Abstract

A limb hot and cold compress device is suitable for placing a limb and for arranging a hot and cold compress for applying ice/heat to the limb. The limb hot and cold compress device comprises a seat and a sliding unit. The seat defines a placement groove that is concave downward and extends longitudinally along a first direction and can be used to place the limb. The sliding unit includes two slide rails respectively arranged on two opposite long sides of the seat, and a supporting mechanism that can be slidably mounted on the slide rails along the first direction. The supporting mechanism can be used to place the hot and cold compress so that the hot and cold compress is placed across the limb. The present invention allows the limb to be placed in the placement groove, and the supporting mechanism allows the hot and cold compress to be placed and placed across the limb, so that the user can perform ice/heat compress by himself without the assistance of others.

Description

Limb hot and cold compress devices

The present invention relates to a medical rehabilitation device, in particular to a limb hot and cold compress device.

Patients who undergo total knee replacement surgery often experience postoperative wound pain. Postoperative treatment is often supplemented with non-pharmacological adjunctive therapies, such as ice compresses and limb elevation, to reduce swelling and pain. Traditional leg-lift pillows only elevate the affected limb and are suitable only for lower limb joints. Applying ice compresses requires assistance from a caregiver or the patient's own hand-held ice pack to apply it to the affected area. This is inconvenient for patients who require prolonged ice compresses and urgently needs improvement.

Therefore, the object of the present invention is to provide a limb hot and cold compress device that can overcome at least one disadvantage of the prior art.

Therefore, the limb hot and cold compress device of the present invention is suitable for placing a limb and providing a hot and cold compress component for applying ice/heat to the limb. The limb hot and cold compress device includes a base plate and a sliding unit.

The seat plate defines a placement slot which is concave downward and extends longitudinally along a first direction and is used for placing the limb.

The sliding unit includes two slide rails respectively arranged on two opposite long sides of the seat plate, and a supporting mechanism slidably mounted on the slide rails along the first direction. The supporting mechanism can be used to place the hot or cold compress so that the hot or cold compress is placed across the limb.

The utility of the present invention is that the limb can be placed on the placement slot, and the hot/cold compress can be placed on the supporting structure, so that the hot/cold compress can be placed on top of the limb, and the user can perform ice/hot compress by himself without the help of others.

Before the present invention is described in detail, it should be noted that similar elements are denoted by the same reference numerals in the following description.

Referring to Figures 1, 2 and 3, a first embodiment of the limb hot and cold compress device of the present invention is suitable for placing a limb 8 and providing a hot and cold compress component 9 for applying ice/heat to the limb 8. The first embodiment includes a seat plate 1 and a sliding unit 2. The cross-section of the seat plate 1 is generally U-shaped. The seat plate 1 defines a placement groove 10 that is recessed downward and extends longitudinally along a first direction D1. The placement groove 10 can be used for placing the limb 8. The sliding unit 2 includes two slide rails 21 respectively arranged on two opposite long sides of the seat plate 1, and a supporting mechanism 22 that can be slidably mounted on the slide rails 21 along the first direction D1. Each of the slide rails 21 has a plurality of tooth grooves 210 arranged along the first direction D1. The supporting mechanism 22 includes two slides 221, each mounted on the rails 21 and supporting the hot or cold compress 9. The slides 221 allow the hot or cold compress 9 to be positioned over the limb 8. Each slide 221 includes a base 223 and two springs 224 mounted on the base 223 and releasably snapped onto two of the toothed grooves 210. The springs 224 allow the base 223 to be adjusted and positioned on the corresponding rail 21.

It should be noted that the number of the springs 224 is not limited to two, and can be one, three, etc. according to actual needs, as long as the springs 224 can enable the seat 223 to be adjusted and positioned on the corresponding slide rail 21.

The first embodiment allows the user to place the affected limb through the design of the placement slot 10, and through the design of the slides 221, the hot/cold compress 9 can be placed on the limb 8 and slide over the affected part, so that the user can apply ice/hot compress without the assistance of others.

Referring to Figure 4 , a second embodiment of the limb hot/cold compress device of the present invention is shown. The structure of this second embodiment is substantially the same as that of the first embodiment, differing in the design of the support mechanism 22. The support mechanism 22 comprises two slides 221, each mounted on the slide rails 21, and a storage bag 222 mounted between the slides 221. The storage bag is positioned above the placement slot 10 and is used to support the hot/cold compress 9, allowing it to straddle the limb 8.

Referring to Figures 5 and 6 , a third embodiment of the limb hot and cold compress device of the present invention is shown. The structure of the third embodiment is substantially the same as that of the first embodiment, except that the third embodiment further comprises a first leg 3 mounted on the bottom left side of the seat plate 1, and a second leg 4 disposed on the bottom right side of the seat plate 1 and spaced apart from the first leg 3. The first leg 3 and the second leg 4 can be operated to change between an extended position that props up the two ends of the seat plate 1 (as shown in Figure 5 ), and a retracted position that does not prop up the seat plate 1 (as shown in Figure 6 ). The first leg 3 and the second leg 4 prop up the seat plate 1 at different heights.

Referring to Figures 7 and 8 , in this embodiment, the first leg 3 is a shorter leg, supporting the seat plate 1 at a lower height, while the second leg 4 is a longer leg, supporting the seat plate 1 at a higher height. However, in other embodiments of the present invention, the first leg 3 may be a longer leg, while the second leg 4 may be a shorter leg. The present invention does not necessarily require the simultaneous provision of the first leg 3 and the second leg 4. In other embodiments, only the first leg 3 or only the second leg 4 may be provided. When in use, it is not necessary to unfold the first leg 3 and the second leg 4 at the same time. It is also possible to unfold only the first leg 3 (as shown in FIG8 ) or only the second leg 4 (as shown in FIG7 ).

In summary, the limb hot/cold compress device of the present invention, by virtue of the placement slot 10 for placing the limb 8 and the support mechanism 22 for mounting the hot/cold compress member 9, allows the hot/cold compress member 9 to be placed across the limb 8. This allows the user to apply an ice/hot compress independently without assistance, thus effectively achieving the purpose of the present invention.

The present invention also allows the user to raise the affected part of the limb 8 by means of the first leg 3 and/or the second leg 4, placing it at a comfortable angle as needed, and simultaneously apply ice/hot compress, thereby effectively achieving the purpose of the present invention.

However, the above description is merely an example of the present invention and should not be used to limit the scope of the present invention. All simple equivalent changes and modifications made within the scope of the patent application and the contents of the patent specification of the present invention are still within the scope of the present patent.

Claims (7)

A limb hot/cold compress device is suitable for placing a limb and receiving a hot/cold compress for applying ice/heat to the limb. The limb hot/cold compress device comprises: A base plate defining a downwardly recessed placement slot extending longitudinally in a first direction for placing the limb; A sliding unit comprising two rails disposed on opposite longitudinal sides of the base plate, and a supporting mechanism slidably mounted on the rails in the first direction. The supporting mechanism supports the hot/cold compress, allowing the compress to be positioned across the limb. A limb hot and cold compress device as described in claim 1, wherein the supporting mechanism has two sliding seats respectively mounted on the slide rails and for the hot and cold compress piece to be mounted astride. A limb hot and cold compress device as described in claim 1, wherein the supporting mechanism has two slides respectively mounted on the slide rails, and a storage bag mounted on the slides and located above the placement slot for carrying the hot and cold compress. A limb hot and cold compress device as described in claim 2 or 3, wherein each of the slide rails has a plurality of tooth grooves arranged along the first direction, and each of the slide seats has a base body and a spring plate mounted on the base body and releasably snapped into one of the tooth grooves, wherein the spring plate can adjust the position of the base body on the corresponding slide rail. The limb hot and cold compress device as described in claim 4 further includes a first leg mounted on the bottom of the seat plate, and the first leg can be operated to change between an expanded position that upwardly supports one end of the seat plate and a folded position that does not support the seat plate. The limb hot and cold compress device as described in claim 5 further includes a second leg arranged at the bottom of the seat plate and spaced apart from the first leg along the first direction. The second leg can be operated to change between an expanded position that upwardly supports the other end of the seat plate and a folded position that does not support the seat plate. A limb hot and cold compress device as described in claim 6, wherein the first leg and the second leg support the seat plate at different heights.
