Abstract

Adjustable fastening device for rucksack shoulder straps (3), for adjusting the distance between the upper and lower grip of the straps (3) to the crest of the rucksack for persons of different sizes ensures correct resting of the rucksack at the hip and thereby correct arrangement of the load to be carried. The fastening device comprises at least two loop ribbons vertically secured to the rucksack crest, and one shackle (4) secured to the upper end of each shoulder strap (3). The shackles (4) may be threaded into the loop ribbon to the best suitable position for the person to carry the rucksack. The shoulder straps (3) and thereby the cushion (7) thus always will rest across the shoulder portion of the person to carry the rucksack. <IMAGE>
