Description

The proposed method aims to obtain a drying oil surrogate, instead of the well-known but not widely used other surrogates, for example, the product of metal oxide on rosin when heated, or the product of heating rosin with glycerol and metal oxides or naphthenic acids in the form of their salts and so forth

The recommended method is based on heating pine tar with metal oxides, especially with lead oxide, preferably in the presence of catalysts, for example, manganese salts or copper salts. According to the author, the mass thus obtained is resistant to atmospheric phenomena and acid pairs, is easily diluted with turpentine or other organic solvent, mixes well with mineral paints and gives a layer of durability equal to drying oil. The formation of such a compound is explained in part by the author.

образованием свинцовых соединений абиетиновых кислот, а отчасти уплотнением и окислением под вли нием вход щих веществ.the formation of lead compounds of abietic acids, and partly by compaction and oxidation under the influence of incoming substances.

Example:

In the boiler placed 1 pound 20 pound, pine tar and f. lead oxides, are heated above 150 ° for about 3 hours, until the mass reaches the desired consistency and is added, on cooling, to 100, 3 pounds of plain turpentine. Exit about 4 p. 20 f.

SUBJECT OF INVENTION.

Способ получени  суррогата олифы, отличающийс  тем, что сосновый деготь нагревают выше 150° со свинцовым глетом или сол ми марганца или меди и полученную массу разбавл ют скипидаром или другим органическим растворителем .The method of obtaining a drying oil surrogate, characterized in that pine tar is heated above 150 ° C with lead gall or manganese or copper salts and the resulting mass is diluted with turpentine or other organic solvent.
