Abstract
PURPOSE: The reaction between a perfluoroalkyl iodonium compound and an aromatic compound gives the titled compound used as a hyptonic, humectant, dispersant, emulsifier, extinguisher, finishing agent for paper, leather or fiber and advantageously.
CONSTITUTION: The reaction between a perfluoroalkyliodonium compound of formulaI[A is perfluoroalkyl, OM (M is alkali metal, ammonium residue, pyridinium residue, formula II), alkyl, aryl, halogen, alkoxy; Rf is 1W20C perfluoroalkyl ϕ is substituted or unsubstituted phenyl]and an aromatic compound of formula ArH (Ar is substituted or unsubstituted aromatic group) is conducted, when necessary, in the presence of a base or a catalyst amount of acid, preferably at 0W100°C to give a perfluoroalkylaromatic compound of Ar-Rf. The resultant compound is used as an intermediate of water-repellent oil.
