Abstract

The invention relates to a method for packaging fragile articles in a packaging unit of paperboard, preferably corrugated paperboard, said method being characterised in that elements (8) of impact-damping material are fastened to the panels (4) of a flat packaging unit blank (2) of paperboard, said blank having panels (4) being adapted to cover the sides of the article, fastener tabs (6) being adapted to bear on and be fastened to the panels (4) and folding lines (10, 12) delimiting the panels (4) and the fastener tabs (6) from each other, and in that the packaging unit blank (2) is subsequently erected and formed around the fragile article (32). The invention also relates to a packaging unit blank and to a packaging unit for fragile articles.
