Abstract

A lock comprises a lock case (1) with a lock cylinder (5) and a cavity (8). Into this cavity, an elongate locking pin (2) having a locking portion (14) at one end is insertable in its longitudinal direction, until its locking portion is positioned inwardly of a locking portion (13) arranged in the cavity. Subsequently, the locking pin is movable in lateral direction to a locking position in which its locking portion, by engaging the locking portion of the cavity, prevents the locking pin from being pulled out of the cavity. A latch bolt (6) is turnably mounted in the cavity by means of the lock cylinder. The latch bolt allows in one turning position the locking pin to be positioned in the locking position and in another turning position which is arrestable by means of the lock cylinder, an arresting portion (18) arranged on the latch bolt engages the locking pin so as to prevent it from being moved away from the locking position in a direction opposed to the above-mentioned lateral direction.
