200301911 ⑴ 玖、發明說明 【發明所屬之技術領域】 本發明係有關於用以形成電漿顯示器面板之介電體之 介電體用組成物、介電體用層合體及形成介電體之方法。 【先前技術】 電漿顯示器面板(以下簡稱PDP)係以設在2片玻璃 基板及基板間之阻壁(Barrier Rib)形成多數之微小空間 ,其內形成有螢光體、電極及無機材料所成之介電體,注 入放電氣體而構成。於PDP,各微小空間即一像素、電極 通電時透過介電體開始放電,如此激發之放電氣體返回基 態之際所產生之紫外線使螢光體發光。如此之PDP相較於 習知液晶顯示裝置、CRT顯示器,更適於大型畫面,已逐 步實用化。 微小空間之具體構造,向來多係多數平行溝槽並列之 條紋型。其中,於溝內底部及相向的二側面之三面形成螢 光體,由溝之二端導入放電氣體。但此一構造的發光亮度 有限。 因而近年來有於條紋型之各溝內分隔成細胞型之開發 。該細胞型者即可於各細胞底面及包圍底面之四側面總共 五面塗布螢光體,因螢光體之表面積加大,亮度可予提升 〇 然而,細胞型者有因阻壁之四面包覆’放電氣體之導 入通道難以確保之問題。故放圍繞各細胞之阻壁設高度差 -6 - (2) (2)200301911 ’由高度差所形成之間隙導入氣體之技術已見開發。但是 互相垂直的縱向及橫向阻壁,各係經利用光阻、噴砂之圖 型化過程所形成,製程繁雜,有效率之問題。 如此之PDP,尤以細胞型PDP,有不易確保放電氣體 導入用通道之問題。 本發明之目的即在謀求,能比習知方法更簡單形成放 電氣體之導入通道,提升電榮顯示器面板之製造效率。 【發明內容】 爲解決以上課題,本發明第一層面係,本發明之電漿 顯示器面板之介電體用組成物,係層合2層而成之電漿顯 示器面板之介電體用組成物,其特徵爲:第一層含無機粉 末、粘結樹脂及吸收特定波長之光的光吸收劑,第二層含 無機粉末、粘結劑樹脂、光聚合性單體及光聚合啓始劑。 本發明之電漿顯示器面板之介電體用組成物,可構成 第一層及第二層並含無機粉末及粘結樹脂,用以形成第一 層者更含吸收特定波長之光的光吸收劑,用以形成第二層 者更含光聚合性單體及光聚合啓始劑。 因此,層合第一層及第二層成爲介電體用層合體之狀 態下,透過光罩等選擇性照射上述特定波長於第二層時, 經第二層抵達第一層之光即由光吸收劑吸收。藉此可防抵 達第一層之光經第一層內之無機粉末散射後由任意方向再 射入第二層造成所謂之暈光作用(Halation),依光罩之形 狀形成所欲之潛像圖型。然後經第二層之顯像處理形成所 (3) (3)200301911 欲形狀之圖型,之後煅燒完全去除第一層及第二層之有機 成分,形成第一層與第二層所成之一體化介電體,於其表 面形成來自第二層之圖型的凹凸。 製造PDP之際,係以第二層之凸部爲阻壁,配合凹部 覆蓋各細胞,即可確保導入放電氣體於各細胞之通道。又 ,一倂煅燒第一層及第二層形成介電體即可簡便形成氣體 導入通道,可提升電漿顯示器面板之製程效率,縮短各面 板之生產週期。 在此,光吸收劑因係爲吸收可使第二層感光之波長的 光,若係無損於介電體之特性,其材質可係有機物或無機 物,亦可混合多種光吸收劑使用。 此一本發明之電漿顯示器面板之介電體用組成物,第 一層者,光吸收劑係以占無機粉末、粘結樹脂及光吸收劑 合計100重量份之0.01至30重量份爲佳,可充分發揮吸光 效果。 該介電體用組成物中,光吸收劑之比率不及〇.〇1重量 份時無法充分發揮吸光效果,第二層於圖型化後可能因暈 光作用而圖型紊亂。圖型若如此紊亂則無法充分確保放電 氣體之導入通路,或細胞之間連通而有意外之放電發生, 有造成放電電壓紊亂之可能性故不佳。又,若含超過30重 量份時,第二層底部之靈敏度低,第二層於圖型化之際可 能無法形成圖型,或不得良好之圖型形狀故不佳。 本發明第一層面係,本發明之電漿顯示器面板之介電 體用層合體’係層合2層而成之電漿顯示器面板之介電體 - 8- (4) (4)200301911 用層合體,其特徵爲:第一層含無機粉末、粘結樹脂及吸 收特定波長之光的光吸收劑’第二層含無機粉末、粘結樹 脂,光聚合性單體及光聚合啓始劑。 利用本發明之電槳顯示器面板之介電體用層合體,可 如同上述之第一層面,簡便形成氣體導入通路,可提升電 紫顯不器面板製程效率,縮短各面板之生產週期。 第一層面及第二層面之中,介電體用組成物、介電體 用層合體可有其它薄膜、薄板,例如第一層、第二層亦可 與支承膜、保護膜相貼層合。亦可係層合在構成PDP之玻 璃基板上。 本發明之第三層面係,形成本發明之電漿顯示器面板 之介電體之方法,係層合2層而成之電漿顯示器面板之形 成方法,其特徵爲:於玻璃基板上設含無機粉末、粘結樹 脂及吸收特定波長之光的光吸收劑之第一層,於其上設含 無機粉末、粘結樹脂、光聚合性單體及光聚合啓始劑之第 二層,其次,於第二層用上述特定波長之光選擇性照射後 顯像,形成特定形狀之圖型,一倂锻燒第一層及第二層。 根據本發明之電漿顯示器面板的介電體之形成方法, 如同上述第一及第二層面,可提升電漿顯示器面板之製程 效率,縮短各面板之生產週期。 於是,在介電體形成來自第二層之圖型的凹凸。製造 PDP之際,覆蓋組合來自第二層之介電體於各細胞,以其 凸部爲阻壁,凹部各對應於各細胞配合,即可確保導入放 電氣體於各細胞之通道。 -9- (5) (5)200301911 【實施方式】 發明之最佳實施形態 以下詳細說明本發明。 本發明中構成相關介電體用層合體之第一層及第二層 係以無機粉末及粘結樹脂爲必要成分。且第一層含吸收特 定波長之光的光吸收劑,第二層含光聚合性單體及光聚合 啓始劑。 第一層及第二層,係如上,由無機粉末、粘結樹脂及 光吸收劑、光聚合性單體及光聚合啓始劑所成,通常係將 此等與有機溶劑等混合,調製爲液狀或糊狀介電體用組成 物’以該組成物直接塗布於構成PDP之玻璃基板成層合膜 ,或以組成物製作薄膜,將該膜層合於玻璃基板上而形成 〇 桌一層及第一層所含之無機粉末,較佳者爲經锻燒可 玻璃化者,有例如PbO- Si02系、PbO- B2〇3- Si〇2系、 ZnO- Si〇2 系、ZnO· B2O3- Si〇2 系、BiO- Si〇2 系、BiO· B2O3- Si02 系、PbO- B2〇3- Si02-Al203 系、PbO- ZnO-B2O3- Si〇2系等。 又,含於第一層及第二層之粘結樹脂,可使用下列單 體之聚合或共聚物。又’此等單體可當作光聚合性單體混 合於第一層及第二層。 如此之單體,適用者有(甲基)丙烯酸酯、乙烯式不 飽和羧酸、其它可共聚之單體,有丙烯酸苯甲酯、甲基丙 烯酸苯曱酯、丙烯酸環己酯、甲基丙烯酸環己_、丙烯酸 -10- (6)200301911 本氧基 烯酸酯 基聚乙 酯、壬 甲基丙 烯酰氧 甲基丙 丙烯酸 正丙酯 異丙酯 丁酯、 酸三級 、丙烯 羥基丙 甲基丙

15- (11) (11)200301911 基)丙烷等。這些光聚合啓始劑可單獨或組合2種以上使用 〇 第二層因含光聚合性單體及光聚合啓始劑作爲必要成 分,於第一層上形成第二層後,僅作第二層之圖型化,最 終可形成具有來自第二層之圖型的凹凸之介電體。於是, 如後敘,將凸部重疊於阻壁部份,於各細胞上部形成「間 隙」,放電氣體即得以導入。 第一層亦更含光聚合性單體及光聚合啓始劑時,亦可 於第二層之曝光顯像前將第一層大致全面曝光。亦可作第 一層之圖型化,例如,將第一層之周圍形成特定圖型,使 其配合構成PDP之玻璃基板之外形形狀。 又,第一層含可吸收使第二層感光,即第二層所含之 光聚合啓始劑爲所光活化之波長的光之光吸收劑作爲必要 成分。 如此之光吸收劑較佳適用者係吸收3 0 0至4 5 0奈米波長 者,有例如偶氮系染料、胺基酮系染料、咕噸系染料、D奎 啉系染料、二苯基酮系染料、三啡系染料、苯并三唑系染 料、蒽醌系染料。 此等光吸收劑,在用以形成第一層之組成物中,係以 占無機粉末、粘結樹脂及光吸收劑合計1〇〇重量份之〇.〇1 至3 0重量份爲佳。 若不及〇 . 〇 1重量份,則無法充分發揮光吸收效果。又 若超過30重量份,則吸光過度,界面附近之第二層曝光不 足,會有剝離,圖型無法形成等。 -16- (12) (12)200301911 如此之於第一層含可吸收使含於第二層之光聚合啓始 劑光活化之波長的光之光吸收劑,即可於第一層、第二層 於層合狀態下使第二層曝光圖型化爲特定形狀之際,防止 進入第一層之光因第一層內部之無機粉末等而散射。 易言之,若不含光吸收劑,因第一層內之無機粉末等 粒子使光散射,第二層受到以不確定方向從第一層射入之 光的曝光,結果無法形成如光罩之正確圖型。爲其防止, 即須於锻燒第一層至透明玻璃狀以後,形成第二層、曝光 、煅燒,分2次煅燒。 但本發明中因第一層含光吸收劑,可僅作單次鍛燒, 形成所欲圖型。 本發明中,爲得介電體用層合體,調製第一層用,混 合上述有機溶劑、粘結樹脂、光吸收劑、無機粉末,必要 時之光聚合性單體及光聚合啓始劑之液態或糊狀介電體用 組成物(下稱第一組成物)。爲第二層,調製混合上述有 機溶劑、粘結樹脂、無機粉末、光聚合性單體及光聚合啓 始劑之液態或糊狀組成物(下稱第二組成物)。 又,第一組成物及第二組成物亦可含分散劑、賦粘劑 、可塑劑、表面張力調整劑、安定劑、消泡劑等各種添加 劑作爲任意成分。 第一組成物及第二組成物中,無機粉末之比例,可係 對所有有機成分(包含有機溶劑、粘結樹脂、光聚合性單 體、光聚合啓始劑等)100重量份,在100至1 000重量份。 各含於第一組成物及第二組成物之無機粉末、粘結樹 -17- (13) (13)200301911 脂及其它添加物’可係相同材料,亦可係不同。材料相同 時,各比例可各有別。 本發明有關之介電體用層合體,可用例如以下(丨) - 至(3)各方法製造。 (1) 塗布第一組成物於構成PDP之玻璃基板,去除溶 劑形成第一層,然後塗布第二組成物於第一層上,去除溶 劑形成第二層,得層合體。 (2) 預先去除第一組成物之溶劑而膜化,塗布第二組 馨 成物於其表面去除溶劑成膜,得多層之層合體。然後固定 於構成P D P之玻璃基板。 (3 )各去除第一組成物及第二組成物之溶劑而膜化, 各膜互相層合。然後固定於構成PDP之玻璃基板。或依序 層合膜化物於玻璃基板。 亦即,本發明之介電體用層合體可係於玻璃基板上直 接層合形成者,亦可於設置在玻璃基板前預先形成層合狀 態者。 _ 煅燒後來自介電體用層合體之第一層係以厚5至4〇微 米,第二層厚5至5〇微米爲佳。 設於玻璃基板上之前,第一層、第二層各予膜化時, ‘ 2層重疊層合膜化時,爲易於製膜、取用或保存之方便上 ,係以形成於支承膜上,覆以保護膜爲佳。 可用作支承膜、保護膜之樹脂有聚對酞酸乙二醇酯、 聚酯、聚乙烯、聚丙烯、聚苯乙烯、聚酰亞胺、聚乙嫌醇 、氯乙烯、聚氟乙烯等含氟樹脂、尼龍、纖維素等。又’ -18- (14) (14)200301911 爲提升脫模性,可作Si處理等之脫模處理。支承膜之厚度 係例如15至100微米,保護膜在例如15至60微米。 如上述,第一層中必要時可含光聚合性單體、光聚合 啓始劑,但在膜化後,設於玻璃基板上前後,以光聚合硬 化時,易有粘合力之下降,支承膜、保護膜剝離。又若含 如同第二層之光聚合性單體、光聚合啓始劑、煅燒時收縮 率可以均勻化。 將介電體用層合體設於玻璃基板上後,透過特定形狀 之光罩以特定波長之光使第二層曝光。然後,以溶劑等所 成之顯像液去除未曝光部份,形成特定圖型。然後,於 4 5 0 °C以上之溫度,一倂煅燒第一層及第二層,焚化所 有有機成分、無機成分玻璃化、形成介電體。於該介電體 表面形成來自第二層的圖型之凹凸。 形成第二層之圖型的光源波長可係300奈米至450奈米 ’具體而§ ’可用g線 (4 3 6奈米)、h線 (4 0 5奈米)、I線 ( 3 6 5奈米)。 於是,在製造PDP時,貼合附有形成凹凸之介電體( 凹凸介電體)的玻璃基板,及阻壁內側形成有螢光體等之 上述細胞型基板。此時以介電體之凸部爲阻壁,凹部配合 於細胞型上,即可於與各細胞之螢光體相向的介電體側形 成間隙,將放電氣體導入細胞內。 而本發明尤適於細胞型之PDP,當然亦可用於條紋型 PDP。 (15) (15)200301911 實施例 以下藉實施例更詳細說明本發明,但本發明不限於此 實施例1 1.第一層用之介電體用膜之製造 (1)形成第一層用之第一組成物之調製 混合壓克力樹脂甲基丙烯酸異丁酯/丙烯酸羥基乙酯 (80 /20,重量比)之共聚物 (Mw = 20000) 99.5重量份,紫 外線吸收劑偶氮染料(商品名染料SS,DAITO CHEMIX公 司製)0.5重量份及溶劑3-甲氧基-3-甲基丁醇100重量份, 以混合機混合3小時調製有機成分。 混練所得有機成分(固體成分5 0 % ) 2 0重量份,及玻 璃粉 (PbO- Si02系)80重量份,調製第一組成物玻璃糊組 成物。 (2)膜之製造 用唇式塗布機塗布(1 )之玻璃糊組成物於聚對献酸 乙二醇酯之支承膜上,塗膜於100 °C乾燥6分鐘,去除上 述溶劑,於支承膜上形成厚60微米之玻璃糊膜。 其次,於所得之玻璃糊膜上貼合保護膜’厚2 5微米之 聚乙烯膜,製造介電體用膜。 2 .第二層用之水顯像型感光性膜之製作 -20- (16) (16)200301911 (1) 第二層形成用第二組成物之調製 混合水溶性纖維素衍生物羥丙基纖維素22重量份,壓 克力樹脂苯乙烯/甲基丙烯酸羥基乙酯 (5 5 /4 5,重量比) 之共聚物 (Mw = 40000) 1 4重量份,光聚合性單體上述之2-甲基丙烯酰氧基乙基-2-羥基丙基酞酸酯63重量份,光聚 合啓始劑2,2-二甲氧基-2-苯基苯乙酮0.9重量份,紫外線 吸收劑上述之偶氮染料0.1重量份,溶劑3-甲氧基-3-甲基 丁醇100重量份,以混合機混合3小時調製有機成分。 有機成分內偶氮染料之添加,係爲防第二層內之暈光 作用,以形成精準之圖型。 混練所得有機成分(固體成分50重量%) 20重量份及 上述玻璃粉8 0重量份,調製第二組成物水顯像型感光玻璃 糊組成物。 (2) 膜之製作 用唇式塗布機塗布所得水顯像型感光玻璃糊組成物於 聚對酞酸乙二醇酯之支承膜上,塗膜於10 0 °c乾燥6分鐘 去除溶劑,形成厚40微米之感光玻璃糊膜於支承膜上。 其次,於感光玻璃糊膜上貼合保護膜’厚25微米之聚 乙烯膜,製造水顯像型感光膜。 3.介電體用層合體之製造 (1)介電體用膜之層合 剝除實施例1中1-(2)所得之介電體用膜之聚乙烯膜’ (17) (17)200301911 以熱輥層合機於105 °C層合於預先加熱至80 t,形成有 總線電極之玻璃基板。此時空氣壓力爲3公斤/平方公分 ,層合速度1.0米/分鐘。 其次,剝離支承膜聚對酞酸乙二醇酯。 (2)水顯像型感光膜之層合 剝除實施例1中2-(2)所得之水顯像型感光膜之聚乙烯 膜,以輥筒層合機於常溫層合於預先加熱至80 °C之實施 例1中上述3 - 甲基丁醇100重量份,以混合機混合3小時,調製有機成分 〇 而有機成分內偶氮染料之添加係爲防第二層內之暈光 作用,以形成精準之圖型。 混練所得有機成分(固體成分均50重量%) 20重量份 ,及上述玻璃粉80重量份,調製第二組成物水顯像型感光 玻璃糊組成物。 (2) 膜之製作 所得水顯像型感光玻璃糊膜組成物,用唇式塗布機塗 布於聚對酞酸乙二醇酯之支承膜上,塗膜於1 〇〇 °C乾燥6 分鐘去除溶劑,於支承膜上形成厚40微米之感光玻璃糊膜 (20) (20)200301911 其次,於感光玻璃糊膜上貼合保護膜,厚2 5微米之聚 乙烯膜,製造水顯像型感光膜。 . 3.介電體用層合體之製造 (1) 介電體用膜之層合 剝除實施例1中1-(2)所得之介電體用膜之聚乙烯膜, 以熱輥層合機於105 °C層合於預先加熱至80 t,形成有 鲁 總線電極之玻璃基板。此時之空氣壓力爲3公斤/平方公 分,層合速度1.0米/分鐘。 玻璃基板上之介電體用膜層用超高壓水銀燈以1 〇〇毫 焦耳/平方公分之照射量作紫外線曝光。藉此,以2,2-二 甲氧基-2-苯基苯乙酮爲啓始劑聚合2 -甲基丙烯酰氧基乙 基-2-羥丙基酞酸酯。經聚合硬化而粘合性下降,支承膜 變得易於剝除。 其次,剝離支承膜聚對酞酸乙二醇酯。 鲁 -25- 1 水顯像型感光膜之層合 剝除實施例2中2-(2)所得之水顯像型感光膜之聚乙烯 * 膜’以_昆筒層合機於常溫層合於預先加熱至8 〇 °c之實施 例1中上述3-(1)中所得之玻璃基板上之介電體用膜層表面 。此時之空氣壓力爲3公斤/平方公分,層合速度1.〇米/ 分鐘。 藉由以± ’即於玻璃基板上形成來自介電體用膜之第 (21) (21)200301911 一層,及來自水顯像型感光膜之第二層所成之本發明之介 電體用層合體。此一階段中,介電體用層合體(水顯像型 感光膜)之表面係覆蓋有支承膜。 4.介電體用層合體之評估及介電體之製造 實施例2中3-(2)中所得之玻璃基板上的介電體用層合 體之水顯像型感光膜,透過形成有特定圖型之試驗用圖型 光罩,用超高壓水銀燈以300毫焦耳/平方公分之照射量 作紫外線曝光。繼之剝離支承膜聚對酞酸乙二醇酯。 隨後用液溫30 °C之水,以3公斤/平方公分之噴射壓 力,由噴嘴噴水30秒作噴霧顯像,去除水顯像型感光膜之 非曝光部份形成圖型。 對所得圖型作圖型形狀評估,知形成之線條中最小線 寬爲60微米。於PDP,現況係數百微米程度之精度即可, 故可謂已得十分良好之圖型。 其次,形成圖型後,以升溫速率10 °C /分鐘加熱, 然後於5 80 °C保持30分鐘作煅燒處理。結果得良好之介電 體圖型。 [比較例] 1.介電體用膜之製造 不混合紫外線吸收劑偶氮染料,改用2,2-二曱氧基-2-苯基苯乙酮4 1重量份以外,如同實施例2中1 - (1 ),調製感 光玻璃糊組成物。 -26- (22) (22)200301911 其次,用該感光玻璃糊組成物,如同上述1 _ (2)製造3 層構造之介電體用膜。 2. 水顯像型感光膜之製造 完全如同實施例2之2 - (1 )、( 2 ),製造3層構造之水顯 像型感光膜。 3. 介電體用層合體之製造 Φ 完全如同實施例2之3 - (1 )、( 2),於玻璃基板上形成介 電體用層合體。 4. 介電體用層合體之評估及介電體之製造 比較例之3中所得,玻璃基板上之介電體用層合體之 水顯像型感光膜’透過形成有特定圖型之試驗用圖型光罩 ,用超高壓水銀燈以1 0 0毫焦耳/平方公分之照射量作紫 外線曝光。隨之剝離支承膜聚對敝酸乙二醇酯。 · 繼之用液溫3 0 °C之水以3公斤/平方公分之噴射壓力 ’由噴嘴噴水3 0秒作噴霧顯像,去除水顯像型感光膜之非 曝光部份,形成圖型。 - 對所得圖型作圖型形狀評估,於圖型之邊緣部見有參 . 差。此應係由於介電體用膜不含紫外線吸收劑偶氮染料, 水藏像型感光膜在透過光罩曝光時,第一層介電體用膜內 有糸外線射入,經玻璃粉等散射,而終於無法獲致一如光 罩之形狀的高精度曝光。 -27- (23) (23)200301911 其次,形成圖型後,以升溫速度1 0 t /分鐘加熱, 之後保持於5 80 °C 30分鐘作煅燒處理。當然,煅燒後_ 型可見有參差。 產業上之利用可能性。 根據本發明,形成至少由含無機粉末及粘結樹脂的第 一層及第二層所構成,第二層含光聚合性單體及光聚合啓 始劑之介電體用層合體,用以形成第一層之介電體用組成 物更含有吸收上述特定波長之光的光吸收劑。因此,疊合 第一層及第二層形成介電體用層合體之狀態下,透過光章 等用上述特定波長作第二層之感光形成圖型時,經第二層 抵達第一層之光由光吸收劑吸收。藉此,可防進入第一層 之光因第一層內的無機粉末等之散射再由任意方向射入第 二層,以依光罩形狀形成所欲之圖型。 然後,於第二層形成所欲形狀之圖型,隨之煅燒去除 第一層及第二層之所有有機成分得介電體,即於其表面形 成來自第二層的圖型之凹凸。製造PDP之際,例如,以來 自第二層之介電體覆蓋各細胞而組合,此時以凹凸之凸部 爲阻壁’凹部對應各細胞予以配合,即可於各細胞確保導 入放電氣體之通道。 如此可形成導入放電氣體於PDP內之通道,並且,將 第一層及第二層一倂煅燒形成介電體,可簡便形成導入通 路,提升電獎顯不器面板之製程效率。 -
