Abstract
La materia objeto de la presente invencion trata sobre las disposiciones de montaje del catalizador para un sistema de escape de vehiculos de multiples ruedas. La materia objeto de la presente invencion propone una disposicion para incrementar la capacidad de conversion de convertidores cataliticos que es, en general, directamente proporcional al tamano del catalizador, mediante la implementacion de dos convertidores cataliticos en diferentes ubicaciones. El convertidor catalitico primario esta ubicado dentro de la primera seccion del silenciador y el ensamble de convertidor catalitico secundario esta ubicado en el tubo de escape a una distancia predeterminada de la unidad de motor y de la entrada de silenciador. Ademas, se abordan varios desafios de diseno asociados con un vehiculo de multiples ruedas para la implementacion de lo anterior.The subject matter of the present invention deals with catalyst mounting arrangements for an exhaust system of multi-wheeled vehicles. The subject matter of the present invention proposes an arrangement to increase the conversion capacity of catalytic converters that is, in general, directly proportional to the size of the catalyst, by implementing two catalytic converters in different locations. The primary catalytic converter is located within the first section of the muffler and the secondary catalytic converter assembly is located in the exhaust pipe at a predetermined distance from the engine unit and the muffler inlet. In addition, various design challenges associated with a multi-wheeled vehicle are addressed for the implementation of the above.
