Abstract

PURPOSE:To unify a creating method of embroidery data so as to improve reproduceability of the embroidery data, obtained even when an input is repeated relating to an equal original picture, while shortening a data creation time by dividing a contour line of a matrix picture into a plurality of segments suited for embroidery and storing each segment as the embroidery data in accordance with a predetermined rule. CONSTITUTION:First, a reference point 0 is determined in a suitable position in a matrix picture plane of showing a matrix picture. Next, an embroidery picture processing start point P0 is set to one end of the first segment in the matrix picture by setting a point of distance R nearest(or farthermost) of lines for constituting each matrix picture from the reference point 0 as the embroidery picture processing start point P0. For instance, in a wood A, a start point A1 is determined by setting the point P0 in the shortest distance from the reference point 0. Next, a segment is selected by setting l0 to segments A1, A2 and determining l1 to segments A2, A3 with a mininal clockwise directional angle relating to a perpendicular line. Hereinafter, segments A3, A4, A4, A5,...A2, A1 are successively determined to perform data processing. ln this way, the segment, divided from the start point, is changed into an embroidery data by automatically determining the start point in a predetermined distance from the reference point, so that an equal control data can be created by determining the start point to always agree with an equal original picture even when automatic creation is repeated by any number of times.

An automatic method, such as the one described in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 1-170494, analyzes an original image stored as line drawing data and embroiders a plurality of line segments of a length suitable for line drawing embroidery and the intersection points of both ends of each line segment. There are devices that automatically input image data into the storage unit, but if you repeat the input for the same original image,
Differences occurred in the creation of embroidery image data, and reproducibility was low.

(Means for Solving the Problems) The present invention creates embroidery data used in a computerized embroidery sewing machine by converting an original image composed of outlines displayed on an electronic display unit such as a liquid crystal or a cathode ray tube onto the display unit. A predetermined rule based on a point set at an appropriate position, for example, a line segment of an appropriate length in a certain direction on a line drawing starting from a part of the line drawing that is closest or farthest from the reference point. The coordinate position of each divided line segment is stored in the storage unit as control data, and the process is gradually progressed.
At branching points in the process, one line segment is selected from among multiple line segments and converted into data according to a predetermined rule, thereby reducing the creation time of embroidery image data and repeatedly converting the same line drawing into embroidery data. This also allows for reproducibility.

(Function) The present invention uses a computer embroidery machine to segment a contour line made up of line drawing data stored in a line drawing-like matrix drawing from an original drawing into a plurality of line segments, and at the same time divides the contour line into a plurality of line segments and sets a predetermined reference point in a part of the matrix screen. A start point for embroidery processing is determined in a line segment located at a predetermined distance from the start point, and each line segment is automatically processed as embroidery image data in the order of stitch configuration according to a predetermined rule from the start point. The present invention relates to a method, and the present invention further relates to a computer embroidery machine that uses a pattern selection device to select a pattern on a part of a contour line and on a surface surrounded by the contour line, which is composed of line drawing data in which an original image is stored as a line drawing-like matrix image. The present invention relates to an embroidery image process in which a selected pattern is added and a contour line is divided into lines, and an embroidery image process is performed on the additional pattern.

The present invention automatically converts a matrix drawing into an embroidery drawing according to the above-mentioned rules.A reference point is determined, and a starting point at a distance based on a predetermined law from the reference point is automatically converted. Since the line segments determined and separated from the starting point are converted into embroidery data, the starting point always matches for the same original image, so no matter how many times automatic creation is repeated, the same control data will be created. It will be done.

(Effects) Since the present invention allows embroidery images to be created using the method described above, as long as the original matrix image is the same, there will be no difference in control data due to the difference in operation even if the operator is different. Therefore, it is possible to repeatedly create control data for the same embroidery image, resulting in high reproducibility accuracy, which is highly effective in practice.
