Description
도 2는 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 배터리 관리 장치와 이를 포함하는 배터리 팩의 구성과 회로 연결을 개략적으로 도시한 회로도이다.
도 3 및 도 4는 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 배터리 관리 장치가 부하의 내부의 연결 상태를 진단하기 위하여 배터리 모듈의 출력 전압을 감압 전압으로 감압시키는 과정을 설명하기 위한 회로도이다.
도 5 내지 도 8은 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 배터리 관리 장치가 프리차지를 수행하기 위하여 프리차지부에 구비된 복수의 스위치를 제어하는 과정을 설명하기 위한 회로도이다.

Claims (9)
- 배터리 모듈, 부하와 연결된 제1 충방전 단자, 상기 부하와 연결된 제2 충방전 단자, 상기 배터리 모듈의 양극 단자와 상기 제1 충방전 단자 사이에 연결된 제1 메인 릴레이 및 상기 배터리 모듈의 음극 단자와 상기 제2 충방전 단자 사이에 연결된 제2 메인 릴레이를 구비하는 배터리 팩을 관리하는 배터리 관리 장치에 있어서,
복수의 스위치를 구비하고, 상기 제1 메인 릴레이와 병렬로 연결되며, 상기 제2 메인 릴레이와 상기 제2 충방전 단자 사이에 연결된 프리차지부;
상기 배터리 모듈의 출력 전압을 감압 전압으로 감압하여 상기 제1 충방전 단자 및 상기 제2 충방전 단자 사이에 출력하도록 상기 복수의 스위치를 제어하는 제어부; 및
상기 감압 전압을 인가받는 부하에 흐르는 전류의 부하 전류값에 기초하여 상기 부하 내부의 연결 상태를 진단하는 진단부를 포함하고,
상기 프리차지부는,
상기 제1 메인 릴레이와 병렬로 연결된 라인 상에 구비되고, 서로 직렬로 연결된 제1 스위치 및 제2 스위치;
상기 라인 상에 구비되어 상기 제1 스위치 및 상기 제2 스위치와 직렬로 연결되고, 양단 중 일단이 상기 제1 메인 릴레이와 상기 제1 충방전 단자 사이에 연결된 인덕터; 및
상기 제1 스위치 및 상기 제2 스위치 사이에 일단이 연결되고, 상기 제2 메인 릴레이와 제2 충방전 단자 사이에 타단이 연결된 제3 스위치를 포함하며,
상기 제어부는,
상기 제1 메인 릴레이는 오프 상태이고, 상기 제2 메인 릴레이 및 상기 제2 스위치는 온 상태일 때, 상기 제1 스위치 및 상기 제3 스위치의 동작 상태가 서로 상이하도록 교대로 제어하여 상기 감압 전압을 출력시키도록 구성된 것을 특징으로 하는 배터리 관리 장치.

상기 제1 스위치는,
상기 제1 메인 릴레이와 상기 양극 단자 사이의 제1 노드에 일단이 연결되도록 구성되고,
상기 제2 스위치는,
상기 제1 스위치의 타단에 일단이 연결되도록 구성되고,
상기 인덕터는,
상기 제2 스위치의 타단에 일단이 연결되고, 상기 제1 메인 릴레이와 상기 제1 충방전 단자 사이의 제2 노드에 타단이 연결되도록 구성되고,
상기 제3 스위치는,
상기 제1 스위치와 상기 제2 스위치 사이의 제3 노드에 일단이 연결되고, 상기 제2 메인 릴레이와 상기 제2 충방전 단자 사이의 제4 노드에 타단이 연결된 되도록 구성된 것을 특징으로 하는 배터리 관리 장치.

상기 진단부는
상기 부하에 상기 감압 전압이 인가된 경우, 상기 부하 전류값과 미리 설정된 기준 전류 범위를 비교하고, 비교 결과 상기 부하 전류값이 상기 미리 설정된 기준 전류 범위에 포함되면, 상기 부하 내부의 연결이 끊어진 것으로 진단하는 배터리 관리 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,
상기 제2 메인 릴레이와 상기 제2 충방전 단자 사이에 연결된 진단 저항부를 더 포함하고,
상기 진단부는
상기 진단 저항부의 양단 전압값의 변화에 기초하여 상기 부하 내부의 연결 상태를 진단하는 배터리 관리 장치.
- 제5항에 있어서,
상기 진단부는
상기 부하에 상기 감압 전압이 인가된 초기의 양단 전압값이 미리 설정된 감소율 이상으로 감소하면 상기 부하 내부의 연결 상태에 이상이 발생한 것으로 진단하는 배터리 관리 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,
상기 제어부는
상기 제1 충방전 단자 및 상기 제2 충방전 단자 사이에 출력되는 상기 감압 전압의 감압 전압값이 미리 설정된 기준 전압값을 유지하도록 상기 복수의 스위치를 제어하는 배터리 관리 장치.
