Abstract
Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.次の: (a)水、 (b)基剤媒体、 (c)亜鉛酸化物、水酸化亜鉛、亜鉛の塩類及びそれらの組み合わせより成る 群から選ばれる亜鉛化合物、及び (d)ピリチオン亜鉛以外のピリチオン塩単独、又は該ピリチオン塩と亜鉛ピ リチオンとの組み合わせ を特徴とする水性被覆組成物にして、該ピリチオン塩はピリチオンナトリウム、 ピリチオン・第三ブチルアミン、ピリチオンアルミニウム、ピリチオンカルシウ ム、ピリチオンカリウム、ピリチオンマグネシウム、ピリチオンバリウム及びそ れらの組み合わせより成る群から選ばれ、該亜鉛化合物は該被覆組成物中に、そ の組成物の重量基準で、0.001〜10%の量で存在し、そして該ピリチオン 塩は該組成物中に約1:10〜約10:1の該ピリチオン塩対該亜鉛化合物のモ ル比で存在している上記水性被覆組成物。 2.前記の基剤媒体がポリマーのラテックスであることを特徴とする、請求の 範囲第1項に記載の水性被覆組成物。 3.水性被覆組成物に抗菌有効性を付与する方法にして、次の: (a)該被覆組成物をその被覆組成物の重量基準で0.1〜2重量%の量のピ リチオンナトリウムと接触させ、そして (b)該被覆組成物をその組成物の重量基準で1〜10重量%の酸化亜鉛と接 触させ、そして該酸化亜鉛の少なくとも一部を該ピリチオンナトリウムの少なく とも一部と反応させ、それによってピリチオンナトリウムをピリチオン亜鉛に転 化させる 工程を特徴とする上記の方法。 4.基体に被覆組成物を塗布して該基体に抗菌有効性を示すコーティングを与 える方法にして、次の: (a)該被覆組成物中の20℃における溶解度が少なくとも4,000ppm である、該被覆組成物の重量基準で約0.01〜約0.5重量%の可溶性ピリチ オン塩を該被覆組成物に配合し、 (b)該被覆組成物に金属イオン含有化合物をその組成物の重量基準で0.0 01〜10重量%の量で配合して該金属イオン含有化合物の少なくとも一部を該 可溶性ピリチオン塩の少なくとも一部とキレート交換反応させ、それによってピ リチオン金属含有被覆組成物を形成させ、ここで該ピリチオン金属の該被覆組成 物中溶解度は100ppm未満であり、 (c)基体上にピリチオン金属含有コーティングを形成させるために、該基体 を該ピリチオン金属含有被覆組成物と接触させ、そして (d)該基体上の該ピリチオン金属含有コーティングを乾燥させて該基体上に 浸出抵抗性で、抗菌作用上有効な量の該ピリチオン金属を含有する乾燥塗膜を形 成させる 工程を特徴とする上記の方法。 5.前記の金属イオン含有化合物が金属塩、金属酸化物、金属水酸化物及びそ れらの組み合わせより成る群から選ばれることを特徴とする、請求の範囲第4項 に記載の方法。 6.前記の金属イオン含有化合物が亜鉛、銅、チタン及びそれらの組み合わせ より成る群から選ばれる金属イオンを含むことを特徴とする、請求の範囲第4項 に記載の方法。 7.前記の可溶性ピリチオン塩が、ピリチオンナトリウム、ピリチオン・第三 ブチルアミン、ピリチオンアルミニウム、ピリチオンカルシウム、ピリチオンカ リウム、ピリチオンマグネシウム、ピリチオンバリウム及びそれらの組み合わせ より成る群から選ばれることを特徴とする、請求の範囲第4項に記載の方法。 8.前記可溶性ピリチオン塩の前記金属イオン含有化合物に対するモル比が約 1:10〜約10:1であることを特徴とする、請求の範囲第4項に記載の方法 。
