Abstract

Loading and unloading unit, forming a passage connecting a lorry to a building and providing protection against the elements. The loading and unloading unit can be manufactured as a fully self-contained and movable unit which can be used universally and more or less independently of the type of vehicle. According to the invention, the loading and unloading unit has a base with a box-type housing mounted on it. The base is designed to act as a foundation and base for the unit to which the invention relates and to hold the box-type housing in place, so that it and the base form a movable unit. The box-type casing has apertures to connect buildings with the inside of the vehicle, and a gate and a weather seal connected to the vehicle are arranged at one of these apertures. In addition, the base has a vertically adjustable load surface, the underside of which has a free space pointing towards the vehicle to accommodate an elevating platform in the vehicle. The load surface is designed as an elevating platform for moving between the levels of the vehicle and the building.
