1284755 九、發明說明: 【發明所屬之技術領域】 本發明係關於一種資料轉送電路及平型顯示裝置,可適 用於例如於絕緣基板上-體形成有驅動電路之液晶顯示裝 置。本發明係藉由僅將第w鎖部之閃鎖結果之反轉輸出部 分或僅將非反轉輸出部分資料轉送至第2問鎖部,且至少於 資料轉送至該第2問鎖部之期間,啓動第丨問鎖部之電源電 麼之處理,可於TFT等之構成中,簡化資料轉送之構成。 【先前技術】 近年來,提供有-種於作為適用於例如舰㈣麵以 cHghai assistant,個人數位助理)、行動電話等携帶型終端 機名置之平型顯不裝置的液晶顯示裝置中’於構成液晶顯 :面板之作為絕緣基板之玻璃基板上—體性地構成液晶顯 示面板之驅動電路者。 即圖1係表示該種液晶顯示裝置之方塊圖。該液晶顯示裝 置1形成有:液晶單元2、作為該液晶單元2之轉換元件之多 晶石夕TFT(Thin Film Transist〇r:薄膜電晶體)3、藉由未圖示 之保持電容形成各像素幷以矩陣狀配置該各像素而成為矩 形形狀之顯不部4。該液晶顯示裝置!中’藉由對於以如此 成於顯示部4之各像素配置彩色濾光器,於水平方 〇頃人循%反覆紅色、綠色、藍色之像素R、G、B,藉 由將該等紅色、綠色、藍色之像素R、G、B作為一組的24〇 組形成水平方向之像素,從而形成顯示部4。該液晶顯示裝 置1中,指示該等紅色、、綠色、藍色之像素R、G、B之灰階 92932.doc 1284755 的各6位元之灰階資料R〇〜R5、GO〜G5、BO〜B5以光栅掃描 之順序同時幷列地輸入,藉由該灰階資料Dl(R〇〜R5、 GO〜G5、B0〜B5)驅動各像素,從而得以顯示所希望之圖像。 於液晶顯示裝置1中,該顯示部4之信號綫SL及閘極錢SG 分別連接於水平驅動電路5及垂直驅動電路6,水平驅動電 路5依據灰階資料D1輸出對應於各信號綫SL之像素的驅動 #號’垂直驅動電路6對應於該水平驅動電路5之對信號綫 SL輸出之驅動信號,藉由閘極綫sg之控制以綫單位選擇顯 示部4之像素。藉此於液晶顯示裝置1中,藉由該等水平驅 動電路5及垂直驅動電路6驅動顯示部4之各像素,從而得以 顯示所希望之圖像。 具體的是,水平驅動電路5如例如日本專利特開 2000-242209號公報所示,藉由相應灰階資料選擇複數個基 準電壓V0〜V63,可數位類比轉換處理灰階資料〇卜從而得 以產生驅動信號。即水平驅動電路5藉由對應於水平方向之 像素之配置而設置之取樣閂鎖電路(81〇8而順次循環地取 樣對應灰階資料D1之位元R0〜R5、go〜G5、B0〜B5,以域 單位匯總該灰階資料D1,輸出至對應之基準電壓選擇器9。 基準電壓產生電路1 〇產生幷輸出對應於灰階資料D丨之各灰 階的複數個基準電壓V〇〜V63。基準電壓選擇器9藉由各取 樣閂鎖電路8之輸出資料而選擇自該基準電壓產生電路1〇 輸出之基準電壓V0〜V63,藉此輸出數位類比轉換處理對應 之灰階資料D1的驅動信號。緩衝電路u輸出該驅動信號至 對應之信號綫SL。 92932.doc 1284755 至少於將第】問鎖部之問鎖結果資料轉送至第2問鎖部之期 間’啓動第1閂鎖部之電源電壓。 藉由,根據本發明之構成,於平型顯示裝置之閂鎖電路 令,可藉由簡易之構成,穩定且確實地資料轉送閂鎖結果。 【實施方式】 、下乡照適且圖式就本發明之實施例加以詳細說明。 (1)第一個實施例 圖4係藉由與圖2之對比,表示適用於本發明之實施例之 液晶顯示裝置的取樣問鎖電路之!位元份之構成的連接 圖。於該實施例之液晶顯示裝置中,除該取樣閂鎖電路38 之構成不同以外,與圖丨、圖2之上述液晶顯示裝置1係同一 構成,故而省略重複說明。 於該取樣閂鎖電路38中,以對應於水平方向之像素之配 置的時序藉由第1閂鎖部41閂鎖灰階資料〇1後,以水平遮沒 期間之特定時序將該第丨閂鎖部41之閂鎖結果轉送至第2閂 鎖部42閂鎖,輸出至其後之基準電壓選擇器9。該取樣閂鎖 電路38籍由單相實行該等自第1閂鎖部41至第2閂鎖部心之 閂鎖結果的資料轉送,又藉由電源電壓之提升確保藉由單 相資料轉送而不足之範圍。 即於該取樣閂鎖電路38中,第i閂鎖部41於正側電源VH 與負側電源VSS之間並列設置有含有NMOS電晶體Qi 1及 PMOS電晶體Q12之CM〇s反相器、以及含有nM〇s電晶體 Q13及PMOS電晶體Q14之CMOS反相器。第1閂鎖部41中, 電晶體Q11及Q12之反相器輸出,輸入至電晶體q13及q14 92932.doc -11 - 1284755 之反相器’又介以藉由取樣時脈sp進行截止動作之開關電 路44 ’電晶體qu及q12反相器輸入,輸入至電晶體q13及 Q14之反相器’進而介以藉由取樣時脈sp進行導通動作之 NMOS電晶體Q15,灰階資料D丨輸入至電晶體q丨丨及q丨2之 反相器。 藉此取樣閂鎖電路38,藉由電晶體qi 1〜q15形成CMOS 閂鎖單元,如圖5(A)〜(C)所示,藉由取樣脈衝sp將開關電路 44設定為截止狀態,讀取灰階資料D1後,得以保持將開關 電路44設定為導通狀態而讀取之灰階資料Di,從而相應對 應之像素之水平方向的位置設定該等閂鎖之時序。 進而第1閂鎖部41藉由開關電路47之電源之選擇,該等閂 鎖之處理,以設定為與前段電路之電源電壓相等之電壓 2.9[V]„ 0 至第2閃鎖部42之前,選擇Μ高於㈣時之電Μ5·8[ν]之 電源彻2,當資料轉送結束時,則選擇原先之電源卿卜 藉此該取樣問鎖電路38中,至少於將問鎖結果自第…鎖部 、2料轉送至第2問鎖部42之期間’提升電源電塵,確保因 以單相資料轉送問鎖結果造成降低之邊户艮。 第1門鎖W 41藉此介以轉送開關45以水平遮沒期間之特 定時序,擴大_果之振幅並轉送至第2問鎖部42,㈣ =施例中,反轉輸出部分可適用於供至該㈣ 結果。(圖5(C)〜⑻)。 ΚΠ鎖 設Γ/^42於正側電源VDD2與負側^ ^
