SE REFIERE A METODOS Y REACTIVOS PARA LA IDENTIFICACION DEL ORIGEN DE UN CARCINOMA DE ORIGEN PRIMARIO DESCONOCIDO (CPD) BASADA EN LA DETERMINACION DEL PERFIL DE METILACION EN EL GENOMA DEL CPD, EN DONDE EL METODO COMPRENDE: A) DETERMINAR EL PERFIL DE METILACION EN UNA REGION SELECCIONADA DE UN ADN AISLADO DE DICHO CPD; Y B) COMPARAR EL PERFIL DE METILACION DE DICHA REGION SELECCIONADA CON EL PERFIL DE METILACION DE LA MISMA REGION EN UNA MUESTRA DE ADN AISLADA DE UN TUMOR PRIMARIO. TAMBIEN SE REFIERE A i) METODOS PARA SELECCIONAR UNA TERAPIA ADECUADA PARA UN PACIENTE QUE PADECE UN CDP, ii) METODOS PARA LA MEDICINA PERSONALIZADA DE PACIENTES QUE PADECEN UN CPD BASANDOSE EN EL USO DE UN TRATAMIENTO QUE SEA ADECUADO PARA EL TUMOR PRIMARIO DEL QUE DERIVA EL CPD, iii) KITS QUE COMPRENDEN LOS REACTIVOS ADECUADOS PARA REALIZAR LOS METODOS ANTERIORES, Y iv) SISTEMAS Y PROGRAMAS INFORMATICOS PARA IMPLEMENTAR DICHOS METODOSIT REFERS TO METHODS AND REAGENTS FOR THE IDENTIFICATION OF THE ORIGIN OF A CARCINOMA OF UNKNOWN PRIMARY ORIGIN (CPD) BASED ON THE DETERMINATION OF THE METHYLATION PROFILE IN THE GENOME OF THE CPD, WHERE THE METHOD INCLUDES: A) DETERMINING THE MEASUREMENT PROFILE SELECTED REGION OF A DNA ISOLATED FROM SAID CPD; AND B) COMPARE THE METHYLATION PROFILE OF SAID SELECTED REGION WITH THE METHYLATION PROFILE OF THE SAME REGION IN A DNA SAMPLE ISOLATED FROM A PRIMARY TUMOR. IT ALSO REFERS TO i) METHODS TO SELECT AN APPROPRIATE THERAPY FOR A PATIENT SUFFERING FROM PDC, ii) METHODS FOR PERSONALIZED MEDICINE FOR PATIENTS SUFFERING FROM CPD BASED ON THE USE OF A TREATMENT THAT IS SUITABLE FOR THE PRIMARY TUMOR FROM WHICH IT IS DERIVED THE CPD, iii) KITS THAT INCLUDE THE ADEQUATE REAGENTS TO PERFORM THE ABOVE METHODS, AND iv) COMPUTER SYSTEMS AND PROGRAMS TO IMPLEMENT SAID METHODS
