Description

In the proposed device for squeezing the rivets of the barrel core, in order to put the upper hoop on it, a series of arc legs on the sliders are applied, which receive return movements in the bed guide with the help of lever gear from the nut moved up or down when the screw interacting with it is rotated.

A screw 2 is fastened on the frame of the proposed fixture (Fig. 1, 2), with which the nut 5 interacts, moving along the screw 2 as it rotates in the guide 7. The levers of the transfer gear 4.5 are connected with the nut 5, sliders 5 which can be reciprocally moved along the bed guides. With the sliders 5 of the linkage 4, 5, arc paws 6 are connected to compress the rivets of the collecting barrel.

The worker standing at the corner 8 of the bed of the fixture installs the rivets of the assembled barrel to the movable platform 9, which he then raises by means of a lever 10 connected to the platform 9 by a corresponding gear. When lifting the platform 9, the barrel frame enters between the open arc legs 6. Then, when the nut 3 is moved along the screw 2, the legs 6 come together and the barrel frame is compressed, and the worker standing at the corner of the bed frame 11 puts the hoop on the compressed frame. After paws 6 are again dispersed, pad 9 is lowered and the barrel with the worn area is removed, and a new core is installed instead. The process described below is repeated.
