Abstract

The present invention provides an E-mail assistant and text-to-speech system having at least two kinds of operation modes, which are the agent character mode and direct text-to-speech mode. The user could switch between these operation modes on one's demand. As the agent character mode is selected, the inputted words could be spoken by certain virtual character. On the other hand, as the direct text-to-speech mode is selected, the input text words will be converted to audio output by PC's sound card or converted to a wav/MP3 audio file by the user's demand so that the user could listen later. This system mainly comprises a processing unit, a storage device having at least one module and an input unit.
