Chain lock suitable for bicycles comprises a chain 1 equipped at one extremity with a locking device 2 which can cooperate with any link of the chain, characterised in that the said locking device comprises a housing 2 fixed to the said extremity of the chain, a dog 78 protruding from the said housing and equipped with a nose 8, a bolt 12 mounted for sliding parallel with the said dog and adjacent to the said dog, and a security lock barrel operated by key 5 rotating in the said housing and controlling the displacement of the said sliding bolt. <IMAGE>
