚合物,及含氟化烷基或烷氧基之聚合物或寡聚物。已發現,此種抗污組合物由於減少污著生物集居及降低其黏接強度而優於其他已知抗污組合物。
現已發現,一種如下抗污組合物具有優異抗污特性,該組合物包含彈性體及含固醇(類)及/或固醇衍生物之組分,其中該組分係選自經醯化的羊毛脂、經烷氧基化的羊毛脂、羊毛脂油,或包含至少20重量%之一或多種固醇、至少20重量%之一或多種C1-C12固醇酯或至少20重量%之經烷氧基化的固醇(類)之組合物,其中重量%係固醇或固醇衍生物對該組分總重之百分比。
已發現,本發明組合物具有優於WO 02/074870中之組合
物之抗污特性。
抗污特性可藉由測量附著生物集居之量及其黏接強度比較。
未經改質之羊毛脂係天然產物一實例,其包含一或多種固醇,及固醇衍生物,但並非本發明抗污組合物之組分。原因在於其未經醯基化、經烷氧基化或為油脂,且其並不包含超過20重量%之固醇(類)、超過20重量%之固醇(類)C1-C12固醇酯,或超過20重量%之經烷氧基化的固醇(類)(基於未經改質之羊毛脂之總重)。市售羊毛脂通常包含約97重量%之長鏈脂肪酯。該等酯多數(>90%)具有超過12個碳原子之脂肪族尾部。已發現,羊毛脂中固醇含量係在未經改質之羊毛脂中存在至多為約5重量%。未經改質之羊毛脂甚至包含更少經烷氧基化的固醇(類)。
本發明人已發現一種包含業已經醯化、烷氧基化改質之羊毛脂或羊毛脂油(有時稱為「液態羊毛脂」)與彈性體組合之抗污組合物相對於若使用未經改質之羊毛脂之相同組合物具有更佳抗污特性。
當抗污組合物包含彈性體及一含至少20重量%之固醇類、其經醯基化或經烷氧基化的衍生物(其中重量%係固醇或固醇衍生物對該組分總重之百分比)時,亦發現抗污特性係出眾。因此,固醇類或固醇衍生物不必要係源自經改質的羊毛脂,但其可源自其他包含該數量之固醇類、其經醯基化或經烷氧基化的衍生物。
WO 2004/0588552、KR 2009068485、US 1960252及US
2009/0197003揭示各種防污組合物,且提及羊毛脂(未經改質的)可在防污組合物中用作大量替代性添加劑之一者。此等文獻中沒有教授或激勵讀者自該等長長的添加劑列表選擇羊毛脂,更遑論在防污組合物中使用前改質羊毛脂。
日本專利申請案JP 2005263975A揭示包含羊毛脂或羊毛脂衍生物之防污漆組合物。該案揭示必須用以製造防污漆之長長的樹脂列表,但未能教授當特定羊毛脂衍生物與彈性體組合以製造抗污塗料組合物時對抗污之協同效應。事實上,JP 2005263975指導讀者製造包含較硬、非彈性的聚合物-丙烯酸酯樹脂之抗污塗料組合物。另外,JP 2005263975認為丙烯酸酯樹脂應與聚丁烯組合。添加聚丁烯係為提高塗料薄膜之塑性。
出乎意料的是,本發明人已發現,包含一「較軟」彈性體及特定羊毛脂衍生物之本發明抗污組合物之塗料相對於JP 2005263975中所建議及例證之精心設計的較硬及非彈性塗料而言,具有對抗廣泛污著(黏質污著(slime fouling)、雜草污著、軟污著(soft fouling)及硬污著(hard fouling))之出眾抗污特性。
日本專利申請案JP 201009026A揭示包含羊毛脂或羊毛脂衍生物之無殺生物劑防污漆組合物。該案教示防污漆必須包含一種熱塑性樹脂,且需該熱塑性樹脂增強該漆之硬度。揭示大量熱塑性樹脂,且實例之塗料組合物包含熱塑性石油樹脂。因此,像JP 2005263975A、JP 201009026A亦教授使用「堅硬」樹脂替代如本發明組合物所需之「較
軟」彈性體樹脂。出乎意料的是,已發現,本發明抗污組合物形成相對於JP 201009026A中所建議及例證之精心設計的較硬塗料而言具有對抗廣泛污著(黏質污著、雜草沉積物、軟污著及硬污著)之出眾抗污特性的塗料。
本文所揭示之新穎抗污組合物之一優勢在於,由於羊毛脂/固醇(類)及固醇衍生物係生物可降解,故在抗污組合物中使用該等物質預期將對海洋及水生環境若有任何影響的話,產生極小影響。
出乎意料的是,已顯示,本發明污著鬆脫塗料組合物在低航行速度下(例如介於0及12海里之間)有效鬆脫污著。
本發明之一態樣係關於一種包含彈性體及含固醇(類)及/或固醇衍生物之組分之抗污組合物,其中該組分係選自經醯化的羊毛脂、經烷氧基化的羊毛脂、羊毛脂油,或包含至少20重量%之一或多種固醇、至少20重量%之一或多種C1-C12固醇酯或至少20重量%之經烷氧基化的固醇(類)之組合物,其中重量%係固醇或固醇衍生物對該組分總重之百分比。
固醇類及固醇酯係類三萜化合物,其為一類源自三萜分子之有機分子。此項技術中已知固醇類及固醇衍生物具有如圖1中所示之骨架碳結構(skelton carbon structure)。
圖1中所示之固醇碳骨架可係完全飽和,或可包含烯系不飽和雙鍵。例如,膽固醇在碳5與6間具有烯系不飽和雙
鍵。固醇骨架亦包含多個對掌性碳原子;因此存在不同異構形式。
固醇類及固醇衍生物可來自天然來源,諸如動物及植物。固醇類之實例包括:膽固醇、羊毛固醇、羊毛脂固醇、7-脫氫膽固醇、膽鈣化固醇、鏈固醇(desmosterol)、7-烯膽固烷醇(lathosterol)、3-膽固烷醇、糞固烷醇、菜油固醇、豆固醇、植固醇、燕麥固醇、豆固烯醇、菜籽固醇、4-去甲基固醇(4-desmethyl sterol)(即在碳-4上無取代基)、4α-單甲基固醇及4,4-二甲基固醇、植物固烷醇(完全飽和)、麥角固醇、芸香素及環阿屯醇(cylcoartenol)。
包含固醇類及固醇衍生物之種子油之實例包括月見草油、鱷梨油、菜籽油、低芥酸菜籽油、玉米油、花生油、向日葵油、琉璃苣油、橄欖油、芝麻油、椰子油、棉籽油、紅花油、棕櫚油、核桃油、胡桃油、杏仁油及大豆油。因此,抗污組合物中所用的組分可源自種子油,例如彼等上文所述者。然而,為使種子油包含所需量的固醇類、固醇酯或經烷氧基化的固醇類,有必要藉由水解(以提升固醇之量)、醯化(以降低固醇酯之量)或烷氧基化(以提升經烷氧基化的固醇之量)來改質組合物中之種子油。因此,組分可包含業經水解、經醯基化或經烷氧基化的種子油。
在本發明之一實施例中,組分包含由圖1所示之固醇類及/或固醇衍生物,其中Y係選自-OH(固醇)、-0-(CO)R3(固醇酯)或-O-R4-(OR5)xOR6(經烷氧基化的固醇),其中
R3為包含介於1及12個碳原子之間的支鏈或直鏈烷基,及R4及R5係獨立的C2-6伸烷基,R6為氫或C1-4伯烷基或仲烷基基團,X為介於1至100之間的整數。
當Y為R3(CO)0-,而R3為包含介於1及12個碳原子之間的烷基部分時,本文稱固醇酯為C1-C12經醯基化的固醇酯。
較佳地,R3為直鏈烷基部分。較佳地,R3為包含介於1及5個碳原子之間的烷基(本文稱作「C1-C5經醯基化的固醇酯」),或介於1及3個碳原子之間的烷基(本文稱作「C1-C3經醯基化的固醇酯」)。最佳地,R3包含1個碳原子且為CH3-基團。若R3為CH3-基團,則本文稱固醇酯為經乙醯化的固醇酯。
較佳地,R4及R5為伸乙基。
較佳地,R6為氫或甲基。
較佳地,X為介於1至80之間的整數,更佳地,1至50,甚至更佳地,1至30,及最佳地,1-15。

抗污組合物組分中一或多種C1-C12固醇酯可為C1-C5經醯基化的固醇酯之一或多者,甚至更佳地,一或多種C1-C3經醯基化固醇酯,及最佳地,經乙醯化的固醇酯。
組分可為經醯基化的羊毛脂。在一些實施例中,經醯基化的羊毛脂可為C1-C12經醯基化的羊毛脂,例如C1-C5經醯基化的羊毛脂,及最佳地,經乙醯化的羊毛脂。經乙醯化的羊毛脂可被進一步改質為油形式(例如,藉由分段結晶)。
包含固醇類及/或固醇衍生物之組合物(諸如羊毛脂)可經醯基化,以製備用於抗污組合物之組分。組合物可藉由與醯化劑(酸或醯氯/酸酐)混合而被直接醯基化(一步驟反應),或者可先經水解,接著,後續形成的醇可接著使用醯化劑被醯基化(兩步驟反應)。在兩種反應中,存在於組合物中的游離羥基基團(例如,固醇上之羥基基團)將被部分或完全地轉化為醯酯基團。此外,既有酯基(例如,在羊毛脂中大量存在之長鏈脂肪酸之固醇酯)將被部分或完全地轉化為該醯化劑之相同醯基。例如,若羊毛脂係使用乙醯氯或乙酸酐而乙醯化,則游離固醇類及大比例長鏈脂肪固醇酯皆將變為經乙醯化的固醇酯。
專業人員將明白,醯酯之烷基鏈長度取決於所用醯化劑。例如,可使用具有一包括5個碳原子之醯基基團之醯化劑(「C5-醯化劑」)來製備C5-經醯基化固醇酯。
經乙醯化的羊毛脂可來自商業採購,例如:Acetylated Lanolin Standard(NK Chemicals)、Acylan(Croda)、Modulan(Lubrizol)、YOFCO AC-25(Nipon Fine Chemical Co.)、RolanACE(Rolex Lanolin Products Limited)及Acetylated Lanolin (Wujiang Xinyi Chemical Co.)。
組分可包含經烷氧基化的固醇(類)。包含經烷氧基化的固醇(類)之組分可包含至少30重量%、至少40重量%、至少50重量%、至少60重量%、至少70重量%、至少80重量%、或至少90重量%之一或多種經烷氧基化的固醇(類),其中重量%為固醇對該組分之總重之百分比。
經烷氧基化的固醇類可為乙氧基化的固醇類。在一實施例中,乙氧基化的固醇具有圖1之結構,其中Y為-O-R4-(OR5)xOR6,而R4及R5皆為伸乙基。較佳地,R6為氫或C1-4伯烷基或仲烷基基團,諸如甲基。
組分可為經烷氧基化的羊毛脂。較佳地,聚環氧烷鏈中環氧烷單元數量在1-100之間變化,例如1-80,更佳地,1-50,更佳地,1-30,及最佳地,1-15。經烷氧基化的羊毛脂可為乙氧基化的羊毛脂,包含聚環氧乙烷鏈。乙氧基化的羊毛脂可具有介於800-450道爾頓之間之分子量(MW)。
乙氧基化的羊毛脂可視情況溶解於水性介質或有機介質中,諸如二甲苯、三甲苯、丁醇、甲基異丁酮及甲基異戊酮。
乙氧基化的羊毛脂可來自商業採購,例如來自NK Chemicals(PEG-30羊毛脂)。
組分可為羊毛脂油(「液態羊毛脂」)。羊毛脂油可藉由分段結晶製備。當羊毛脂係藉由分段結晶改質時,較低分子量組分係以液體形式收集。較高分子量組分形成固體;此種組分統稱為羊毛脂蠟。液體餾份之平均分子量係取決於在分段結晶製程中所用溶劑。例如,當使用異丙醇萃取時,平均分子量為約360。
就液體而言,吾人意指按照ASTM(1996)D4359-90:測定材料為液體或固體之標準測試方法(Standard Test Method for Determining Whether a Material is a Liquid or a Solid)所定義之液體物質,但測試係在15℃而非如ASTM方法中所指定的38℃下進行。接受測試的組分係保持在15℃之密封罐中,以測試該組分是否包含一或多種固醇及/或其酯。移去蓋子並翻轉罐子。觀察罐中物質流動,以確定其為固體或液體。3分鐘內總共流動50 mm或更少之物質視為固體。否則視為液體。
羊毛脂油可來自商業採購,例如,Fluilan(Croda).EWALANFL-50 (H. Erhard Wagner GmbH) 、 Lanogene (Lubrizol) 、 YOFCO Liquid Lanolin (Nipon Fine Chemical C0.) 、 LiquidLanolin Standard(NK Chemicals)及RolanOIL(RolexLanolin Products Limited)。

就實質上純的而言,吾人意指構成組分至少70重量%,較佳地,至少80重量%,及更佳地,至少90重量%之組分為固醇,或其經醯基化/經烷氧基化的衍生物,其中重量%為固醇/固醇衍生物對該組分總重之百分比。
特定言之,本發明人已發現包含純的及實質上純的固醇酯(例如,如以下固醇類之一者之固醇酯:膽固醇、羊毛固醇、環阿屯醇、菜油固醇、植固醇、豆固醇、芸香素或羊毛脂固醇(及特定言之,固醇乙酸酯))之組合物當用作抗污塗料組合物中之組分時,出乎意料地相對於其他已知抗污組合物,具有極佳抗污性能。
若組分為羊毛脂之經改質形式,則其較佳為無水的。就無水而言,吾人意指羊毛脂包含少於1重量%、0.5重量%、0.2重量%水。
在本發明之所有實施例中,抗污組合物中該組分對聚合物之重量比可為約1-30%,較佳地,1-10%。
用以製備本發明塗料之塗料組合物可包含一或多種聚合物,當其經乾燥、固化或交聯時形成「彈性體」。本文稱此等聚合物為「彈性體」。
就「彈性體」,吾人意指可乾燥、可固化或可交聯且當經乾燥、固化或交聯時為,呈現極少塑性流動,且快速且幾乎完全從張力恢復之似橡膠材料的聚合物。當在室溫(25℃)下測試時,經乾燥、固化或交聯的聚合物能拉伸25%(應變速率30 mm/分鐘),且在經拉伸25%、保持5分鐘及接著釋放後,能在釋放後5分鐘內收縮至其原長的10%。伸長測量可按照ASTM D638-10使用茲維克拉伸試驗機(Zwick tensile test machine)及雷射伸長計進行。供測試之空白膜應具有90×15×0.5 mm之樣品尺寸,藉由ASTM D2370-98之8.2.2部分給定之步驟製備。
在所有實施例中,彈性體較佳為有機矽氧烷聚合物之一者或其混合物。
有機矽烷(有時在此項技術中稱其為含有機矽氧烷聚合物)為在本發明範圍內之彈性體。
較佳地,聚有機矽氧烷具有一或多個,更佳地,二或多個反應性官能基,諸如羥基、烷氧基、乙醯氧基、羧基、氫矽基、胺、環氧基、乙烯基或肟官能基。
含有機矽氧烷聚合物可包含一般結構-[SiR1R2-O]-之重複單元,其中R1及R2係獨立地選自含氫、烷基、芳基、芳烷基及乙烯基之部分。較佳地,R1及R2係獨立地選自選自C1-C6烷基之烷基、苯基、C1-C6烷基苯基或C1-C6伸烷基。
R1及R2可係獨立地選自甲基及苯基。或者,含有機矽氧烷聚合物為一其中R1及R2皆為甲基之聚合物。
例如,可使用縮合可固化聚二甲基矽氧烷(二羥基官能基),其與原矽酸四乙酯交聯(二月桂酸二丁錫催化)。
較佳聚合物包含在主鏈上實質上無碳之矽氧烷基團,例如,聚二甲基矽氧烷(其中實質上無碳意指存在少於1 wt.%碳)。其他合適聚合物為WO 99/33927中所揭示之聚合物,尤其在第12頁第23-31行所揭示之聚合物,即有機氫聚矽氧烷(organohydrogenpolysiloxane)或聚二有機矽氧烷。聚矽氧烷可包括(例如)二有機矽氧烷單元與有機氫矽氧烷單元及/或與其他二有機矽氧烷單元之共聚物,或者有機氫矽氧烷單元或二有機矽氧烷單元之同元聚合物。
亦可使用可藉由矽氫化反應交聯之聚矽氧烷。此等聚合物稱為「氫化聚矽氧(hydride silicone)」,並揭示於(例如)EP 874032-A2第3頁,即式R'-(SiOR'2)-SiR'3之聚二有機矽氧烷,其中各個R'係獨立的烴或經氟化的烴基,每個分子至少兩個R'基團為不飽和或氫,每個分子至少兩個R'基團為氫,而m具有範圍在約10-1,500之平均值。亦可採用與上式物質類似之環狀聚二有機矽氧烷。氫化聚矽氧較佳為氫聚二甲基矽氧烷。
此外,聚有機矽氧烷亦可包含二或多種具不同黏度之聚有機矽氧烷。
或者,彈性體可為如WO 2008132196中所述之聚合物,其中聚合物係PS-(A-PO-A-PS)n形式之聚有機矽氧烷聚環
氧烷嵌段共聚物,其中PS代表聚有機矽氧烷嵌段,PO代表聚環氧烷嵌段,A代表二價部分,而n具有至少1之數值。
聚合物在每個分子之聚有機矽氧烷嵌段上具有二或三個反應基X,每個分子可自縮合,並在存在或不存在觸媒下交聯,其可視情況與另一含二或多個與該等基團X反應之基團Y之有機矽交聯劑交聯。
較佳地,聚有機矽氧烷聚合物係以基於塗料組合物總重之30至90 wt%之量存在。
較佳地,聚合物係可交聯。取決於可交聯聚合物之類型,塗料組合物可能需交聯劑。
彈性體亦可包含被視為非彈性體之樹脂,其條件為彈性體樹脂相對於非彈性體樹脂之比例使得當經乾燥、固化或交聯時,彈性體及非彈性體樹脂之經乾燥/經固化/經交聯的混合物滿足成為如上述測試之「彈性體」之要求。
非彈性體及彈性體樹脂之實例包括:丙烯腈丁二烯苯乙烯、丙烯酸系樹脂、甲基丙烯酸系樹脂、乙酸酯、氟樹脂、聚丙烯腈、聚醯胺、聚芳醚酮、聚丁二烯、聚丁烯、聚對苯二甲酸酯、聚己內酯、聚三氟氯乙烯、聚碳酸酯、聚酮、聚酯、聚乙烯、聚醚醚酮、聚醚酮酮、聚醚醯亞胺、聚醚碸、聚醯亞胺、聚乳酸、聚丙烯、聚苯乙烯、聚碸、聚胺基甲酸酯、聚乙酸乙烯酯、聚氯乙烯、聚二氯亞乙烯、苯乙烯-丙烯腈、聚異戊二烯、聚異丁烯、丁基橡膠、鹵代丁基橡膠、苯乙烯-丁二烯橡膠、腈橡膠、氫化
腈橡膠、乙烯丙烯橡膠、乙烯丙烯二烯橡膠、有機聚矽氧烷樹脂、氟聚矽氧、氟彈性體、全氟彈性體、聚醚嵌段醯胺、氯磺化聚乙烯或乙烯-乙酸乙烯酯樹脂。
塗料組合物亦可包含填料。
合適填料之實例為硫酸鋇、硫酸鈣、碳酸鈣、矽石或矽酸鹽(諸如,滑石、長石及瓷土),包括熱解矽石、膨潤土及其他黏土,及通常為縮合支鏈聚矽氧烷之固態聚矽氧樹脂,諸如包含式SiO4/2之Q單元及式R m 3SiO1/2之M單元之聚矽氧樹脂,其中R m 取代基係選自具有1至6個碳原子之烷基基團,且M單元對Q單元之比例係於0.4:1至1:1之範圍。一些諸如焰製矽石之填料可對塗料組合物具有觸變效應。填料之比例可係基於塗料組合物總重於0至25 wt%之範圍。較佳地,黏土係以0至1 wt%之量存在,及較佳地,觸變膠係以0至5 wt%之量存在(基於塗料組合物總重)。

當彈性體係可交聯時,組合物可包含觸媒。

較佳地,觸媒係以基於塗料組合物總重之0.05至4wt%之量存在。
當彈性體係可交聯時,組合物可包含交聯劑。
視情況存在之交聯劑可係包含官能基矽烷及/或乙醯氧
基、烷氧基、醯胺基、烯氧基及肟基團之一者或多者的交聯劑,較佳包含一或多個肟基團。此等交聯劑之實例出現在WO99/33927中。亦可使用不同交聯劑之混合物。
適合用於抗污塗料組合物之溶劑包括芳烴、醇、酮、酯及以上物質相互組合之混合物、或脂肪烴。較佳溶劑包括諸如甲基異戊酮之酮及/或二甲苯。
在一較佳實施例中,本發明抗污組合物可係不含或實質上不含殺生物劑。出乎意料的是,本發明人已發現,不包含殺生物劑之本發明抗污組合物相對於商業上領先的包含如WO 02/074870所述之氟聚合物之無殺生物劑抗污塗料,具有更佳防污性能。
或者,本發明抗污組合物可包含一或多種殺生物劑。
殺生物劑可為用於海洋或淡水生物之無機、有機金屬、金屬有機或有機殺生物劑之一或多者。無機殺生物劑之實例包括銅鹽(諸如氧化銅、硫氰酸亞銅、青銅、碳酸銅、氯化銅、銅鎳合金)及銀鹽(諸如氯化銀或硝酸銀);有機金屬及金屬有機殺生物劑包括吡啶硫酮鋅(zinc pyrithione,2-吡啶巰基-1-氧化物之鋅鹽)、吡啶硫酮銅、雙(N-環己基-氮烯鎓二氧基)銅、伸乙基雙二硫胺基甲酸鋅(即zineb)、二甲基二硫胺基甲酸鋅(ziram)及與鋅鹽錯合之伸乙基-雙(二硫胺基甲酸錳)(即mancozeb);而有機殺生物劑包括甲醛、十二烷基胍單鹽酸鹽、噻苯咪唑、N-三鹵甲基硫基鄰苯二甲醯亞胺、三鹵甲基硫基磺醯胺、N-芳基馬來醯亞胺(諸如,N-(2,4,6-三氯苯基)馬來醯亞胺)、3-(3,4-二氯苯
基)-1,1-二甲脲(達有龍(diuron))、2,3,5,6-四氯-4-(甲基磺醯基)吡啶、2-甲硫基-4-丁基胺基-6-環丙基胺基-s-三嗪、3-苯并[b]噻吩-基-5,6-二氫-1,4,2-噁噻嗪4-氧化物、4,5-二氯-2-(正辛基)-3(2H)-異噻唑酮、2,4,5,6-四氯異酞腈、甲基益發靈(tolylfluanid)、益發靈(dichlofluanid)、對甲苯基二碘甲基碸、辣椒素(capsciacin)、N-環丙基-N'-(1,1-二甲基乙基)-6-(甲硫基)-1,3,5-三嗪-2,4-二胺、3-碘-2-丙炔基丁基胺基甲酸酯、美托咪啶(medetomidine)、1,4-二噻蒽醌-2,3-二甲腈(腈硫醌(dithianon))、硼烷(諸如,吡啶三苯基硼烷)、在位置5及視情況在位置1經取代之2-三鹵甲基-3-鹵-4-氰基吡咯衍生物(諸如,2-(對氯苯基)-3-氰基-4-溴-5-三氟甲基吡咯(tralopyril)及呋喃酮(諸如,3-丁基-5-(二溴亞甲基)-2(5H)-呋喃酮)及其混合物、大環內酯(諸如,阿維菌素(avermectin),例如阿維菌素B1、害獲滅(ivermectin)、多拉菌素(doramectin)、阿巴汀(abamectin)、因滅汀(amamectin)及色拉菌素(selamectin)及四級銨鹽(諸如,氯化二癸基二甲基銨及氯化烷基二甲基苄基銨)。
若抗污組合物包含殺生物劑,吾人意指殺生物劑係存在於經乾燥、固化或交聯的塗料層層體內部(在這種意義上而言,其係先混合於塗料組合物中,然後進行乾燥、固化或交聯)。
視情況地,抗污組合物包含其他已知具有抗污作用之物質,例如,WO 02/074870中所述之含氟化烷基或烷氧基之聚合物或寡聚物。
塗料組合物較佳具有35 wt%,更佳至少50 wt%,甚至更佳至少70 wt%之固體含量,如塗料組合物中不揮發性物質之百分比所定義的一樣。固體含量可高達80 wt%、90 wt%、95 wt%,及較佳地,高達100 wt%。
固體含量可按照ASTM方法D2697測定。
塗料組合物可藉由常規技術施加,諸如刷塗、滾塗或噴塗(無氣及習知)。較佳係將抗污塗料組合物施加至有底漆基板,以便適當地黏附至該基板上。
底漆可為任何習知底漆/封閉劑塗料系統。特定言之,就黏著性而言,當使用一種包含丙烯酸矽氧基官能基聚合物、溶劑、觸變劑、填料及視情況之濕氣淨化劑之底漆時,可得到理想結果。此一底漆揭示於WO 99/33927中。根據本發明之塗料組合物亦可施加於含老化防污塗料層之基板上。藉由高壓水清洗該老化層,以移除任何污著,接著將根據本發明塗料組合物施加至此一老化層。WO 99/33927中所揭示之底漆可用作老化塗料層與根據本發明塗料組合物之間之黏結塗層。在該塗料經乾燥、固化或交聯後,可立即將其浸沒,並得到立即防污及污著鬆脫保護。如上文所指出,根據本發明塗料組合物具有極佳抗污及污著鬆脫特性。此特性使得該等塗料組合物極其適合用作海洋及水產業應用之防污、無污著或抗污塗料。該塗料可用於動態及靜態兩種結構,諸如船隻及船殼、浮標、鑽探平台、產油鑽機、浮式生產儲卸油容器(FPSO)、浮式儲存及再氣化裝置(FSRU)、發電站中之冷卻水入口、漁網

塗料可應用於該等結構所用之任何基板,諸如金屬、混凝土、木材或纖維增強樹脂。
在一實施例中,本發明係關於一種經如本文所描述之抗污塗料組合物塗佈之基板或結構。
本發明之另一實施例係一種抑制水生環境中基板之污著之方法,該方法藉由將本文所描述及主張之抗污組合物施加至基板,及接著將該基板定位於水生環境中。
本發明之另一實施例係使用如本文所描述及主張之抗污組合物,以抑制水生環境中基板上之污著。
本發明將藉由參考以下實例闡明。
藉由混合表1中所示之組分製備七種不同塗料組合物。
*比較實例
(1)E10-H(Solvay Solexis)TM。
(2)經乙醯化的羊毛脂標準(NK Chemicals)TM。
(3)無水羊毛脂TG(NK Chemicals)TM。
(4)Fluilan(Croda)。使用Sheen黏度計錐板式黏度計測得此羊毛脂油在25℃下之黏度為26泊。
(5)Argowax(Croda)TM。
(6)膽固醇(Sigma-Aldrich)TM。
(7)乙酸膽固醇酯(Sigma-Aldrich)TM。
(8)3-0213聚合物(Dow Corning)TM。
(9)Aerosil R972(Evonik)TM。
(10)Molsiv 5A(OMYA)TM。
(11)Tioxide TR92(Huntsman)TM。
(12)Bayferrox 318M(Lanxess)TM。
藉由刷子將實例塗料組合物施加到使用合適底漆打底的玻璃基板上。將經塗佈的基板浸於海洋污著生物可生長的環境中。在七天時間後,將受污著的基板置於流槽中。槽中水流速度遞增地自零增加至十九海里。記錄經塗佈的基板之污著覆蓋程度。
在所有情況中,隨著流動速度增加,污著覆蓋程度降低,如使用抗污組合物所預期的一樣。
選擇包含含氟聚合物之比較抗污實例,因為其係WO 02/074870中所描述之相對於其他已知組合物來說具有出眾抗污抗污特性之組合物。
此等結果顯示,當與包含未經改質之羊毛脂、羊毛脂蠟或含氟聚合物之組合物比較時,包含經乙醯化的羊毛脂及羊毛脂油之組合物(實例2及4)在所有流動速度下皆具有出眾抗污能力。
實例1及2之塗料組合物係藉由滾筒施加至位於UK Hartlepool碼頭之適當地塗有底漆的船殼。該碼頭係以雜草、黏菌、硬體動物及軟體動物污著著稱。十個月後檢查船隻,且在經實例2塗佈區域上所觀測到之結垢程度輕於彼等經實例1塗佈之區域。
此等結果顯示,當施加至活動遊船上時,包含經乙醯化的羊毛脂之組合物具有極佳污著鬆脫性能。包含經乙醯化的羊毛脂之組合物與領先商業組合物(標準)相比,具有更佳總體抗污性能。
藉由刷子將實例塗料組合物施加到使用合適底漆打底的木質基板上。將經塗佈的基板浸於兩個已知發生海洋污著(黏質污著、雜草污著、軟體動物污著及硬體動物污著)之處(UK Burnham-upon-Crouch及Singapore Changi)的海洋環境中。定期評估經塗佈的基板,並記錄污著覆蓋程度。

在兩個位置,若干個月後,3種塗料皆展現良好抗污能力。當塗料包含含經乙醯化的固醇類之組分(實例1及7)時,顯示尤佳抗污能力。

Claims (13)
- 一種抗污組合物,其包含彈性體、溶劑及一組份,該組份係選自經醯化的羊毛脂、經烷氧基化的羊毛脂或羊毛脂油,其中該彈性體為有機矽氧烷聚合物之一者或其混合物。
- 如請求項1之抗污組合物,其中該經醯化的羊毛脂係C1-C12經醯化的羊毛脂。
- 如請求項1之抗污組合物,其中該經醯化的羊毛脂係經乙醯化的羊毛脂。
- 如請求項1至3中任一項之抗污組合物,其中該組分對該彈性體之重量比為約1-30%。
- 如請求項1至3中任一項之抗污組合物,其中該彈性體為包含一般結構-[SiR1R2-O]-之重複單元之聚合物,其中R1及R2係獨立地選自氫、烷基、芳基、芳烷基及乙烯基基團。
