Abstract

The plant is placed on a conveyor and aligned so that a lower starting point for waxing the stem is defined. After removing dirt and earth the plant is brought to a waxing station (3) where the part of the plant which is to be waxed is passed into a container and is waxed using an upward stream of wax. The plant is then brought to a place where the waxed area is cooled and the plants are then counted, bundled up and placed in sacks. The device comprises a container with branch deflectors and a wax supply device connected to a pump for sending the molten wax to the surface of the container.
