Claims (16)
- 디스플레이 장치(3)를 조명하는 조명 시스템에 있어서,광 방출 윈도우(2) 및 광을 발광 패널(1) 내로 결합시키는 적어도 하나의 광 결합 에지 영역(4)을 갖는 발광 패널(1)과,상기 광 결합 에지 영역(4)과 평행하게 연장하는 종방향(15)의 광 혼합 챔버(5) - 상기 광 혼합 챔버는 광원(6, 6')을 구비하며, 상기 광 결합 에지 영역(4)과 결합됨 -를 포함하되,상기 광원(6, 6')은 상이한 광 방출 파장을 갖는 발광 다이오드(6B,6G,6R, ...; 16B,16G,16R,16G', ...; 26B,26G,26R,26G',...)의 복수개의 클러스터 - 상기 클러스터는 서로에 대해 피치(P)에서 배치됨 - 를 포함하고상기 광 혼합 챔버(5)의 높이(H) 및 상기 발광 다이오드(6B,6G,6R, ...; 16B,16G,16R,16G', ...; 26B,26G,26R,26G',...)의 상기 클러스터의 상기 피치(P) 사이의 비는 의 관계를 만족하며,상기 광 혼합 챔버(5)의 높이(H)는 상기 광 결합 에지 영역(4)에 대해 직각으로 측정되는 것을 특징으로 하는 조명 시스템.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,상기 광 혼합 챔버(5)의 높이(H)와 상기 발광 다이오드(6B,6G,6R, ...; 16B,16G,16R,16G', ...; 26B,26G,26R,26G',...)의 클러스터의 피치(P)의 비는 를 만족하되, β는 상기 광 혼합 챔버(5)의 상기 종방향(15)에 평행한 평면 내의 상기 발광 다이오드(6B,6G,6R, ...; 16B,16G,16R,16G', ...; 26B,26G,26R,26G',...)의 광 방출 각도로써 상기 발광 다이오드(6B,6G,6R, ...; 16B,16G,16R,16G', ...; 26B,26G,26R,26G',...)의 종방향 축(21)에 대해 측정되고βmax는 상기 발광 다이오드(6B,6G,6R, ...; 16B,16G,16R,16G', ...; 26B,26G,26R,26G',...)가 동작 중에, │β│ ≤ βmax인 β의 값에 대해 상기 발광 다이오드의 에너지의 90 %를 방출하는 β의 최대 값인 것을 특징으로 하는 조명 시스템.
- 제 3 항에 있어서,상기 각 βmax의 값은 60°≤ βmax ≤ 80°인 것을 특징으로 하는조명 시스템.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,D는 상기 광 혼합 챔버(5)의 상기 종방향(15)에 대해 직각으로 측정된 상기 광 혼합 챔버(5)의 폭이고,α는 상기 광 혼합 챔버(5)의 상기 종방향을 가로지르는 평면 내의 상기 발광 다이오드(6B,6G,6R, ...; 16B,16G,16R,16G', ...; 26B,26G,26R,26G',...)의 광 방출 각도로써, 상기 발광 다이오드(6B,6G,6R, ...; 16B,16G,16R,16G', ...; 26B,26G,26R,26G',...)의 종방향 축에 대해 측정된 것이며,αmax는 상기 발광 다이오드(6B,6G,6R, ...; 16B,16G,16R,16G', ...; 26B,26G,26R,26G',...)가 동작 중에, │α│ ≤ αmax의 α의 값에 대해 상기 발광 다이오드의 에너지의 90 %를 방출하는 α의 최대값인 것을 특징으로 하는조명 시스템.
- 제 5 항에 있어서,상기 발광 다이오드(6)가 상기 광 결합 에지 영역과 격리되고 상기 광 결합 에지 영역(4)에 평행하게 연장하는 상기 광 혼합 챔버(5)의 벽 내에 제공된다면, 상기 각 αmax는 20°≤ αmax ≤ 50°의 범위 내에 존재하거나,상기 발광 다이오드(6')가 상기 광 결합 에지 영역(4)에 직교하는, 상기 광 혼합 챔버(5)의 벽 내에 제공된다면, 상기 각 αmax는 60°≤ αmax ≤ 80°의 범위 내에 존재하는 것을 특징으로 하는조명 시스템.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,상기 광 혼합 챔버(5)의 상기 종방향에 대해 직교하는 방향으로 측정되는 상기 광 혼합 챔버(5)의 상기 폭(D)은 3 ≤ D ≤ 15 mm의 범위 내에 존재하는 것을 특징으로 하는조명 시스템.
- 제 7 항에 있어서,상기 폭(D)은 3 ≤ D ≤ 5 mm의 범위 내에 존재하는 것을 특징으로 하는조명 시스템.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,상이한 광 방출 파장을 갖는 발광 다이오드(6B,6G,6R, ...; 16B,16G,16R,16G', ...; 26B,26G,26R,26G',...)의 클러스터의 각각은,하나의 청색(6B), 하나의 녹색(6G) 및 하나의 적색(6R) 발광 다이오드와,하나의 청색(6B ; 26B), 두 개의 녹색(16G, 16G' ; 26G, 26G') 및 하나의 적색(16R ; 26R) 발광 다이오드와,하나의 청색, 하나의 황색 및 하나의 적색 발광 다이오드와,하나의 청색(6B), 두 개의 황색 및 하나의 적색 발광 다이오드로 형성된 그룹으로부터 선택되는 것을 특징으로 한는조명 시스템.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,확산기(7)는 상기 광 혼합 챔버(5)와 상기 광 결합 에지 영역(4) 사이에 존 재하는 것을 특징으로 하는조명 시스템.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,상기 패널은 상기 발광 패널(1)의 맞은 편에 위치하는 두 개의 광 결합 에지 영역(4)을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는조명 시스템.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,상기 발광 다이오드(6B,6G,6R, ...; 16B,16G,16R,16G', ...; 26B,26G,26R,26G',...)는 적어도 5 lm의 광 플럭스를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는조명 시스템.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,상기 조명 시스템은 발광 다이오드(6B,6G,6R, ...; 16B,16G,16R,16G', ...; 26B,26G,26R,26G',...)의 광 플럭스를 변화시키는 제어 전자 장치를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는조명 시스템.
- 광 방출 윈도우(2) 및 광을 발광 패널(1) 내로 결합시키는 적어도 하나의 광 결합 에지 영역(4)을 구비하는 발광 패널(1)을 포함하는 조명 시스템에 사용하기 위한 광 혼합 챔버(5)로서,상기 광 결합 에지 영역(4)에 평행하게 연장하는 종방향(15)의 상기 광 혼합 챔버(5)에는 광원(6, 6')이 제공되고 상기 광 결합 에지 영역(4)과 결합되며,상기 광원(6, 6')은 상이한 광 방출 파장을 갖는 발광 다이오드(6B,6G,6R, ...; 16B,16G,16R,16G', ...; 26B,26G,26R,26G',...)의 복수 개의 클러스터 - 상기 클러스터는 서로에 대해 피치(P)에 배치됨 - 를 포함하고,상기 광 혼합 챔버(5)의 높이(H)와 상기 발광 다이오드(6B,6G,6R, ...; 16B,16G,16R,16G', ...; 26B,26G,26R,26G',...)의 상기 클러스터의 상기 피치(P) 사이의 비는 의 관계를 만족하며,상기 광 혼합 챔버(5)의 높이(H)는 상기 광 결합 에지 영역(4)에 대해 수직으로 측정되는광 혼합 챔버.
