本發明提供一種硬塗層組合物,包括:具有一環氧基的一烷氧基矽烷化合物或一聚矽氧烷樹脂、一具有異氰酸酯基的一丙烯酸酯化合物、一光聚合起始劑與一溶劑;一種應用其所形成之硬塗膜;與一種具有該硬塗膜之影像顯示裝置。根據本發明之硬塗膜可將捲曲的發生減至最小,同時具有優異的硬度。
Description
本發明關於一種硬塗層組合物及應用其之硬塗膜。本發明特別關於一種硬塗層組合物,其具有優異的硬度而能夠將捲曲的發生減至最小,一種應用其之硬塗膜,與一種具有此硬塗膜之影像顯示裝置。
硬塗膜已經被使用於保護各種影像顯示器的表面,包括一液晶顯示裝置(LCD)、一電致發光顯示裝置、一電漿顯示器(PD)、一場發射顯示器(FED)及其類似物的表面。
近來,透過使用一可撓性材料,例如塑膠,而非傳統無可撓性的玻璃基板,即使將一可撓性顯示裝置彎曲成如紙一般,可撓性顯示裝置仍可維持顯示性能,作為下一代顯示裝置備受矚目。在這方面需要一種硬塗膜,其不僅具有高硬度與良好的耐撞擊性,且具有合適的可撓性,使生產或使用期間不會在薄膜邊緣產生捲曲。
韓國專利申請案公告號10-2016-0057221揭露一種硬塗層組合物,其包含具有800至30,000重量平均分子量的一環氧矽氧烷樹脂、包含具有一環氧環己烷結構之一化合物的一交聯劑、與一光聚合起始劑。其中此硬塗層組合物展現高硬度。
然而,就此具有高硬度的硬塗層組合物來說,固化後會有捲曲發生的問題。
本發明之目的係提供一種硬塗層組合物,可用於一硬塗膜的生產,此硬塗膜能夠抑制捲曲的發生並具有優異的硬度。
本發明之另一目的係提供一硬塗膜,其使用此硬塗層組合物而形成。
本發明之再一目的係提供一種具有此硬塗膜的影像顯示裝置。

具有一異氰酸酯基的丙烯酸酯化合物(由化學式 1表示)是一組成物,用於使待塗佈膜層的捲曲最小化,且在硬塗層組合物100%總重量中可含有5至15%的重量,例如7至13%的重量。當丙烯酸酯化合物的重量低於5%,固化後可能難以抑制此硬塗膜的捲曲;當丙烯酸酯化合物的重量高於15%,固化後此硬塗膜的硬度與可撓性會下降。

在這裡所用的C1

的烷基指的是具有1至20個碳原子的一直鏈烴基或一支鏈烴基,其中的例子包括甲基、乙基、正丙基、異丙基、正丁基、異丁基、叔丁基、正戊基、正己基及類似物,但不限於此。
具有一環氧基的烷氧基矽烷化合物透過環氧基進行陽離子光聚合反應。因為陽離子光聚合反應呈現相對少的收縮且不會在表面上引起氧抑制反應,穩定的固化是可能的且固化比是優異的。此外,透過烷氧基矽烷化合物的溶膠-凝膠反應(sol-gel reaction)所產生的聚矽氧烷樹脂,由於矽氧烷網絡(siloxane network)的存在,具有陽離子光聚合快速發生且固化比優異的特性。此烷氧基矽烷化合物與具有一環氧基的聚矽氧烷樹脂係提供硬塗層組合物優異的硬度,也同時提供優異的可撓性。
具有一環氧基的烷氧基矽烷化合物由化學式 2表示,可選自由2-(3,4-環氧環己基)乙基三甲氧基矽烷(2-(3,4-epoxycyclohexyl)ethyltrimethoxysilane)、2-(3,4-環氧環己基)乙基三乙氧基矽烷(2-(3,4-epoxycyclohexyl)ethyltriethoxysilane)、3-環氧丙醇三甲氧基矽烷(3-glycidoxypropyl trimethoxysilane)與3-環氧丙醇三乙氧基矽烷(3-glycidoxypropyl triethoxysilane)所組成之群組。
具有一環氧基的聚矽氧烷樹脂可由烷氧基矽烷化合物的水解溶膠-凝膠反應產生。
具體來說,當作起始材料的烷氧基矽烷的一烷氧基被水解以形成一羥基。透過與一烷氧基或與另一烷氧基矽烷化合物的羥基的縮合反應,形成一矽氧烷鍵結,以產生一聚矽氧烷。
催化劑可較佳地使用以促進水解溶膠-凝膠反應。可用的催化劑包括酸催化劑,例如乙酸、磷酸、硫酸、鹽酸、硝酸、氯磺酸、對甲苯甲酸、三氯乙酸、聚磷酸、焦磷酸、碘酸、酒石酸、過氯酸;鹼催化劑,例如氨、氫氧化鈉、正丁胺、二正丁胺、三正丁胺、咪唑、過氯酸銨、氫氧化鉀、氫氧化鋇;離子交換樹脂,例如Amberite IPA-400(Cl),及類似物。催化劑的使用量無特別限制,可基於100重量份的烷氧基矽烷加入0.0001至10重量份的催化劑。
水解溶膠-凝膠反應能在室溫下攪拌6至144小時完成,且也可在60至80°C下攪拌12至36小時完成以加速反應速率並執行完整的縮合反應。
基於硬塗層組合物100%的總重量,烷氧基矽烷化合物或聚矽氧烷樹脂可含有20至70%的重量,例如25至65%的重量。當烷氧基矽烷化合物或聚矽氧烷樹脂的重量低於20%,將難以保全硬度;當烷氧基矽烷化合物或聚矽氧烷樹脂的重量高於70%,塗膜將會破裂而難以賦予彎曲特性。
本發明之一實施例中,光聚合起始劑用來光固化該硬塗層組合物,且只要是技術領域中常用的起始劑,可使用任何的起始劑,並無特別限制。
以光聚合起始劑來說,可使用一陽離子光聚合起始劑,其藉由活性能量射線(例如可見光、紫外光、X射線、電子束或類似物)的照射以產生陽離子物種(cationic species)或路易斯酸,可引發一陽離子光固化成分的聚合反應。
因為陽離子光聚合起始劑藉由光線催化,即使與一陽離子光固化成分混合,光聚合起始劑仍有優異的保存安定性與可使用性。經使用活性能量射線照射產生陽離子物種或路易斯酸的化合物例子包括鎓鹽,例如芳香族重氮鹽(aromatic diazonium salt)、芳香族錪鹽(aromatic iodonium salt)或芳香族鋶鹽;鐵-丙二烯絡合物(iron-allene complex)及類似物。其中,芳香族鋶鹽較佳,因為即使在約300nm的波長區,芳香族鋶鹽仍具有紫外線吸收性質,所以芳香族鋶鹽具有優異的固化力且能給予優異的塗膜性質。光聚合起始劑可單獨使用或使用以其中的二或更多個的一組合。
基於硬塗層組合物100%的總重量,光聚合起始劑可含有0.1至5%的重量。當光聚合起始劑的重量低於0.1%,固化速率是緩慢的,且當光聚合起始劑的重量高於5%,由於過度固化,可能會在硬塗層內發生裂縫。
本發明之一實施例中,只要是技術領域中常用的溶劑,可使用的溶劑沒有特別限制。溶劑的特定例子可包括醇類,例如甲醇、乙醇、異丙醇、丁醇、丙二醇甲氧基醇(propylene glycol methoxy alcohol)等;酮類,例如甲基乙基酮、甲基丁基酮、甲基異丁基酮、二乙酮、二丙基酮等;乙酸鹽,例如乙酸甲酯、乙酸乙酯、乙酸丁酯、丙二醇甲氧基乙酸(propylene glycol methoxy acetate)等;溶纖劑(cellosolves),例如甲基溶纖劑(methyl cellosolve)、乙基溶纖劑(ethyl cellosolve)、丙基溶纖劑(propyl cellosolve)等;烴基,例如正己烷、正庚烷、苯、甲苯、二甲苯等;及類似物。這些溶劑可單獨使用或以其中的二或更多個的組合使用。
基於硬塗層組合物100%的總重量,溶劑可含有5至90%的重量,20至70%較佳。如果溶劑的重量低於5%,黏度可能會上升而可使用性會下降。如果溶劑的重量高於90%,會難以調整塗膜的厚度,可能會發生乾燥不均勻,造成外觀瑕疵。
根據本發明之一實施例,硬塗層組合物可更包括無機奈米粒子以進一步改善機械性質。
無機奈米粒子可具有1至100nm的平均粒子直徑,5至50nm較佳。這些無機奈米粒子均勻形成在塗膜內且可以改善機械性質,例如耐磨性、抗刮性、與鉛筆硬度。如果粒子直徑小於以上範圍,組成物中會發生聚集作用,所以無法形成均勻的塗膜且無法有上述預期之效果。另一方面,如果粒子直徑超過上述範圍,不僅最後獲得的塗膜的光學性質可能會惡化,而且機械性質也可能會下降。
無機奈米粒子可以是金屬氧化物,其中之一可選自由氧化鋁(Al2
O3
)、二氧化矽(SiO2
)、氧化鋅(ZnO)、二氧化鋯(ZrO2
)、鈦酸鋇(BaTiO3
)、二氧化鈦(TiO2
)、五氧化二鉭(Ta2
O5
)、五氧化三鈦(Ti3
O5
)、氧化銦錫(ITO)、氧化銦鋅(IZO)、氧化錫銻(ATO)、氧化鋅鋁(ZnO-Al)、三氧化二鈮(Nb2
O3
)、氧化亞錫(SnO)與氧化鎂(MgO)。能特別使用氧化鋁(Al2
O3
)、二氧化矽(SiO2
)、二氧化鋯(ZrO2
)及類似物所組成之群組。
可直接生產或自市場購買無機奈米粒子。就商用產品來說,可使用分散於有機溶劑且濃度10至80%重量的產品。
基於硬塗層組合物100%的總重量,無機奈米粒子可含有5至15%的重量。當無機奈米粒子的重量低於5%,機械性質例如塗膜的耐磨性、抗刮性、與鉛筆硬度可能會不足,且當無機奈米粒子的重量高於15%,固化力會受到干擾,造成機械性質的惡化且外觀會不理想。
根據本發明之一實施例,除了上述組成物,該硬塗層組合物可更包括所屬領域中常用的組成物,例如一整平劑、一紫外線安定劑、一熱安定劑及類似物。
組成物的塗佈期間,使用整平劑可提供塗膜平滑性與塗覆性質。以整平劑來說,可選擇與使用市售的矽型、氟型與丙烯酸系聚合物型整平劑,可使用例如BYK-323、BYK-331、BYK-333、BYK-337、BYK-373、BYK-375、BYK-377、BYK-378(BYK Chemie,德國畢克化學公司),迪哥系列TEGO Glide 410、TEGO Glide 411、TEGO Glide 415、TEGO Glide 420、TEGO Glide 432、TEGO Glide 435、TEGO Glide 440、TEGO Glide 450、TEGO Glide 455、TEGO Rad 2100、TEGO Rad 2200N、TEGO Rad 2250、TEGO Rad 2300、TEGO Rad 2500(Degussa,德固賽公司),FC-4430與FC-4432(3M)、或類似物。基於硬塗層組合物100%的總重量,整平劑可含有0.1至1%的重量。
由於固化塗膜的表面會因為連續暴露於紫外線而分解,造成變色與容易碎裂,為阻擋或吸收此紫外線而保護硬塗層,可加入紫外線安定劑。紫外線安定劑可根據作用機制分類為吸收劑、消光劑(quencher)、與受阻胺光安定劑(HALS)。紫外線安定劑亦可根據化學結構分類為柳酸苯酯(吸收劑)、二苯甲酮(吸收劑)、苯并三唑(吸收劑)、鎳衍生物(消光劑)與自由基捕捉劑。本發明中,只要紫外線安定劑沒有對塗膜的初始顏色產生重大改變,沒有特別限制紫外線安定劑。
熱安定劑是能應用於商業的產品,且多酚型(第一級熱安定劑)、亞磷酸鹽型(第二級熱安定劑)、內酯型能單獨使用或使用其中的一組合。
使用紫外線安定劑與熱安定劑時,可透過適當調整其中的內容至不影響紫外線固化能力即可使用。
本發明之一實施例關於使用上述硬塗層組合物形成一硬塗膜。根據本發明之一實施例,硬塗膜的特色在於包含上述硬塗層組合物固化產品的塗層可以形成在一透明基板的一表面或兩表面之上。
以透明基板來說,可使用任何具有透明度的聚合物薄膜。根據分子量與薄膜的生產方法,可藉由一成膜方法或一擠壓方法生產聚合物薄膜。只要是市售的透明聚合物薄膜,沒有使用上的限制,其例子包括各種透明聚合物基板,例如三乙醯纖維素(triacetyl cellulose)、乙醯丁酸纖維素(acetyl cellulose butyrate)、乙烯-乙酸乙烯酯共聚物、丙醯基纖維素(propionyl cellulose)、丁醯基纖維素(butyryl cellulose)、乙醯丙醯纖維素(acetyl propionyl cellulose)、聚酯、聚苯乙烯、聚醯胺、聚醚醯亞胺、聚丙烯酸纖維(polyacryl)、聚醯亞胺、聚醚碸、聚碸、聚乙烯、聚丙烯、聚甲基戊烯、聚乙烯氯、聚偏二氯乙烯、聚乙烯醇、聚乙烯縮醛、聚醚酮、聚醚醚酮(polyether ether ketone)、聚甲基丙烯酸甲酯(polymethyl methacrylate)、聚對苯二甲酸乙二酯、聚對苯二甲酸丁二酯、聚萘二甲酸乙二酯、聚碳酸酯及類似物。
透明基板的厚度沒有特別限制,但可以是10至1000微米(µm),20至150微米(µm)較佳。當透明基板的厚度小於10微米(µm),薄膜的強度會下降,因此可使用性也會下降。當透明基板的厚度大於1000微米(µm),透明度會下降或硬塗膜的重量會上升。
可藉由將本發明之硬塗層組合物塗佈於一透明基板的一表面或兩表面之上,然後進行固化而形成一個塗層,以產生本發明之一實施例之硬塗膜。
根據本發明之一實施例,可藉由適當使用習知的塗佈程序(coating process),例如模塗機、氣刀、反向滾筒、噴塗(spray)、刀、鑄造(casting)、凹版、微凹版塗佈、旋塗等,將硬塗層組合物塗佈至透明基板之上。
將硬塗層組合物塗佈至透明基板上之後,可藉由10秒至1小時,更具體的說30秒至30分,在30至150℃的溫度下蒸發揮發性物質,以進行一乾燥製程,然後進行紫外線固化。紫外線固化可藉由0.01至10 J/cm2
、特別是0.1至2 J/cm2
的紫外線進行照射。
此時,塗層的形成厚度可以具體地為2至30微米(µm),更具體地為3至20微米(µm)。當塗層的厚度介於上述範圍,可製得優秀硬度的塗層。
本發明之一實施例關於具有上述硬塗膜的影像顯示裝置。舉例來說,本發明之硬塗膜可用來作為一影像顯示裝置的視窗,特別是可撓性顯示器的視窗。本發明之硬塗膜可進一步用來附加在偏光板、觸控感測器或類似物之上。
根據本發明之一實施例,硬塗膜可用於各種操作模式的液晶裝置(LCDs),包括反射式、透射式、半透射式、扭轉向列型(TN)、超扭轉向列型(STN)、光學補償彎曲排列型(OCB)、混合排列向列型(HAN)、垂直配向(VA)-型與平面內切換型(IPS)液晶裝置(LCDs)。此外,根據本發明之一實施例,硬塗膜可用於各種影像顯示裝置,包括電漿顯示器、場發射顯示器、有機EL顯示裝置、無機EL顯示裝置、電子紙及類似物。
以下,根據實施例、比較例與實驗例來更詳細說明本發明。所屬技術領域中具有通常知識者當知這些實施例、比較例與實驗例僅為說明之用,並非用以限定本發明。
實施例1至3與比較例1至2:硬塗層組合物的製備
製備硬塗層組合物的成分,如以下表1所示(單位: wt%)。

實驗例1:
將實施例與比較例中製備的硬塗層組合物塗佈於一聚醯亞胺膜(100微米(µm))的一表面上,於80°C溫度的烘箱(oven)乾燥5分鐘之後,以使硬塗層組合物會具有10微米(µm)的厚度。然後,將硬塗層組合物暴露於金屬鹵化物燈1.5J的光線下進行固化,以製備一硬塗膜。
根據下述方法,量測製備完成的硬塗膜的物理性質,其結果如表2所示。
(1)鉛筆硬度
藉由施加1公斤(kg)的負載與使用一鉛筆硬度計(PHT,Korea Sukbo Science)來量測鉛筆硬度。使用日本三菱商事株式会社(Mitsubishi Corporation)所製造的鉛筆,並對硬塗膜進行五次的鉛筆硬度之量測。當發現兩個或更多個的刮痕,此硬塗膜將判定為不良品,並記錄判定通過測試的最大硬度。
(2)黏著性
在薄膜的塗佈表面上,水平地和垂直地畫間隔1毫米(mm)的11條直線以創造100個方格。然後使用膠帶(日絆株式會社CT-24, Nichiban Co., Ltd., Japan) 以進行三次剝離試驗,進行三次百格試驗,並記錄平均值。黏著性紀錄如下。 黏著性 = n / 100 n:所有方格中,未脫落的方格數 100:總方格數 因此,當沒有方格脫落,將紀錄為100/100。
(3)捲曲
切割為10公分(cm)x10公分(cm)大小的每一個硬塗膜係在25 °C的溫度與48%相對溼度下置放24小時。然後,將每一個硬塗膜放置於平坦的玻璃板,並使膜的塗佈表面朝上,並評估硬塗膜每一邊緣從玻璃板底部所掀起的程度。結果如下所示。 <評估標準> ⊚:四個邊緣的平均高度為10毫米(mm)或以下 ◯:四個邊緣的平均高度大於10毫米(mm)且不大於20毫米(mm) Δ:四個邊緣的平均高度大於20毫米(mm) X: 四個邊緣完全被掀起,且薄膜捲曲成一圓筒形。
(4)抗刮性
藉由在750 g/cm2
的負載下用鋼絲絨 # 0000進行10次的往復動作來測試抗刮性,並以視覺判斷刮痕的數目。 <評估標準> ◎:10個或以下的刮痕 ◯:超過10個且不超過20個的刮痕 △:超過20個且不超過30個的刮痕 X: 超過30個的刮痕 【表2】
從表2可以看出,使用根據本發明實施例1至3之硬塗層組合物所製備的硬塗膜,不僅具有優異的硬度特性,且能抑制捲曲的發生。另一方面,本發明證實藉由使用比較例1與2之硬塗層組合物所產生的硬塗膜無法同時獲得硬度與捲曲特性。
雖然本發明已揭露上述實施例,但本發明所屬技術領域中具有通常知識者可知該些內容僅揭露較佳實施例,本發明之保護範圍並非侷限於此。本發明所屬技術領域中具有通常知識者,在不脫離本發明之精神和範圍內,當可作各種之更動與潤飾。

- 一種硬塗層組合物,包括:具有一環氧基的一烷氧基矽烷化合物或一聚矽氧烷樹脂、由下列化學式1表示的具有一異氰酸酯基的一丙烯酸酯化合物、一光聚合起始劑與一溶劑: [化學式1]其中,R1 是氫或C1 -C10 的一烷基,且R2 是C2 -C10 的一伸烷基。
