Abstract

The invention relates to a solid bio-fuel used for producing heat energy. According to the invention, the bio-fuel is made of Cynara cardunculus (wild artichoke) biomass having a content of 15% seeds representing an oil content of 3...7%, being presented as pellets with a length larger than the diameter, with a cross-section of less than 1.2 cm in diameter and of less than 5 cm in length, having a humidity of up to 8%, and a caloric power of 16...18 Mj/kg, or as briquettes having a length larger than the diameter, a circular cross-section of less than 10 cm in diameter and of less than 25 cm in length and a caloric power of 20...22 Mj/kg.
