Description

To replace manual labor with mechanical when stringing leaves onto a cord, in order to dry them, we offer a machine. It consists of a table from where the worker lowers the leaves picked up by the legs of the moving conveyor, bringing the sheet to the needle, supported by several clips that open at different times and periodically, in order to pass the leaves through the needle, by pressing the conveyor on the claws of the clamps.

Said tobacco stringing machine consists of a table 1, on which tobacco leaves are subjected to stringing. From the table 1, the worker lowers the leaves evenly, which are picked up by the legs, 2 moving chain conveyor 3 and brings the leaves to the needle 4 (Fig. 1 and 2). Needle 4 is pointed at one end, and at the other end is provided with an eyelet for securing the cord; Guides 5 (Fig. 3) serve to center the position of the stem.

By design, the machine can be driven manually by means of a flywheel 10, a foot actuator 11 or by means of mechanical thrust by using the flywheel 10 as a pulley and gears to adjust the speed (Fig. 1).
