Abstract

La presente invencion se refiere a sistemas satelitales y, mas particularmente, a la provision de un sistema y metodo satelital para aplicaciones de comunicaciones, con cobertura global. Se ha descubierto un metodo optimo para proporcionar conectividad de banda ancha global que utiliza dos constelaciones LEO diferentes con enlaces inter-satelitales entre los satelites en cada constelacion y enlaces inter-satelitales entre las constelaciones. La primera constelacion se despliega en una orbita LEO polar con una inclinacion preferida de 99,5 grados y una altitud preferida de 1000 km. La segunda constelacion se despliega en una orbita LEO inclinada con una inclinacion preferida de 37,4 grados y una altitud preferida de 1250 km.
