The novel fuel contains a) 45 to 98.5% by weight of an automotive gasoline or of a fuel oil or gas oil, b) 1 to 40% by weight of ethanol hydrate having a water content of 1 to 20% by weight, and c) 0.5 to 15% by weight of at least one additive which is a mixture containing at least butanol and acetone.
