2. Description of the Prior Art Polyolefin-based molding materials such as polyethylene and polypropylene are rigid and are used as pseudo-wood and structural materials as large solid or hollow products such as cylinders and prisms.
The moldable length limit is 1.5-2 m. If a length of 3 to 4 m or more is required, it is necessary to join a plurality of pieces. However, it is very difficult to firmly bond the polyolefin molding material with the adhesive. There is also a method in which a flange portion is formed at the joint ends of the molding materials and the flange portions are mechanically joined, but the joint portion projects from the side portion, which is not preferable in terms of appearance and construction. Further, there is a heat fusion method as a method for joining polyolefin-based molding materials, but this method is intended for small articles. This method is performed by accurately cutting the mutual fusion surfaces into flat surfaces, and since large-sized materials have a large welding heat capacity and are difficult to use even with a welding machine, they are limited to indoor work. At present, hot air welding is used only for air-conditioning ducts having a thickness of several mm.

In view of the above situation, the inventors have studied a method for firmly bonding large-sized polyolefin-based molding materials to each other and easily constructing them even in outdoor work, and have made an adhesive, particularly an epoxy resin adhesive. Focusing on the fact that the agent has a very strong adhesiveness to metal,
The present invention has been completed.

According to the present invention, metal plates having mutually matching shapes are fixed to the respective bonding end faces of both polyolefin-based molding materials to be bonded, and the metal plates are bonded to each other with an adhesive. A method for bonding a polyolefin-based molding material is provided. The adhesive is not particularly limited as long as it can be firmly adhesively bonded to a metal, but an epoxy resin adhesive is particularly preferably used from the viewpoint of excellent adhesiveness, handleability, weather resistance and the like.

The method of the present invention will be described with reference to examples. Figure 1
Is a perspective view before combining the pseudo-trees, and FIG. 2 is a perspective view after combining them. An annular metal disk 4 having a nail hole 3 formed in the upper artificial wood 1 and an annular metal disk 5 in the lower artificial wood are similarly mechanically joined by driving screw nails 6 as shown in FIG. It Next, an epoxy resin adhesive 7 is applied to these metal discs 4 and 5, and the metal discs are adhered to each other, so that the upper pseudo-tree 1 and the lower pseudo-tree 2 are formed as shown in FIG.
To join. After the adhesive is hardened, the excess adhesive that has run off is scraped off and the side surface of the bonded portion is finished.

In the above embodiment, the pseudo wood is taken as an example, but the polyolefin type molding material to be bonded is preferably applied to pseudo wood pile, other solid or hollow cylindrical material, square wood or a molding material having a similar shape. To be done. For reinforcement of a large hollow material, metal tubes may be inserted into the upper and lower hollow cylinders. In addition to the plane, the bonding end surface of the polyolefin-based molding material has a convex part or convex ring protruding upward on one side and a concave part or annular groove corresponding to this on the other side. The low peel strength of the adhesive may be compensated for by appropriately fixing the metal plates and fitting the metal plates together and adhering them together. Further, the metal plate can be formed by punching a steel plate, a light alloy plate or the like, and the thickness thereof is about 1 to 2 mm, although it depends on the size of the polyolefin molding material. In addition to screw nails, screws, screw-bolts, etc., which firmly bond to the metal plate and the polyolefin-based molding material and which do not cause cracks during driving, may be used.

In the method of the present invention, the metal plate and the polyolefin material-based molding material are mechanically bonded to each other, and the metal plate and the metal plate are bonded together by the epoxy resin adhesive.
Both polyolefin-based molding materials form an extremely strong bond and can be used in the same manner as those integrally molded as a structural material. Further, according to the method of the present invention, a strong bond can be obtained through adhesion between metal surfaces without using a special material and without requiring strict flatness of the bonding end surface of the polyolefin-based molding material. .

According to the method of the present invention, a polyolefin-based molding material can be easily and firmly bonded on site. In addition, since the large-sized long material joined by the method of the present invention is not conspicuous without the joining portion protruding to the outside, unlike a metal product, as a pseudo wooden pole, a pseudo wooden pile, etc., for example, a pillar of Shiaya in a scenic area, an electric pole, It is very useful as a pseudo-pile for scenic views of water.
