State of the Art Canning is a method developed by humans to preserve food without losing its nutritional value. Fruits and vegetables harvested at the appropriate ripeness are cleaned, sorted and blanched according to the technique. They are filled into suitable containers in a filling liquid, hermetically sealed and made resistant to heat treatment. Depending on the type of canning, salt, sugar, citric acid, ascorbic acid, etc. can be used in addition to water in the filling liquid. In general, tin cans and glass jars are used in canning production. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle requires adequate and balanced nutrition. One of the prerequisites for adequate and balanced nutrition is ensuring variety in the foods consumed, taking into account the four main food groups. Especially during the winter months, the consumption of canned foods increases in order to provide variety in foods, increase their taste and appearance, and save time and money in food preparation and cooking. In these days following the summer season, when vegetables and fruits are abundant, foods such as vegetable and fruit preserves and pickles are prepared for consumption in winter. Ease of consumption and preservation after preparation is the second important factor. The continuous contact of canned vegetables or fruits, and various food items such as cheese, with oxygen after opening causes mold and bacteria formation on the upper layers. During use, open metal packaging must be secured with a reusable cap. However, the production of plastic caps often results in them separating and deforming during transport, preventing them from adequately preserving the metal packaging and hindering food producers from properly operating their packaging automation systems. The Purpose of the Invention: This invention addresses the aforementioned requirements, eliminates all disadvantages, and offers additional advantages by applying a plastic cap to metal packaging. The main objective of the invention is to prevent permanent deformation of the cap by ensuring that the plastic caps interlock and center each other during production and subsequent transport. Another objective of the invention is... The invention aims to support food manufacturers in carrying out automation processes (automatic capping, etc.) that connect metal packaging to lids more easily and smoothly. Another purpose of the invention is to preserve food products in a healthier way. Figures to Aid Understanding the Invention: To best understand the structure of the invention and its advantages with additional elements, it should be evaluated together with the figures explained below. Figure 1: Linear view of the plastic lid that is the subject of the invention. Figure 2: Combined line view of the plastic lids that are the subject of the invention. The drawings do not necessarily need to be scaled, and details that are not necessary for understanding the invention may be omitted. Furthermore, elements that are at least largely identical or have at least largely identical functions are indicated with the same number. Part References. 11. Plastic cap 12. Cap seal 13. Cap slot Detailed Description of the Invention The invention relates to a plastic cap (10) produced for metal packaging in the food sector, which can be nested together to form a strong structure and does not separate from each other during transport. Figure 1 shows the linear view of the plastic cap (10) that is the subject of the invention. On the upper surface of the aforementioned plastic cap (10), there is a cap slot (12) which ensures that other plastic caps (10) stay in place when stacked on top of each other. During stacking, the cap base (13) of the aforementioned plastic cap (10) ensures that the plastic cap (10) underneath it is centered and sits in the cap slot (12). The cover seal (11) located on the top of the plastic cover (10) and the centering figure (12) in the cover slot wrap around the cover base (13) of the top cover from the inside, preventing the plastic covers (10) from moving outwards from the center and sliding over each other during transport. Figure 2 shows the linear view of the plastic covers (10) stacked on top of each other. During the stacking of the covers, the strength is ensured by the top cover base (13) fitting into the cover seal (11) and cover slot (12) on the bottom covers. The plastic covers (10) maintain their smooth form and mechanical rigidity without deformation during production and during post-production transportation. Thus, a plastic lid (10) was developed which supports more efficient operation in the automation of closing lids on metal packaging in food manufacturing companies and preserves food in a healthier way.
