Abstract

A manual pump includes a cylindrical body and a piston rod movably fitted in the cylindrical body. The cylindrical body has a piston chamber formed in its hollow interior as a flowing channel for liquid, having an upper cap provided with a center hole and a liquid mouth in a sidewall, and an anti-leak gasket fixed on the center hole, and a nut screwing with the outer surface of the gasket. The body further has an automatic check valve fixed on a lower end and a valve base securing the automatic check valve with the body so liquid may flow into the piston chamber of the cylindrical body. The body further has a body base fitted around the intermediate portion for securing the pump half inserted in a liquid tank or the like. The piston rod is fitted movably in the piston chamber of the cylindrical body, connected with a handle fixed on the upper end of the piston rod exposed out of the cylindrical body for a user to hold to handle the manual pump, and a piston made of soft material is fixed with the lower end of the piston rod. When a user pushes down the piston rod in the cylindrical body with a hand holding the handle, the liquid located under the piston moves up through a gap caused by the piston disfigured by the pressure of the piston rod and the function of the automatic check valve, and when the user pulls up the piston rod, the liquid located on the piston may be pumped out of the liquid mouth by the piston recovered its original shape.
