Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively restrict the adhesion of filth and achieve a linear retainability and a resistance to compression by covering both internal and external surfaces of a coil pipe with a metal fine wire spirally wound watertight with a flexible tube to form a flexible sheath which is detachably inserted into a treatirg device insertion channel of an endoscope. SOLUTION: In hot biopsy forceps for an endoscope which has a tip treating part 200 equipped with a pair of tissue sampling cups 201 free to open or close as treating device for an endoscope and allows feeding of the cups 201 with a high frequency current, the pair of tissue sampling cups 201 is driven to open or close through a link mechanism 205 by the operation of advancing or retracting an operation wire 204 inserted through a sheath 1. To form the sheath, the internal and external surfaces of a coil pipe 11 with a stainless steel wire spirally wound closely to a specified diameter are covered watertight with flexible tubes 13 and 12. The flexible tubes herein used are made of a fluororesin, polyethylene or the like having an electrically insulating property.

2. Description of the Related Art In general, a treatment instrument for an endoscope is provided with a treatment member at a distal end of a flexible sheath inserted into and removed from a treatment instrument insertion channel of the endoscope, and an operation wire inserted through the sheath is sheathed. It is configured to operate the distal end treatment member by towing operation from the operation unit connected to the proximal end of the front end.

[0003] A tightly wound coil pipe is widely used as such a flexible sheath. The tightly wound coil pipe has good straightness retention while having flexibility,
Excellent sniper ability for the target can be obtained. Also,
Since it has excellent compression resistance without shrinking in the axial direction, it is suitable for use as a sheath of a treatment tool to which a strong force is applied when pulling an operation wire.

[0004] However, since the coil pipe has no electrical insulation and poor surface slippage, a sheath of the coil pipe is used as a sheath of a treatment instrument using a high-frequency current or a treatment instrument in which low insertion resistance is important. An outer surface coated with a flexible tube is used.

However, the sheath having such a structure in which the outer surface of the coil pipe is covered with the flexible tube is very difficult to clean dirt attached to the inner coil pipe after use. In order to completely avoid the problem of hygiene, it has to be disposable, which has a disadvantage that the economic efficiency is extremely low.

The flexible tube 13 on the inner surface side is pulled in the axial direction at the time of assembling, and is positioned in the coil pipe 11 in a state where the outer diameter is reduced. Then, the pulling force is released and the flexible tube 13 adheres to the inner surface of the coil pipe 11. Alternatively, a thermal expansion tube may be used. Further, a tube having a size that can be loosely inserted into the coil pipe 11 may be used as it is.

According to the present invention, since the sheath of the treatment instrument for an endoscope is formed by covering the inner and outer surfaces of the coil pipe with the flexible tubes in a watertight manner, the sheath is flexible and has a straight-line holding property. It has excellent resistance to sniping and durability because it has compression resistance, etc., and the coil pipe is shielded from the outside so that it is not contaminated. Therefore, it can be easily washed after use.
