Abstract

SUMMARY Method for controlling the function of a centrifugal pump when pumping liquids or suspensions containing gas by separating the gas into a bubble in the pump central part and discharging gas at a rate depending on the differential pressure between the entering liquid or suspension and the discharged gas so that a suitable part of the pump impeller wings are engaged in pumping in order to reach a desired pump flow capacity and/or head.
