PURPOSE:To manufacture a highly reliable insulated coil by controlling the condition of impregnation accurately, by converting dielectric characteristics to prescribed temperature by using an operation circuit and indicating the result. CONSTITUTION:A stator 6 is put into an inner tank 5 and inner pressure of an impregnation tank 4 is reduced for a prescribed period of time, and then, an impregnation resin 10 is poured into the tank and a prescribed pressure is applied to inside of the tank 4 by using N2 gas, etc. At this time, an electrostatic capacity C between the conductors, namely, a steel core 3 and a coil 7, or dielectric loss tangent is measured by a dielectric characteristic measuring section 12, and the result is put into an operation section 14. On the other hand, temperature of the impregnation resin 10 is measured by a temperature measuring section 13, and the result is put into the operation section 14. At this operation section 14, electrostatic capacity or dielectric loss tangent is calculated from these two inputs, and the result is indicated by a recording indicator 15 or a printer 16. This is so designed that the impregnation process is to be completed when the electrostatic capacity or the dielectric loss tangent reached the required value.
