Claims (11)
- 알콜-가솔린 혼합물이 공급되게 되는 연소기관의 작동변수를 자동 조절하기 위한 방법에 있어서, 엔진에 공급되는 혼합물을 관통하여 광비임을 방출시키고 상기 혼합물에 의해 광비임이 흡수되는 정도는 700 내지 1700나노미터에 일치하는 파장범위에서 선택되는 파장대에서 측정되며 엔진의 작동변수의 조절은 상기와 같이 측정된 흡수도의 함수로써 제어되게 되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 흡수도가 900 내지 1000나노미터 사이의 파장에 대해 측정되게 되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 흡수도가 1450 내지 1600나노미터 사이의 파장에 대해 측정되게 되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 알콜-가솔린 혼합물과 같은 가솔린을 포함하는 혼합물이 공급되는 엔진과 같은 연소유니트의 공연비, 점화진각 또는 미연소개스의 재순환율과 같은 하나이상의 작동변수를 자동 조절하기 위해 사용되는 장치에 있어서, 상기 연소 유니트에 공급되는 혼합물이 유동하게 되는 셀을 관통하여 제1광비임을 방출시키는 광원, 및 700 내지 1700나노미터의 파장 범위에서 선택되는 파장에 대해 셀을 관통하여 유동하는 상기 혼합물에 의해 상기 비임이 흡수되는 정도를 측정하기 위한 수단으로 구성되는 센서가 제공되며, 상기 측정수단은 측정된 흡수도의 함수로서 신호를 전송하게 되는 것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
- 제4항에 있어서, 상기 측정수단이 상기 측정수단에 의해 전송된 상기 신호의 함수로서 엔진의 하나 이상의 작동변수를 조절하기 위한 수단에 연결되는 것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
- 제5항에 있어서, 상기 센서가 연료 저장기를 엔진에 연결하는 공급파이프내에서 연료펌프와 일련하여 배설되고 상기 저장기는 저장기내 연료의 증가를 알리는 신호를 생성하기 위해 사용되는 연료 게이지로 구성되며, 저장기로의 복귀 파이프를 향한 바이패스 밸브는 상기 공급 파이프내에서 배설되어 상기 바이패스를 제어하기위한 수단에 연결되고 상기 제어수단은 저장기내의 연료 체적의 증가를 알리는 상기 게이지에 의해 송달된 제어신호를 수납하자마자 주어진 시간동안 작동하기 위해 사용되게 되는 것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
- 제4항에 있어서, 상기 연소유니트에 공급되는 혼합물이 관통하여 유동하게 되는 측정 셀을 통해 광비임이 통과한 후에 상기 광원에 의해 방출된 동 광비임의 일부를 수납하는 제1광도계 및 상기 광 비임이 제2기준 셀을 통과한 후 상기 광원에 의해서 방출된 광 비임이 일부를 수납하는 제2광도계로 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
- 제7항에 있어서, 상기 기준 셀이 측정 셀과 동일하게 되고 기준 액체를 포함하게 되는 것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
- 제8항에 있어서, 상기 기준 유체가 알콜인 것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
- 제7항에 있어서, 광원에 의해서 방출된 광 비임을 분리시키기 위한 판이 제공되는 것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
- 제7항에 있어서, 입사 광 비임을 두개 이상의 다른 비임들로 분리시키기 위한 수단으로 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
